Welcome to another GIG LOG, two in one week you guys are in for a treat. I really hope you enjoy this one. This was a 25th wedding anniversary celebration with a all white party theme. There were 3 different acts at this party they had a Mexican, a mariachi and myself the DJ. I had a great time time at this party anytime there is mariachis at party I always enjoy it because, I am a huge fan of that genre of music. The party was off to a great start but, as the night progressed the neighbors were not too happy about the noise coming from the party do they called the cops. The cops let the party continue but at a very low volume. That made DJing really tough but, despite to low volume of the party the people where determine to party and they sure as hell party. It was an awesome night and a great party!
I Hope you enjoy this Vlog - please thumbs it up if you liked it and subscribe for more videos (New Vlogs Uploaded Weekly).

ABOUT ME: I'm 24-Years old. I was born in Nicaragua but, I currently live in New Jersey, USA. I am an open-format DJ, an aspiring photographer, and TH-cam Vlogger. I hope you find my videos entertaining, if you have any questions feel free to ask.
Wow! we actually got to see 5 cartoon Barr's. This wedding anniversary had all the great ingredients to be a sweet party; tacos, alcohol, positive people, kick ass music, and the police came in three times that just means the party was really rocking!! Great work DJ BARR!!
The tacos defiantly pushed this one over... Again it only got 5 on a technicality - have yet to give party an official 5 out of 5. :)
Haha - I'm surprised that after 3 police appearances that the party still continued... seems like a great crowd to work with. I can also relate to that fact of playing with the volume so low.... it kills me... well done for as always being "the life of the party" :P
Yes, the crowed was great... They were determined! Playing with the volume so low is so hard to do, it tough to get pumped!
This is so crazy I remember going to this party I was invited by one of my ex’s lol there was also a bouncy house for the kids and I just recently started viewing your blogs I remember that day you rocked it out 🤘🏼
Rain, sun, & cops...you still delivered! Great log.
You know it, Thanks man!
I am utterly amazed-the cops came 3TIMES and let you keep rocking?
WOW!
Even where i'm from in beach area of Delaware, a party thrown by "my people" gets no second chances Dj Bar.
-you see a police car roll up on the scene, you might as well start unplugging cables and my brotha!
As always-Loved the video
Yes, thats the case here too... But, it all depends on the town you are in.
Another successful party, keep them rockin bro. I just finished up one another gig log of mine. Just have to add a few details but should be up and running soon!
Thanks man, I will keep an eye out for your video.
its READY! finally lol
Great Logs Mi Compai , one small advice.... Please play some music that U R playing at the Gigs....Especially when U have the crowd all crazieeee 👍 Keep doing it , love what U R doing 👍👍👍
Thanks man, I would love to put more video of the music but, youtube would delete my channel if I did that.
Love the fireworks at the end LOL
I know right, they where awesome lol
Nice gig man. I always enjoy watching em. By the way. Did you play cumbias and Nortenas? Or what did you mostly play?
I played a lot of cumbia and bachata --- not too much nortenas.
I am a sixteen year old dj and I was wondering if you could tell me where do you get your dj equipment from I'm trying to have up and improve my setup
I just get my DJ from Guitar Center but, I mostly rent from friends.
You inspire me to do my own gig vlogs 😁 how do you get started?
Awesome man go for it! You just need a camera and start recoding!
5:46 whats the song the band is playing
I love that blog song. But what's the name??? It's stuck in my head
Question - I am new to getting lighting...I know it's not your area of expertise or interest but I see that you went w the Adj Pars , adj color bar and the Chauvet swarms...simple and not super expensive set up. Now that you have experience using them and know what else is out there - do you have any regrets? I was thinking of copying that same lighting set up. What would you do differently? If anything.
I have learned a lot about lighting since then... I love my ADJ Pars and ADJ Ultra Bar. The only thing I would Change about my current set up is my Chauvet Swarms 5 FX for the Chauvet Swarm Wash FX or the Chauvet Q5. I do love my current set up, but I the Swarm Wash FX would look a lot better with my ADJ Pars and Bar.
Another Great Gig Vlog! Once I DJayed A Party Where The Cops Came. We Offered Them Food & Drinks. They Were Cool. They Said Just Lower The Music Until We Go. The Party Just Kept Going!
