Instead of quarantining everyone I just quarantined the guys who spoke Kikongo but wasn't their first language, I determined this by looking at the number of speech dots in the speech bubbles. Luckily I only had to quarantine around 70 of my 611
I've been through all of my staff (1090), including waiting for those in the brig to be recruited, at least 3 times. Anyone who speaks Kikongo is in quarantine but I've never received the message...
if nothing changes after quarantining a bunch of them just hit escape button until out of menu. Then Ocelot will acknowledge and move on the mission. Thanks to you and the comments here, helped a lot!
Hey man, i recently found your channel because i decided to replay MGS5. I love your content, no "Hey guys (proceeded by a 5 min intro)". You're on subject and you know your audience
I noticed it was the kikongo group, I went down my list of all staff and in gold letters highlighted was Kikongo on only one person, when something is in gold letters it usually is the story progression tracker, but a guy named Greedy Barracuda had kikongo in gold letters so I just quarantined him..... I'm guessing thats what your really supposed to do
1,169 staff I had to go through. Went through a second time just because I'm paranoid and had people in the brig who spoke Kikongo and were released after I finished with the staff in my units.
A search function or some way to categorize would've been nice in the game. My eyes crossed after looking through over a thousand names. Then I missed just one and had to go back and scroll through again.
Thanks a lot for this tip man! Assuming it always is Kikongo, since I've seen that as an example in all vids here on youtube... I thought it had to do something with laungauge, took the ear-piece shoved in the throats of those poor folks in the devils house as a hint... But they really are a-holes for putting this in the game! I had 8 staff members put in quarantine, ALL of them speaks AT LEAST Kikongo, Russian, English, Afrikaans and Pashto, so there's no way to exclude ONE language for me... So now I have 1400 staff member to go through, I seriosly feel depressed man... I've been putting so much effort on recruiting good staff, in the field and online dispatch missions. Cant even send out to recruit S rank anymore. Have only had 2 draws and won the rest in weekly PF simulations but I guess those days are over now...
I have 1400 total staff when this occurred after I completed mission 25 - out of the 1400 , 686 of mine speak kikongo- I quarantined them all, my base levels across the board went down in a major way , now what ? Will these soldiers remain in quarantine from now on or what ?
They killed my iron ox. He was there for a few of my tougher missions and he was the first one killed. Annoying. And now they are taking my killer crab. I still have a couple of s rank characters left
that was damn cruel, I had almost 1000 staff to sort through and ended up losing 60-80. I got them back pretty quick though and with higher stats, all those zombies on the way out of the mansion helped.
This whole thing reminds me of The Sorrow's "Boss Battle.". Depending on how many people you killed, it's going to be either quick, or painfully time consuming... This is similar since the more crew you fulton extract, the tagging is agonizing! If you barely recruit anyone leading up to the outbreak, it'll be much quicker! In other words, pick your poison.
Wow LOL thank you for confirming what I was thinking. I saw that language all the same and i honestly couldn't think that was the real reason thanks for confirming what I thought.
I am way past this in the game. If I take staff from other's FOB and the new recruits speak Kikongo will I need to quarantine them too (even though I a past this?)?
I was wondering what the trick would be, language was not something i considered at first. Thanks for this, i was starting to worry i'd lose half my staff over this.
Agreed with you all, awful game mechanic that I've just run into. HOURS spent doing Side Ops and gathering troops as we're encouraged to do, only to have dozens wiped out in a tedious scrolling nightmare task.
Is it normal not to be able to sent men to dispatch missions? Once i transfered all kikondo men to quarantine i gained control over my base so i retransfered them to their positions as once was... Please reply to this matter
Thx so much I have 200 people and like 70 people died of this and I was like how do I stop this and I already watched your fairy primal video PS4Trophies so now I'm safe thx
Btw guys if you've been to late in doing this there will be a huge outbreak and a bunch of soldiers will die. The quarantine option will disappear then

Came to save time for you.
When you are going to send people on quarentine, just select a few that speak kikongo, then miller will say "Maybe that's the cause",after that you can use autoassign :)
how do i use autoassign
You’re a TRUE genius
When I understood that my main operative soldier was started speak Kikongo when she meant to know only English... I understood about s**t happened
Imagine Snake not got infected long time ago contacting with all those infected soldiers in Africa
Thank you very much. Gonna try this, because I'm too lazy personally to find out who will be infected.
Thanks so much 😭 I was looking at physical features and everything but the language 😭. Helped a lot man thanks 😁!
