My only critique is that the title of the video implies that there is a trick to specifically address how to nail contrast, when in fact the trick is to compare grade versions. While that can certainly be helpful for dialing in the contrast, it's not an objective measure to "nail contrast".

somewhere I read or saw a tutorial that the best way to adjust the exposure and contrast is with the image in black and white. What's more, there are colorization monitors with the black and white function for these purposes. And that's how I do it ever since with excellent results.

No trick will help with this, professionals do it all the time. Your eyes begin to play tricks on you after staring at the same image for awhile, so it’s smart to take a break and come back to it before finalizing any adjustments.
I've been using gallery stills to monitor progression since you can just mouse over the stills to see the changes but the version method does seem better. I'll have to try it out. Is there a way to batch render clips of multiple versions such as for different deliverables? (Rec 709 + Rec 2020 for example) Thanks.
How do you add a color version from one clip to a separate clip? So I have 2 different clips with different color versions. If I want to save the versions on both clips that are different, when I select one of the clips and then right click on the other clip and choose Apply Grade, I can see from the wave form of the 2 clips that the version 3 from the first clip did not transfer to the second clip. It still says version 2. Can you transfer one version from a clip to a different clip that also has different versions?

Generally I know what they does, but when I start to color grade, I can't choose right version of my graiding, all the time it seems I do something wrong. For example, when I lift shadows, the image looks not contrasty, when I down lifts, looks videoish, can't understand why we need to down gamma sometimes, because when I do that, I get very unbalanced image.

I couldn't find the name of the keyboard shortcut for "Create New Version", it's actually filed as "Add" and on a mac it's Command+Y by default
