Dont wait. Get into it. Start trying to get into your local pipefitter union or 798 and start as a welders helper and practice welding whenever you have the time. Much easier to break out as a welder if you are a helper then if you try to just get into the union as a welder straight up.
I’ve had them for 3 years now. A little streaking occasionally, but I think it is just a coating starting to wear off. Could probably recoat them in wipe on rainX
Love the truck bud. Iv been getting into welding the last few years using a Lincoln buzz box stick and wire feed flux and they both have there ups and downs. But what matter is it's fun to do. Love the channel Keep it up guy.
If that is a hairline crack in your front window that's why the wipers dont last long, everytime the wiper blade goes over that tiny crack it takes material off the wipers teflon and wears it down along with putting small burrs on it that make the wiper streak.
Austin You are right about the windshield wipers, I have two trucks one for work and one for personal use and on the one for personal use I bought some expensive wipers and for work I bought the cheap one, and as a matter of fact , the cheap ones lasted a lil bit longer then the expensive ones. So I’m sticking with the cheap ones , God Blessed u brother
A day off is a good thing!!!! Try Bosch wipers, I had a set on my truck for a couple years, still holding up. Keep up the good work , have a safe week!!!!!
You need to lubricate your windshield wipers each fall and spring, to extend their life, it requires rubbing Vaseline onto them in the upright bent position and leaving them their for 30-40 minutes (caked on) then wipe them down and your set for another 6mo 👍🏼 Also you’ll need to clean your battery posts and lubricate them to maintain good connectivity.
Hey I’m a type 1 diabetic and am a welder! It’s what’s going to pay for my life of constant medical supplies once I’m off my parents insurance. Glad I’m not alone!
Just sub'd, you young man are one of the most positive minded people I have ever seen, if I had half of your energy and positivity I would be happy. great job Austin
Thanks for taking the time to post videos would like to see more of on the job videos my younger brother it a under water Welder for a oil company don’t going to give the name of company but he loves it thanks for the videos and god bless
Oh wow, that is very neat. I’ve been putting videos up on my channel of out on the row if you want to go over there and check em out. It’s called Austin Ross.
I’m a subscriber to your channel to enjoy them all I’m a retired truck driver so I have a lot of free time but anyway thanks for the videos be safe and god bless
I run the plain Jane anco wipers here in West Texas all the good ones dry rot about as fast as the cheap ones. Hope the weather straightens out for you up there. The weather man is predicting 70mph wind gust for our area tomorrow!! Oh boy makes me want to jump up and do the boogie dance. Well catch you on your next video. Work hard and be safe.
Got to love those days you can get stuff handled. My pops has diabetes & he's been keeping up good as well & my doc is scared I'll get it as wsll since I'm over weight. I saw you test it & remember the doc telling my pops after he pricks his finger to wipe away the first lil bit of blood & then test the next bit don't know if your doc has told you that. What I heard is coz your blood needs flow a lil for the right number
Type 1 or type 2 diabetes? I have type 1 and just starting getting into welding. Taking classes at my local college and very nervous about being diabetic in the welding industry but it's very awesome to see you doing great and having little issues with diabetes effecting.
Like the videos man. You should make a video to show the process to set up a travel trailer to a spot. I just bought my first ever travel trailer and it would be good and helpful video for some people that never owned a trailer.
1. Clean windshield 2. go over windshield with 000 steel wool. 3. clean windshield 4. rain X windshield and you do not need wipers the water just rolls off..
When it comes to wiper blades i used to run them rain x wipers but they aint no better than the napa ones. They all have to be changed every year. The uv rays from the sun deteriorate them.
C DAWG don’t get attached to them now at only the age 19. Don’t get me wrong tho I loved the past 2 trucks I done had but my next vehicle I’m buying I’ll keep for a while
Awsome video, all windshield wipers are made so cheap ,I've tried several different types have not found good ones yet!!!!,let me know if you find good ones lol !!!
If there’s one thing I can’t stand, it’s price gougin’ on wipers! Ha, I always get the old school metal frames, because the pricey ones like you had always fail pretty quickly. I see lots of rainx in the comments, might have to give them a go.
I’m a journeyman steamfitter out of Buffalo,NY local 22 I have the UA 21 cert 2” pipe double extra heavy 6010 root and 7018 fill and cap 6G so my question is are the pipeliners part of the UA and does that weld test qualify me for pipe line jobs
Bosch wipers. Always Bosch. Haven't changed my wipers in around 14 months (Don't need to, they're working fine still) and I live in the UK, 99/100 days it rains. The crack in your windscreen will _ruin_ wipers very quickly.
In Matthews Louisiana there is a welding supply store, the 81 year old lady retired who made the best welding hats for offshore welders for years, but she taught someone else to continue to make the reversible welding hats. Contact that welding store, chuck the original owner died, he had a welding school in back of store where he tested and certified welders for offshore work for years.. I'm telling you they are the best welding hats ever, never found any better.
15 year mechanic...dont buy the high end wipers, go for the mid range, store brand is just repackaged higher end ones...as in they use the same rubber blade but different structure holding them.
I gave up trying to find good wipers, I have bought good, to great blades, medium priced to expensive, almost never get 2 years, 1 to 1 1/2 year is all I ever get before blades have bad spots, or hard, so I just buy like Rain-X or Blue Coral from Family Dollar for $5 each, yes they squeak sometimes in light rain, & I just turn up the radio, lol as for diabetes, I understand too much, one of my best friends growing up, refused to watch himself, ate what he wanted, & had lots of seizures I saw him go through all the advanced problems, & die at a young age, all because he wanted to "be normal" & ate like everyone else. you take care of yourself, OK?
Hey man, came across your channel, I’m a 34yr diabetic veteran, I work in the mining field. I’m on an insulin pump, been on my pump for 13 yrs, works great and go 15-16 hrs a day. Check it out. Hope all is well and God bless you guys!

