Hi Graham, I totally agree it’s a complete faff to use the onboard tank, and I have used ours on several occasions in our Bailey Cartagena, but, I think it’s primarily intended to be used in winter when the prospect of your external aqua roll water could freeze, so having the onboard tank would ensure you have a supply of water in freezing conditions. Cheers Martyn
Hi I've got a unicorn Barcelona and do use the internal tank. All I can say the more you use it the easier it becomes. It's my fifth van and I really like it. I do find the front seats a firm though. Off to west Wales tomorrow. Keep up the good work.
Hi Graham. I did away with the aquaroll altogether. The Whale Watermaster (or equivalent) connects the mains water directly to the van via the socket you'd plug your outside pump into. This keeps the internal tank full when connected and saves you faffing about with valves. Depending on payload etc you can always keep some water in the tank when travelling or you can empty it. Not having to carry an aquaroll also saves a bit of space and weight. As i'm using my van as a home/office at the moment, mine has been connected since March so on demand water and NO issues. Lost Weekends did a good vlog on the Watermaster, well worth a look.
You can get a fully automatic system with manual override, that uses electronic valves and no need to open lockers, it will also give you a tank level for internal tank. This is called Water Wizzard
@ aqujrolls and a ballcock if you are on a serviced site. You have answered the question I asked earlier today about onboard tanks. Thanks. BTW nice to hear your accent, it remind me of home.
Our recent getaway had us at a non serviced pitch, preceding three times fully serviced. The single Aquaroll keep fit experience motivated the purchase of an eBay special Aquaroll (preowned). That internal tank switchover looks a real faff. Whoever designed it needs to spend two weeks using it... Pete & Kaz.
Wow graham , that seems an awful lot of bother to me , just get another aqua roll job done 🤔, by the way watched the video on changing the jockey wheel , brilliant found it very useful , ordered the soiled rubber one which was the one you found best . Thanks Martin
We have the same issue but compounded by the fact that the tank is under the bed with the drain valve. I’m looking now at remote operated valves and a remote level sensor for the tank.
Seems quite a faff! Also can you get that end part of the seat up to access the internals of the tank itself? Our internal tank seems to get quite scummy (just feels a bit slimy - ewww) inside so I like to give it a good clean out once in a while.
Hi Graham, I have fitted a water level gauge and a solenoid operated by a switch, makes the whole thing much easier, can send you some photos and a wiring diagram if you want it, total cost was around £100 but means we can use the tank all the time with ease.
good video as always. I've got a whale watermaster running straight from the serviced pitch tap to the bailey segovia at the moment, bypassing the aquaroll, but the water pressure isn't great. was thinking about trying the internal tank for better pressure (via internal pump). let me know what the pressure was like
Thanks for watching. Pressure was good. Had a weird thing when using hot water the internal pump would switch off and on whilst pumping water. Was ok on cold water though. Graham
Hi. We'd bought quite a large one and we found it difficult to park when having days out. Especially if we wanted to visit a smaller village. We really missed not having a car. I love motorhomes, I just don't think I ever really worked out how to use them. Graham
Same as me , I had a Motorhome last year , had it new 2019 . This year order a caravan at the nec in February, still not had delivery of it yet 😕 not tow before when I saw your video on your caravan pick up in German,l though i gibe it a go 😁thanks👍🏻
In theory I prefer a motorhome, they look nicer. But practically speaking Caravan is better for us. I might go back to a smaller motorhome in a few years 🤷♂️
Using your own facilities Graham? Just as I predicted in my video last month that lots of touring folk will be using their own onboard facilities. Yes, looks bit fiddly turning those valves everytime. Stay alert. Cheers. Rob
Hi Graham our Delta has an onboard tank also but you only have to switch on s pump on the control panel and fill out up that way then switch back to normal pump the refill the aqua roll then 80 litres of water. It will use the onboard tank first then the external one till empty all automatic no fiddling with switches or valves terrible is with three girl's no amount of water from any tanks can keep up with that and of course the waste master has to be emptied quicker than they can use the water.
What a faff! Like you say, should be a better way than this for on board tanks. I think i'll stick with fully serviced pitches and constant supply of water in to the Aqua Roll!
What a faff, ours automatically shuts off when the onboard tank is full, is just one switch by the entrance door, no valves to mess around with and it automatically switches over to the aquaroll once the onboard tank is empty, much more user friendly
Having sold a 14 year old ELDDIS to buy a Bailey, I was pretty unimpressed by this water system that Elddis had sorted nearly 2 decades before, and it had worked faultlessly until it was sold. about £20 on E-Bay buys a solenoid valve which, with a bit of wiring allows the inboard tank to fill at the flick of a switch, without unmaking the bed (handy). of course, now the internal pump has failed, I'm really loving the build quality of this brand new Bailey, not!
Surly they could have made that automatic, seems a lot of messing to use it. We have a removable extra water tank on out S1 Unicorn, took it out the day we got the van! I’m sure you will be able to modify it to do it all auto 🤔 Cheers Martin
Thanks for watching Martin. Yeah it's not removable, I think I'd rather have 2 Aquarolls. Not sure I'll use it a lot. In fact it's the first time I've used it in over 2 years that we've had the U4. It's obviously an afterthought, almost to justify the extra cost of the twin axle. Graham

