Way too stiff. Back to the studio for more practice. Work on the feels. Not easy to get the Sonny Boy groove.
What are you talking about? The have a good groove going.
@@jwh475ezc a groove? Not even close. A groove is when everyone hits the pocket together and the sum is more than the parts. This sounds like a jazz version at a funeral. Weak, no punch, dragging a bit.
@@jjryan1352 It's a blues shuffle, there is nothing jazzy about it. Maybe not a spectacular piece but decent, certainly not deserving of harsh criticism.
@@jwh475ezc it has a jazz lite feel, we all know what a shuffle is. Yes it's decent and is a serviceable performance. My criticism is it didn't get that Sonny Boy feel, if you are familiar with the original. Even among pro harmonica players it's hard to get his timing and expression. You can see the musicians are just going through the motions. Ask any live musicians what they think of this.

A performance as mediocre as that band that plays it, the harmonica player is mediocre and makes a lot of mistakes