Thanks so much this really helped me though I am quite sad my stuff was leveled down but still glad that I could slow the number of deaths
And theres goes all my best guys :(
This game is so much grind :/ even firing 250 staff is major annoyance
if nothing changes after quarantining a bunch of them just hit escape button until out of menu.
I can't change the assignment to the Quarantine for some of my kikongo speaking employees
What should I do?
I noticed it was the kikongo group, I went down my list of all staff and in gold letters highlighted was Kikongo on only one person, when something is in gold letters it usually is the story progression tracker, but a guy named Greedy Barracuda had kikongo in gold letters so I just quarantined him..... I'm guessing thats what your really supposed to do
the gold one is the interpreter
This has been driving me crazy...thanks man
Man doing this first time now. Game was ahead of its time.
This is why Brian is my fav. You are freaking awesome man
That moment when every single one of my interpreters share the language and die
Thanks so much couldn't have done it without your help 👏🏽👏🏽
This whole thing reminds me of The Sorrow's "Boss Battle.". Depending on how many people you killed, it's going to be either quick, or painfully time consuming...
This is similar since the more crew you fulton extract, the tagging is agonizing! If you barely recruit anyone leading up to the outbreak, it'll be much quicker!
In other words, pick your poison.
Wow LOL thank you for confirming what I was thinking. I saw that language all the same and i honestly couldn't think that was the real reason thanks for confirming what I thought.
i had 1,200 staff which took fucking ages to get, but the disease killed all but 23
cactus wow. I guess I'm lucky only losing a couple hundred
This is the reason why maxed everything I can unless exclusive to the level before the disease thing
hated this part of the game lol
Thanks for the informative vid.
one of the people that speaks it cannot be unfaved/moved at all.
Thanks for the vid, just spent an hour putting them in quarantine and now from my 400 people, only about 85 sent in quarantine fml
I am way past this in the game. If I take staff from other's FOB and the new recruits speak Kikongo will I need to quarantine them too (even though I a past this?)?
I'm not at that part yet so thanks so much for making this video
I was wondering what the trick would be, language was not something i considered at first. Thanks for this, i was starting to worry i'd lose half my staff over this.
More than half of my staff speaked Kikongo, this is such a pain in the ass.
Agreed with you all, awful game mechanic that I've just run into. HOURS spent doing Side Ops and gathering troops as we're encouraged to do, only to have dozens wiped out in a tedious scrolling nightmare task.
15 of my men died because of this, could've been a whole lot worse, about 270 of my men spoke it, over 50%. Thx dude.
Thanks worked like a charm
Thanks for this!
Btw guys if you've been to late in doing this there will be a huge outbreak and a bunch of soldiers will die. The quarantine option will disappear then
awesome thanks for the help. took me a while but it worked!
Just a question I'm on mission 33 rn and I don't have the quarantine facility anymore do I need to fire them or something?
Damn this quarantine thing is so fucking excessive and stupid. Without this video I would not be able to continue this game, because the game won't let me continue until i figure this out and it takes forever to put all Kikongo speakers to the quarantine. Thanks for the video.
I don't know how to find right results with right question just in Google, but my question is basically like this; If i have play'd whole game through and i repeat the story mission where mother base infection started, will it start all over again? Somebody please tell me.
When u put 80% of ur staff in quarantine cuz of that language and ur staff still dies ..
Damn what the fuck is hat really what’s gonna happen no matter what?
Might as well not quarantine anyone then lol
i cant be sure but i believe its not just kikongo speaker, it has to be native speaker, thats usually signified by 3 dots and placed as first language
Hell yeah bro came clutch
Thank you had it on gold for awhile decided to play MGS again got stuck on this thank you again 👽👍🏻
I have an issue is that some of the kikongo speakers have a contract lock, meaning I can't move them from their post.
Any suggestions?
+Kinos141 i have that too, just bum rush through the campaign to get the disease cured
Scrotie Wantubsis I did exactly that!!
Thx dude so much your a life saver literally
My one staff who only speaks English and Korean: "I AM THE CHOSEN."
What happens if we just quarantine everybody who don't speak kikongo so that who speaks kikongo stays away from them
Some of my staff that speaks kikongo are on an online dispatch cant quaratine them some of people i captured during a fob speak kikongo but i cant do anything about them for some reason malak knew kikongo he didnt know that language when i first extracted
Question: ehat happens if some kikongo people were on mission. Do I have to quarantine them too when they get back?
After i transfer everybody to quarantine it doesn t let me play cause it says that i need towo sth in the quarantine section ... Please help
I'm replaying the game did this and many are still dying is that normal does this method just reduce the amount of death?
