  • A mini documentary about the different faces of Kendo in Japan. The video was shot in various places within Okayama, Japan.
Big shout out to everyone who helped, including the people of Kenshinkan Dojo, Okayama Science University (Thanks Kawashima Sensei!), and the Kibi Youth Kendo Organization (Shout out to Taeko!).

Best greetings from Malaysia! I am a 72 yrs old kendoka, started at the late age of 33 and i passed my 4-dan exam right after the 10WKC in Kyoto in 1997.I appreciate your video and the interviews with the youngsters and the 3 seniors.Lots to learn and will keep on learning, to continuosly improve my understanding and application of kendo, both IN and OUT of the dojo. Thank you for your great efforts.

I've shared this video with our dojo members. Thank you for producing it. Hopefully this video inspires even just one member of our dojo to go to Japan and experience Kokenchiai with Japanese students and see how global the kendo community is.

@Jahan Thakur could be interesting to look into. I feel like ju jutsu and jiu jitsu are not too commonly known here (unlike judo), so i'll try n look around.

My son has been doing kendo since first grade. There’s an opportunity to try other activities after entering junior high school, but he stuck with kendo. We just bought him all new equipment because he’s growing. 😂
