That green marble really does glow! That orange swirl was nice. The little red figure was a nice find as well. That button looked awesome in the cosmetics case.

I am going to try and go back up here in a little bit. I just got pad a few days ago...got all kinds of donuts at walmart. And ate them all. LOL. I have felt lazy and tired since i did. Way to much sweet stuff. I ate like an entire dozen of them the first day. Big mistake

that clear marble I have one next to me it is the top of a lamp shade that's from 1940's or 50's it would screw down the lamp shade. Have a awesome day Rock's Family!!

And the glower. Maybe an Alley? I thought it was a shimmering spruce.....whern I saw it roll. But I dont think so. I will have to look at some photos

Thanks 👍 I know on that half and half marble. You know how on some of the marbles...like the Vitro's. After you handle enough of them. You can tell....by the feel of the glass?
I think that is a vitro.....it is just an odd one. It feels like a Vitro. The glass is different....NICE QUALITY on those marbles...not prone to chipping or cracking. Quality stuff. and that is what it feels like...all the others

Thank you! Cheers! At least I am back on some good ones. I honestly am not sure who even made those last 2 nice ones. That first one looks like a Vitro with the filaments....but that odd curl on the top of it is just odd looking to me. I dunno on that.
And the glowing swirl.....maybe an Alley? But maybe not. Maybe some other pre 1970 swirl of some kind.

Collections marbles are decades old but still some people like me collect it and I respect it
@ 5: 10, the Marble set into a housing is what some of my grandmother's glass bottles had in them, she used them as stoppers, I have one or two in my little bottles. It could be a stopper or for an old car just as you said. You are the most energetic, relentless and courageous digger on you tube. Be good, much love.

Yes, from Stop/Caution/Detour signs. Pre WW2 That's a Special Marble. Ty for taking us along
I was thinking that. I said it a while ago in a video it was a stop sign marble and some marble collector yelled at me and told me it was from a spray can. LOL. So I was not sure.

@@rockscousteau The metal behind it is polished to a mirror shine & the marble intensifies it. As many shops of antiques you visit, you will see one eventually.

Thanks! If it doesnt rain to hard I am going back to that same hole to dig more. I am not sure what either of those marbles are for sure. Those are both kind of odd. I will go spend 3 or 4 hours in there next time...see what goodies come out.

Yea. I did too. But all the ones i knew well....are dead now. My neighbor wored there. But there are two plants. A rolling mill...and then an upper plant. I am not sure what each did.

It just hit me, many Stained Glass Windows contain real, round jewels and different colored marble in them also, only Older American made Stained Glass has this feature. Much love.
I never thought of that. I am going to have to research all this...and buy whatever these marbles were mounted in to show in uploads. I will 100% find more of them. Some of them look like they have sheets of Mica in them....

Yea, Super Odd. That factory is like 3 miles from my house. I have family members who used to work there. Never seen one of these.
I love your enthusiasm for this stuff. It's awesome that you bring these items back to life. I used to work in the Ormet plant. They would pour small samples from each batch into molds for lab testing on the exact alloy chemistry. That was a cool find. Keep up the great work!
I went to another dump in the same town. Close to this factory. Ormet. And found a cast Aluminum sling shot. Id say some dude made there for his kid....and probably cast many of them. I gacve this ormet thing to a guy who used to work there. He said he remembered these on guys desks when he started there. I think it si from maybe the first run of aluminum they made

I pooped out up there in this one. I had to go clean up the flood mess early for my mom. Id say some nice ones will come out of that last place I was on. It is looking like rain though....hopefully not to much.
Hope you are good man. I will try and keep finding stuff. I went to the river today again...it went down more...a good bit. And everything that was uncovered looks even muddier than the resty of it. More trash and junk and mud than I have ever seen.

I've got a few of those marbles with the reflector in them, never thought about them being from a sign but after seeing it mounted in that piece of metal, you're spot on. Definitely from a sign. And man..those other marbles you found are smokers!
Yea I never really did either. I just tend to kind of look at stuff more after I dig it. And started looking at these...some of them even look like they have sheets of Mirror in them. or a mica like sheet. I am not positive they are from a sign....but I would say so. i would have to have a sign with some in it to be 100%. i will look for one and ask around. Try and buy one if that is the case

@@georgiaware3248 Well there is an app for everything. But. If you read into marbles....an app is going to do no good. Most of the marble factories......they kept no record of what they made. The only way to tell who made them is if they are in the packaging they came in.
So an app....is just guessing.
I think it could get to a far better degree of accuracy if the State of West Virginia did some Archaeological digs around the marble factories. Some of the marbles I find......what it could be....I may be wrong.

Plus you 100% have glass blowers making FAKES. And some of the guys making the marbles....the fakes........are experts.

All the cans I am seeing by the roads. I was thinking about just picking up cans....for like an entire day. And see how much i get at the recycling place. I used to do that as a kid and take the money and buy baseball cards, From 1979-1982 I was the can picking Master,. LOL
I saw some guy on here in a video melting down cans he picked up at home in some kiln with a torch...and pouring them into bars. It was pretty cool.
I used to buy silver monthly prior to starting this. LOL. But after starting this.....the money is so much less.....I just have to hope for some in the dump. I have 800 pounds of silver though. So I am good.

I think your right about that reflective marble. I've seen those Stop signs that have the reflective marbles in them, they sure catch your headlights well. Towns that are being restored to their olden days, should bring those back, to give the town that antique feel. That " Ornet " aluminum bar is pretty nice, where you going to put it, Finds Shelf or China Cabinet ? :~)
Yea. I can remember seeing those years ago. They are nice. But I have not seen one in a store for decades. I bet those go for a bunch of money now
They also set those mirrored marbles in the road along the center white/yellow lines. They showed up very well.

Hmmm....I dunno. They probably could have. I have never seen an ingot this small. Wouldnt it be awesome If I found like 500 of them all there on that hill. You could list one ebay auction with 500 available and like $8.00-$10.00 each Buy it now.
I doubt there are more though. And I doubt they dumped many of them...probably just remelted them
It was odd I found that big sheet of thick aluminum later. I was like 15-20 yards away from where the ingot came from. I dont ever remember finding any aluminum like this on any dumps. To bad there was not like 500 pounds of aluminum laying there. I could have had a nice payday at the reccycling place

Where do u get your Riker Display Cases from?
Usually the Antique Mall of Marietta. And I just buy them there to support a local business. But Amazion has them. So does ebay. You want the made in the USA cases. And I would just buy a case of them. It is the best price that way. I think the american manufacturer even has a website you can buy directly from.
