Caitlyn has been sheltered for almost her entire life and only saw the world through the biased lenses of her privileged Piltover life. She was clueless about how the real world works until she met Vi, who opened her eyes to reality. Vi has been in prison for almost 10 years and during those years, she never felt any form of love or affection inside a prison cell. She never trusted anyone for so long until she met Caitlyn. Despite their rocky start, Vi began to trust Caitlyn overtime. The way Caitlyn cared for Vi when she was at her weakest and most vulnerable made Vi feel genuinely cared for and loved for the first time in many years. They bring out the best in each other and Riot needs to confirm their relationship like they did with Leona and Diana 😂 🏳️🌈 (Though I doubt they would show it on screen since homosexual romance is banned in many countries but it would be nice to maybe get a short novel of it)
Well said. Leona and Diana's story were blocked in countries that don't support LGBT, I don't know how they're gonna block scenes or twist it for them so they don't get offended as much but still, these two make a great couple.

When Cait says "what about us" I don't think she's talking about them as a couple (there are some spoilers in my answer so don't read if u don't wanna be spoiled) : For the context, just before this scene they were talking to the councilors about fighting against silco. But of course, because Vi is from the underground all the councilors despise her. Vi gets mad and loses all hope that the people from the underground and the people from the upper city could ever get along and help eachother to fight against silco. That's why when Cait says "what about us", I think she talks more about "look at us being like oil and water yet still appreciating eachother and working together" than "what about us" as a couple :) But that's only my opinion, Riot make it kinda hard for us to understand. I still think it has a double meaning tho :D
