It's a competition for professional singers. Same competition that introduced Dimash to the world. 7 singers each week/round and bottom vote getter is eliminated and then a new competitor is brought in. 12 shows total. Scores are not cumulative between rounds so the goal is just to keep avoiding elimination until the final round. This song is from Round 3 and she won. The other two songs she sang were Crazy (week 1, came second) and Set Fire to the Rain, which she won. Adam Lambert was in a separate challenge that did not affect the competition rankings, so in effect, he was a guest performer. The only other singer you might know is Chante Moore from the US,. who came first in Round 1 and 3rd the last two rounds. The rest are Chinese performers. Round 4 will be tomorrow. The man in the blue shirt - you asked who he was - is Faouzia's translator/assistant. The guy w ith his head in his hands was indeed another competitor. He came in second. FWIW, Arabic is her first language. Even though she has lived in Canada since a year old, her parents spoke Arabic in the home.

Moroccan Arabic to be exact. Standard Arabic is a pure literary and official language, which no one speaks at home or on the street.

The Arabic part says ( This has been a long time and I have been searching for my deer( deer is his beloved 👸) ya lail ya lail means oh night oh night but it’s not for it’s meaning it’s a known yodel used used in Arabic music
