The importance and significance of this historical Fort is undermined. Just imagine how much effort, engineering and the financial resources would have taken to construct this magnificent and humongous Fort in the middle the Sea in those times?
I visited there a year ago...What a spectacular view of roaring sea from top windows of the fort.... amazing boat travel to the fort.... furious canons.... all just marvellous. ...!! Thanks a lot for the video...!!
Excellent video. Beautiful photography and relevant information. I read somewhere that, Mallik Ambar ( vazir of Nizamshah , Ahmednagar) took the fort from Kolis and built the fort here.
I appreciate your efforts you covered entire fort and info in this thanks for that. Just a small suggestion whenever you mention the names of The Great Kings whose contributions are vital not just in the history of Maharashtra but whole India like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and his son Sambhaji Maharaj kindly mention the title ‘Maharaj’ for their bravery and sacrifices.
Magnificent fort:-) Detailed information about every fort or treks you provide in your videos is commendable.. I Love to watch your videos :-) keep going

@@GautamKhetwal if it was in any other country they would have promoted this as world wonder, .. in my knowledge i found that it had capcity of 4000-5000 people, and 4 masjids, stores for storing food grains and war equipments , under ground tunnel to reach land in case of emergency..
Dear gautam, contrary to what some say, I feel a video with good production values like yours does not require any commentary...I have subscribed your channel and recommended it to my friends...keep up the good work
It was Malik Ambar Malik Ambar is credited with the construction of the Janjira Fort in the Murud Area of present day Maharashtra India. After its construction in 1567 AD, the fort was key to the Sidis withstanding various invasion attempts by the Marathas, Mughals, and Portuguese to capture Janjira
the island was actually a hillock which was teared down and the stone was used to build the fort itself plus the sea water level was a bit low which has increased now due to warming too

Nice but just one correction there is no such underground exit from janjira to Rajapuri the guide tells this story but it is fake . There were not such good facility to build such underground tunnel in sea at that time even built what will be the oxygen source for the person going through it.
i wanted to explore that point of underground route, he was pointing out the steps but everything was going too fast, 45 mins is way too less to explore everything, i guess i have to make one more visit again later
Gautam Khetwal dear frnd such structure at that time is not possible. look at some big forts or any other forts the local present there tell such stories but such structure to be build at that time is not possible. There were not such equipment to build such thing underground if there would have been Shivaji Maharaj would have used it or any other historical data would have recorded about it. Even Raigad Rajgad doesn't have such underground escape from fort but locals over there tell this story. Anyways.......

Who built this fort? British government?? Or kings?
the kings, British did not built any forts as their motive was to plunder. They built buildings in city, estates in jungles and rails :)
