My Dad was born here in 1916 and put into foster care here until he was 7yrs old when his Grandma, living near Milford, Donegal took him back home. I wish I knew which house he lived in and more about his early years. He probably went to Altishane Primary School, the smallest Primary school in Northern Ireland opened in 1830 and closed last year in 2019.My Dad was my war hero serving on Aircraft Carriers in WW2 fighting the Italians in the Mediterranean and the Japanese in the Pacific. He died in1965, only 49 yrs old.I was only 12yrs old so didn't get chance to ask all the important questions Donemana looks great, though I bet it was much smaller in 1916.
