    I am from Ghana and one thing about building in Ghana is you must literally be there during the finishes. That is a major issue there. Paint will be left all over doors, tiling poorly finished and grout all over the tiles. The workers are sometimes still learning and they will improvise especially when it comes to tile cutting. Most people accept it so they don't see anything wrong when you can immediately see the issue. Sorry for the frustration because some of us building there feel the same.

    Sorry for your plight. The state- of- the- art builders are there but very,very expensive. There are five star hotels in Ghana built by Ghana construction companies but are very expensive. Nevertheless there are indivuduals who can build very well, but one may have to do research diligently before starting. Wishing you success.

      You are so right. We found a great company who is doing a wonderful job. When you work with someone who takes pride in their work, it shows.

    You cannot leave your project in the hands of Ghanaians without your supervision. They will mess it up for you. A bricks layer can become a tiler, without
    having a clue about tiling.

    Ghana is absolutely not a place you want to rush a project. But I’m sure the corrections would be fixed shortly. Good luck.

      One would think that builders and artisans would know not to rush any project. What's the motive behind that?

    You can see the frustration on your face and also being tired

      It is very difficult to deal with such matters while living in a different country.

    So you would not recommend using rush to build?

    • @nanaasafu-adjaye4239
      @nanaasafu-adjaye4239 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      So, was that “YES” a Yes, I would recommend OR a No, I would not recommend? LOL
      Seems like clearly there was over-promising &/under-delivering the whole time as to schedule & quality of work. One would have thought to protect brand on this space a close eye would have been paid to detail, but alas … apparently not so. Unfortunate that “local attitude”’ of anything goes was allowed to creep in here.
      And if there was water at the site for construction why was there no running water??? So, any swimming pool on site was not tested before hand over?

      Yes , I’m wondering the same thing? I’ve been following Rush for some time. My husband and I care coming out to Ghana in October. We were thinking about having Akkadian build for us? This is disappointing 😢

    • @kicks851
      @kicks851 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      @isafalaniko3260 mistakes can happen and that im ok with,what im not ok with, is when general contractors just ignore problems or minimize them. Im not saying thats the case, but im just curious to know how
      Did Rush take care of it and what can be done in future to prevent those issues for clients.

      I follow Rush, and his home is a masterpiece. It's sad to see the finishing on your project. I just built a home in Adenta and the finishing is pristine. It far exceeded my expectations. If you're interested, I'll be glad to send you some pictures and put you in touch with the gentleman who built it for me.

    There are a lot of TH-camrs who just build one house that they live in and then they in turn start a construction company with the artisans they used building their home. They will promise you they will deliver but they are just inexperienced. They take the job and move on to other jobs to make more money and are not there quite often. I will say do your research before allowing anyone who claims they can build a house for you as a TH-camr do so.

    Pls take your time to look for competent individuals with pictorial evidence of what they have done previously before giving out any contract, looking at the floor finishing I believe it was done by amateurs
