AS A COMPLEMENTARY RECOMMENDATION: With figures with double joints on the knee, you HAVE to bend first the upper joint, as a Medical Student, I can assure you that how's the body works. To bend the knee the Quadriceps tendon bends first (upper joint) and then the Patellar Ligament (lower joint). That way the figure would look more "natural" 🙌🏻
Great video. The focus on one character and their unique poses is a very interesting approach! You could do a whole series with the likes of Wolverine, Batman, Deadpool, Transformers, Daredevil etc. or even by classes like: spell casting characters, military brutes, martial artists etc
This is really good advice for both beginners and experienced toy photographers alike. It’s important to take your and not rush through it, the whole process comes together when you just relax and let your imagination do most of the work. Great video man👍
Great video. One tip for new (or any) toy owner is that posing can be really difficult if you're coming from the comic world where they can get pretty insane with articulation so don't stress out if the figure has very little articulation. Look for movie and tv screenshots to see realistic scenes and those poses are actually really easy to do with almost all figures! Looking forward to more videos, Jared! 🍻🍻
I would love to see you pose daredevil, predator, alien, Freddy Krueger. Preferably the mezco 1:12. And if u have access the hasbro haslab galactus and/or sentinel.
pose 5 (the blocking stance) is really hard to get most figures into. I think I was only able to get 2 of my figures into that pose, the rise of skywalker rey and the jedi survivor cal kestis. how you did it, with the off hand at the front of the hilt, is a bit easier.
Great video as always 😀 do you have any ideas for toy photography with jurassic park/world? Is it possible to get cool photos with figures that do not have to many points of articulation?
I was just curious? I try using one of those air guns to make a dirt explosion effect but It doesn’t seems to pick up the dirt I have the canon 200D which I assumed could pick up the dirt
Hey! Your camera settings and time of day/light are a big factor on how the dirt is captured in camera. Lots of light and fast shutter speed are best! This video has all the info! Easy Way to Create Practical Debris Effects! th-cam.com/video/1H0yPfJF0kM/w-d-xo.html
Another amazing video, keep up the good work. I have started to get into toy photography but I struggle with getting a muzzle flash, how do you get yours?
I was totally late to buying this figure. Just got him last week. I payed a crazy aftermarket price for him on eBay although he was totally worth it. Just curious. Did you preorder or were you able to get him for regular price somewhere?
Ah man, I’m sure he was way worth it! I was actually able to find him in stock on Ami-Ami around the release date. I’ve just held him in box for a few months waiting to do this video 🤣
@@sirdork730 Nice. I totally regret not preordering him. I was amazed at what a great figure he is. He’s a gem. And great video man. Your stuff always makes me wanna just grab some figures and just pose them around.