God bless your heart psalm 27 brother.... Having god be with you can't find a close by church watch a pastor preach god bless you bro

Eriq Stewart I agree with you that’s all I ever use for sure

Dont wait. Get into it. Start trying to get into your local pipefitter union or 798 and start as a welders helper and practice welding whenever you have the time. Much easier to break out as a welder if you are a helper then if you try to just get into the union as a welder straight up.
Rain x silicone are hands down the best wipers I’ve used had them for almost a year in all conditions and they’re incredible
I’ve had them for 3 years now. A little streaking occasionally, but I think it is just a coating starting to wear off. Could probably recoat them in wipe on rainX

Love the eight o clock coffee, drink a pot a day myself...get yourself a grinder and try the whole bean...fresh ground is to die for 👌🏻
My grandmother bought eight o'clock coffee at the A&P and you could grind it in the store and I loved helping her grind it up
That expression at the beginning was funny. That's the look on my face most days here in Seattle.
A hair cut and a oil change is like being a new man!
I can listen to him say "oil" all day.
You’re a good guy, keep up the good work!
Start using rainx repellent its a window cleaner and it helps bead the water off the windshield
Love the truck bud. Iv been getting into welding the last few years using a Lincoln buzz box stick and wire feed flux and they both have there ups and downs. But what matter is it's fun to do. Love the channel Keep it up guy.

Yep Bosch blades. I’ve hade a set on my truck for 3yrs or better. Just now starting to wear out

Hey I’m a type 1 diabetic and am a welder! It’s what’s going to pay for my life of constant medical supplies once I’m off my parents insurance. Glad I’m not alone!

Hey Austin, I would recommend Bosch icon wiper blades. They survive the winters here in Alberta quite well.
Bosch wipers. Always Bosch. Haven't changed my wipers in around 14 months (Don't need to, they're working fine still) and I live in the UK, 99/100 days it rains.
The crack in your windscreen will _ruin_ wipers very quickly.

Who makes the best welding cap/hats?
In Matthews Louisiana there is a welding supply store, the 81 year old lady retired who made the best welding hats for offshore welders for years, but she taught someone else to continue to make the reversible welding hats. Contact that welding store, chuck the original owner died, he had a welding school in back of store where he tested and certified welders for offshore work for years.. I'm telling you they are the best welding hats ever, never found any better.

15 year mechanic...dont buy the high end wipers, go for the mid range, store brand is just repackaged higher end ones...as in they use the same rubber blade but different structure holding them.
Try adding more beans and wild meats like venison instead of beef Austin, it worked wonders for my uncle: take care
When do you plan on having more leather patch hats in stock?
They will be in stock next week!
I've had good service out of those Bosch icon on my 2016 Chevy 2500, I usually get 6-9 mths.
