Corrie was a very special character, boxing was a hobby for her, she was never an idealist, she would not train regularly, if she devoted herself to boxing, she would be one of the top three names.
Sanders was an inconsistent fighter but still my favorite in that era. If he had dedicated himself to training and grown more endurance he would have been at the top of the heap for a long time. He also could have benefited from a good American trainer like Emanuel Steward that would have brought his career along more carefully. His natural hand speed and power was his strength and he had size as well as a good chin. And for what it is worth, my wife thought he was handsome.
Nobody wanted to fight the Sniper when he was young because he was left-handed and he could punch. Would have been interesting to see what he would have done against Tyson because you know Tyson's not going to move away from him either he'd be right in front of him.

I kinda think in this fight Cooper just showed up to collect some money.he could of done better in this fight... his weight was way up.he came in at 242...he was 215 against holyfield....I think Cooper was like"ok I fought a few rounds I can get paid now"...cooper had a problem with over eating,drugs and an unwillingness to train.....he had talent he just didn't do no where near as much as he could of with it

He was only fighting something like once a year by the time he lost to Hasim and the rumours were that he was doing a lot of golfing and was thinking of becoming a pro.