Thats a great idea but, usually that only works the first time... Not, the second of third time. LOL
u only had to two high's but if u had the bass speakers the people across would have gotten really angry.....great video n great editing☺😁👍👌✊✌
Thanks - If I would have brought the subs the neighbors would have called the cops more times lol
I Dj'd a small house party and two weeks in a row the cops showed up, but I DIDN'T KNOW THEY WERE THERE UNTIL SOMEONE TAPPED ME ON THE SHOULDER. My back was to the road (outside party) and all of a sudden people stop dancing and I thought I chose a bad song to play so I started another and someone came over and was like "dude, cut the music. The cops are here" and this happened 2 weeks in a row with music that was nowhere near that loud. Should have started playing "Bad Boys" haha
Thats sucks man... but, yeah it happens lol
It was a funny experience for me...I didn't get in trouble so oh well haha
Man that sucks when they call the po-po... Out here in Chicago its after 11PM unless the neighbors are cool with you... But glade it all worked out good...
yeah, the neighbors where assholes.
+Bayardo A Rugama (DJ Barr) I used to bring neighbors to my party, but today if you got forbid play at 50% music idiots call the cops... why? why? ppl suck today because they can't let others have fun sad litle humans
Nice party!!! Will certainly subscribe for a very well done video and gig:)
Thank you, happy to hear you enjoyed the video.
WASUP My man how r u again... I know ur not a mexican Dj but Do u think u have a decent amount of Mexican music on your laptop.. or you just ask for a song list before you go to the party?? and if u do have alot of music where do u get it from??? please let me know.. Im from Ecuador and I just happen to live in California and whenever I go to mexican parties and super nervous man.. I just play the classics but like I need a heck of alot more... lol
thank you once again for another amazing video! ;)
Thank you for watching. :)
Wow is this the only 5 star gig?
Snapchat Squad!!!! Great job as always!!
Thanks bro!
Hey Barr, first off i wanna say that I love your videos man! I'm 16 and I have my first semi big gig in a hall and I'm nervous as hell! I've done only family parties and college house parties but thats about it. But this weekend there's gonna be about 100 people and I'm excited but scared at the same time! you got any tips for me? again, love your videos!
Thanks for watching - Just go in there and rock out... nothing to be nervous about - just keep pushing forward.
Ive notice in your videos that you don't own any lights and i have seen that you told us that you rent but why not buy moving heads or scanners or even led fixtures? Also cool on the editing your good at it
Im broke.... lol
Yu need a traveling secretary to get you where you need to be on time. Always dig your videos.
You are right, I'm always so busy... I need to hire someone lol
nice gig!!
hate when everyone is having fun & cops show up.
thats how you know its a good party!
Ahhhh !!!! No worries Mi Hermanito 👍
:D
Ayeeee Your First 5 out of 5 Cartoon Dj Barrs!!
first one but, not official because we don't what it would have been like if they didn't call the cops.
+Bayardo A Rugama (DJ Barr) I agree with you man!! Once cops are called in parties they stop having fun but I'm glad the party you did they kept the hypeness no matter what
vlogs getting on da 100!!!!!!! though
you know it bro!
That’s why they need to invite the neighbors. No complaints
seems like you do a lot of spanish parties.
yes.
Was this a reupload?
no
+Bayardo A Rugama (DJ Barr) Bro it looks like you're moving since everything was removed
you no when it's a party when the po comes 3 times
Who's Glow Totems?
???
It's too bad the neighbors weren't invited or had a better relationship with them. Plus they are extremely lucky the cops didn't end it. I've never heard in 30 years of DJing 3 visits and it kept going. The biggest house party I did was 300 people and two dance floors with a video camera to keep an eye on what was happening upstairs while I DJd both from downstairs. We told the cops to come check out the setup the day before and hired our own security to check IDs and take care of drunks or trouble makers. It was pretty epic since it was at a big house on a lake. I'll have a hard time topping it. I even had a liquor rep from Baha Rosa that gave me two cases of Baha to give out for free. Lol. I also found myself jumping on a water trampoline with two young ladies who wanted to skinny dip at one point as the music was on autopilot around 2am.
It'd be cool if you played the original audio specifically when you DJ rather your usual songs that you use throughout the vlog. I think it would easily make these vlogs x100 better. It'll get us feeling the party too ya know?
that would be cool but, that would also get my channel deleted. You can't use copy righted music on youtube.
+Bayardo A Rugama (DJ Barr) really? I've seen many other DJ vlogs that all have the original sound when they DJ.
Its not that you can't do it... its just dangerous - They do it because they don't care --- I put too time and effort on my channel, I would be really upset if I get my channel got deleted for uploading copyrighted music.