Thanks for watching. Yes good point about winter use, I’d forgotten that. Graham

Thanks for watching. Good point I think I’ll keep using it. It was handy. Enjoy Wales 👍🏻 Graham
I thought our onboard tank full was complicated. 😂 watching your set up makes mine look like a breeze.
Nice video your easy to listen too. Enjoyed the vlog.
Love the fear in your eys at 4:57😅
Thanks for watching. Yes I thought I’d been busted 😲😂Mandy was in the bathroom. I’m a coward at heart 😫😂
Good video Graham. Wish we had a internal water tank. we'll have to go full service pitch on next outing. Cheer Paul and Sarah

It's not only me who forgets to flick the drain switch then? 😄 Kev
Thanks for watching Kev. Yep, drained almost half the Aquaroll before noticing :-) Graham
@@CaravanVlogger Me too! In fairness, it was our first time in the new to us caravan. Our previous one had a plug on the outside :-)

Cliff Eves thanks for watching. Great idea I’m not great with electrics I have to say. Graham
Hmmm, think I’d rather just have two Aquarolls to mess about with, seems a lot less faffing... 🤷🏼♂️ 🤪

Hi Martin,
I have to agree with HitchUpAndTow. I would definitely prefer to go on a fully serviced pitch, instead of using an internal tank. 👍👍
Good video, seems like a bit of mucking around! How long do you find that 50l Aqua Roll lasts you? We seem to go through water so fast 😩
Thanks for watching. Yes filled up every other day using the shower in the caravan. It did help having the internal tank. Graham
Hi why did you change from a Motorhome to a caravan.
Hi. We'd bought quite a large one and we found it difficult to park when having days out. Especially if we wanted to visit a smaller village. We really missed not having a car. I love motorhomes, I just don't think I ever really worked out how to use them. Graham

Hi Graham. I did the same thing forgot to close the valve. Seems like a lot of faffing about Graham! Cheers Phil🙂👍
Just one question, Why? Forget the internal tank and go fully serviced LOL
Thanks for watching. Fully serviced? Do you think I’m made of money 🙄😂 Graham
What a faff, ours automatically shuts off when the onboard tank is full, is just one switch by the entrance door, no valves to mess around with and it automatically switches over to the aquaroll once the onboard tank is empty, much more user friendly
I had a Bailey senator in 2000, the system on that was way easier than all that messing.
Thanks for watching. Seems to have been added as an afterthought 🤔
Having sold a 14 year old ELDDIS to buy a Bailey, I was pretty unimpressed by this water system that Elddis had sorted nearly 2 decades before, and it had worked faultlessly until it was sold.

You have to wash everyday?! Nah that doesn’t sound right 🤔😝
So u say there is 2 things to do well i think 1 forget using the internal tank 2 use the manual to light the bbq 😂
😂😂😂
