Hi, awesome video you created! Just out of wonder, if I were to wrote an article, is it required for me to write in past tense throughout? Or present tense? NEED HELPPP :/
An amazing video once again. Really helped me revising for mock examinations. Just a question: do you not think it is slightly unrealistic that in 40 minutes we can write something of that standard and as long as you did. Do you mind me asking whether you spent 40 minutes?
Hi, although it is advised to spend 45-50 minutes on this question, you can spend longer if you get the other questions done quickly. But do not rush as there is plenty of time in the exam. Hope this helped and good luck with your mocks 😊❤
There is. Ambitious vocab such as "plethora" and "skeptical" has been implemented for a more sophisticated tone. There's also a lot of structural and language techniques, such as rhetorical questions, "what are the ways I can volunteer?"; tricolons, "children's charities, animal charities, homeless charities"; hypophora, "What is it? It is your duty."; alliteration, "down and depressed". There is also of course varying sentence structures and collective pronouns, also direct address such as "you". Also, there are numerous good ways in which there has been attempts to empathise with the listener (especially towards the end) when she says things like "you may struggle". You don't need to constantly use ridiculously impressive words to maintain a high level of sophistication/tone, however I do agree that you should use as ambitious vocabulary as you can IF it suits the tone and you are fully aware of the definition of the word (plus its spelling) in relation to the context of what you're writing.
I agree that you shouldn't say "im writing to you because.." but when it comes to writing a letter It may be acceptable to say things like "this letter discusses" "I'm informing you" or "I'm writing to you solely on the reason..". So you can use it but only at the start and it has to be brief.
@@FirstRateTutors Okay thank you very much, i have my mocks in a week, and i have 2 language papers and 1 literature paper. However before my english teacher said we wouldn't do any literature paper for our mocks so i didn't revise for it and focused on language instead. But yesterday i found out that infact i do have a literature paper which will be based on macbeth and inspector calls. I have revised for macbeth for my last mocks and i also did jekyl and hyde, however this mocks i am doing macbeth and inspector calls which i havn't prepared for inspector calls. My mocks start next week and so im wondering if there is any quotes you could give me for inspector calls. I am stressing out a little bit and if there is any tips for inspector calls please let me know. Thank you so much!

can you do a video on question 7 edxcel please?
I'll try but not 100% sure. Have you watched my previous Question 7 vids?
Will you be marked down if you don’t write the address and the subheadings for the article
There's no negative marking so you won't be marked down - don't worry!
Love your handwriting ❤
Thank you 😊
can you write in an informal tone to entertain?
Not too informal. One or two informal words but you'll be penalised if it's all informal.
This is so useful and easy to understand thanksss
Glad it was helpful!

I need Edexel English first language in pdf form as teacher
is a letter expected to come cuz thats the only thing im confident in😢
You shouldn't sweat it! With EDEXCEL you're lucky as you get a choice, so if you don't like the letter question, do the other one.
Thank you so much for this, legend

I have a question, say for example you dont know any charities, then would you make up some charities name?
Yes exactly! Make it up if you can't think of any on the spot.

You definitely don’t write 2 😂 you have to pick one of them and answer it but that’s only for the 40 marker transactional
Pick one, not both.