Anyone else cringe when he calls his CDJ's "CDJ's 2000" instead of "CDJ 2000s" lol. Meant to be light-hearted so no hate, gig logs are always on point. Way better than I can do at the moment!
I don't think anyone cares
now I'm always going to have that in the back of my mind lol
Ha! I always get a quick laugh from it!
wait I sow this on snap chat like 2 weeks ago ;)
Yes, this was the party.

an I was wondering how loud can I turn my speakers out
hi I'm Mario I'm a new dj
That's how we Mexicans get down, we party all night..
hell yeah!
Snapchat Squad 💯
thats whats up... thanks man!
wow, who tf disliked...lol
The neighbors lol
It probably was the neighbors lol
hey bro i love how you do ur videos im looking foward in doing a good job like u in future ..i just made my first video can u go check it out and let me know what you think
Will do man, thank you for watching.
Here's how I see it: Mexican or not, you still need to respect your neighbors.
1. Have your parties during the day
2. If you don't like people calling the cops, simply rent a hall and play your music as loud as you want to for as long as you want to.
3. If your white neighbors seem to be too relentless on calling the cops, simply move to a Mexican neighborhood where playing music to all hours of the night would be more tolerated. Remember that the neighborhood has to be shared and respected by all who live in it.
Where I live, we don't put up with that. We don't have to wait until 10 to call the cops out. If our peace and quiet is disturbed, no matter what time of the day it is, we simply call the cops. If the cops have to come out a second time, a $100 citation is given to the owner of the house and to the DJ. If they have to come out a third time then a $300 citation is given and the party is shut down and DJ equipment is confiscated. The DJ can pick it up at the police station after the fine is paid.
+Mrmemories64 sounds you live in a shitty place man... The cops around here are pretty cool. Party was during the day lol the volume was lowered the neighbors just weren't having it. Neighbors weren't white they were Jewish lol - and I have no control over moving a party to another location... I'm not the one throwing it.
Actually, no I live in a pretty decent place, and it's because our cops are so strict that it's decent and peaceful place to live. See, we feel that we need to respect our neighbors' peace and quiet just as much as they need to respect ours. The Mexican family who lived in our neighborhood would try to throw these parties every weekend. The parties would start in the afternoon but you you didn't hear music until night rolled around, and that's when it seemed to get the loudest. Every time the music got too loud we'd call the cops because it was infringing on our peace and quiet. We were fair....we waited until 9-10 PM, and the neighbors knew that the music had to either be turned down low or off by that time, but they never obeyed that ordinance. That lasted for about one year and after numerous citations and finally complaint reports made on the those neighbors, they ended up moving. As expected, they tried to play a race card, but the police reports for all the times that they had to go out there crushed that.
No, you have no control over moving the party, but you have control on how loud you play the music. Yes, I understand that you are hired to play music and you have to play what you are asked to. If they ask you to play the music loud, you have to do what they say because they are paying you to do so, I understand that, but I know many DJ's are in full control and usually do what they want. There's no reason that music has to be played so loud that it can be heard three blocks away. That's just plain ignorance. As I mentioned before, in my town, not only is the owner of the house cited, but the DJ is as well. As far as the Jewish neighbors, yes, they should have eased up a little during the day, but come night the people throwing the party should have eased up on the music. It looked like a pretty affluent neighborhood and I'm sure people who live there work their butts off to be able to afford to live in such a place. Weekends are the only time they have to themselves. Who wants to hear loud music all day and into the night? Like I said, there are halls and specific places to hold these parties where they can play their music as loud and as long as they want. Having it in a person's backyard in a neighborhood shared by other people is not the place unless the noise level is respected. Me explico?
+Mrmemories64 yeah man.. like i said in the vlog the music was low... The cops came and measured the sound and they told us that it could not be turned up passed that db number, I complied... The neighbors were just upset about the party in general... The neighbors kept calls the cops would have to come every time even if nothing was wrong... As far as your neighbors I'm not sure what to tell you.... I'm was just doing my job. I kept the noise level down that, like I mentioned... that is why the cops did not shut down my party... I can't do anything about the halls. Im just the DJ... That is a conversation you should have to the people who hired me/neighbor. Sounds like your really upset for with them. lol - if they are throwing a party every weeknd;I don't know about it because I just djed this one... Sorry to hear about your neighbors man, That would suck. I don't thinking my speakers are loud enough to cover 3 blocks 😅
well in my country you can play music as loud for about 20 minute after that you have send volume dowm by half that rules
