J Clark yes! I’m Native, so I look at the Asian and Olive colored models to kind of see where I fit in. I absolutely looooove how these colors look on the deepest skintones. Stunning beauty! And also artistically fun to see how one shade can compliment so many variations and take on different characteristics. Impressive line and conscientious creator. :)
I'm white and pale (half polish, half french)-I must say seeing more than only a white person helps me a lot. It tells more about the shade, the opacity, pigments (deeper skintones tent to have more pigmented lips for ex so you can better judge the product pigmentation) etc
I am in a very small subset of the population that has an allergy to vitamin E (lips become inflamed and horrible). 99% of lip products have E (aka tocopherol) so my life was quite sad, only being able to wear a balm from Zi Zai made special for us unfortunate folks. Your Velvets (no E) brought joy back into my life. Thank you Lisa!!

I was thinking you should do a video that covers some of your knowledge of color. I’ve never seen a MUA that understands color the way you do. I have seen people age in reverse with the right colors. It’s fascinating.
I love how you smile when you talk about your creations and colors. You can tell getting it right is important but also brings you joy like a true artist. I've never seen anyone who understands color and makeup the way you do. There is so much thought and passion within you. Its beautiful.

Sarah van den Burg I hear you. I was deciding between the Muse and Blush lip kits. I have Muse, Fawn, Decade, and Jazz but Muse is my favourite plus I didn’t want to miss out on the lip liner. I figured that it’s the one I’ll get the most wear out of these mask times. Blush is on my wishlist though- one day!

Oh!!! My true velvet lipstick in the shade BLUSH arrived yesterday. I am in love, over the moon, swooning. Ordered it as my birthday gift to myself. Agonized over which shade. It is perfect. My lips but a tad deeper. The formula is creamy, but not sloppy; pigmented, but not dry. Now I want them all! Brilliant like their creator! 😍🥰😍

Watching this back two years later, I feel musty eyed thinking about how much these lipsticks helped me through that time. You truly brought an explosion of color to a very dark time.

Lisa, I’m completely obsessed with color. I wish I could have a conversation just on color with you. You should do a video on your thoughts and knowledge of color. I’ve never seen a MUA that understands color the way you do. I’ve studied color analysis for years and I wish more people knew the power of color! I’ve seen people look 15 years younger with the right colors.
Agreed! There’s all this stuff about undertones and colour but so much is intuitive or so subtle that the rules don’t always work but Lisa seems to know those complexities so well.

I can definitely confirm that these lipstick don't budge! I've been wearing them under the mask for months now and I love them! Also, I wanted to say that Muse is the ideal nude colour for my olive skin with neutral undertones that doesn't make me look dead!
@@rdpcl I haven't tried Fawn, I was afraid it might be too light/beige but having tried many of the shades now, I think they are very versatile. Also, Velvet Beauty is a good pink for my skin tone (pinks and my olive skin don't always go well together!)

I bought two of the lipsticks last launch, and if you’re on the fence about buying, just do it. I have perpetually Sahara desert dry lips and generally can’t wear mattes, but the lipsticks are so emollient that it really disguises my lip texture and feels amazing. I wore velvet jazz for an entire night at an event, drinking wine and all and my coworker asked if I had touched up my color because it had held up so well.
I’m so excited for the Blush color! It’s an effect I’ve been trying to replicate as well - that soft flush in paintings is just lovely. Your lipsticks have also pushed me to explore outside of my beloved neutrals and embrace the more pink and bold side of the color spectrum!
At the beginning I was supposed to just buy Velvet Beauty, and now I'm like " oh Velvet Blush my God ! And Myth and Carnival and maybe Muse, and the lip kits are so beautiful" ... I didn’t have enough money in my budget when these launched the first time, and most of what I wanted was sold out by the time I found out last year, but this year I finally bought all the shades I love! Can’t wait! I really like all the thought that went into the design of these colors, and the complexity of the undertones. And I can’t wait to try the pencils and glosses. I do hope the pencil range expands to include matching options for each color.
I missed your collection last year before everything sold out. I managed to snag a couple of shades this year, and I am so pleased I did. The packaging was so lovely and diligent, the floral bag is just gorgeous! The lipsticks though. I have never felt a formula like this, ever, and I have tried so many. It doesn't drag, doesn't dry my lips out, and the shades were masterfully formulated. I couldn't wait to try Velvet Fawn, despite it being the end of day. I expected my lips to be quite dried out from my earlier lipsticks, so I was prepared to lower my expectations. I was so incredibly wrong. It brought my lips back to life! The feel of it when I press my lips together is plush, soft. This has become the only lipstick I will ever need. I suppose I'll have to snag some more before they're gone for the year! Aging myself but how I wish I had had Velvet Carnival in the 80s!!!!! I know you said it was inspired by Warhol pop art, but I had my first apartment decorated with Patrick Nagel art (which imo was Warhol inspired also) and my colors of my entire apartment were that fuchsia, black and white! MANY cosmetic companies tried to produce that lipstick color and failed! Lisa, you NAILED it!!!!!!!! My party girl days are far behind me and at 56, that color might not be such a great look on me, but it is going in my collection for the pure joy of nostalgia (and to kiss my love notes to my hubby who will appreciate that it SO would have been my signature color had it been available then!!!! This alone would have made my year but the GLOSSES!!!!!!!!!! I am chronically dry lipped and you just saved my lips this winter! You are a genius!!! Oh and Velvet Dragon is freaking amazing! Never seen that color in makeup before and I am intrigued! Obviously you have my entire monthly budget (after bills, I am 56 and responsible now 😂) and I couldn’t be happier to spend it! I can't wait to get my order. Even though I'm not a big red wearer I am especially intrigued about Velvet Dragon - it's like a red-orange-muted-beige colour. Very complex and interesting! I think it will be one of the shades that looks quite different depending on what skin tone is wearing it.
When I saw Golightly, I obviously thought of Audrey (hence my spelling). Since I am a huge Audrey lover and collector like you, it made me smile (and I'm ordering it)
I never buy anything that goes a bit orangy or too warm (no matter if they are nudes) because they always seem to look extremely orange and unflattering on me. I came only for a single lipstick for a gift (I bought almost all last year collection already) and just bouthg three rather warm shades, two of them with orange with them (for me). My bank account is not empty just because the lip pencils were not sold by themselves!
It happened to me last time - I only ordered some shades I thought I loved the most. And then a few days after, I had to go in and buy the rest of the new shades anyway, I just couldn't sleep. :) I just had to have them. And I am using all of them too. Of course, some of them more often than the others (Velvet Jazz is so omg, or Muse for just everyday), but I do use each and every one of them every now and then and all of them are gorgeous. I am also so happy that I didn't hesitate buying the Go Lightly while it was still available. I feel like anything Lisa puts out is like a collector item for me too. So I feel a tiny bit like Lisa. :) I am just a bit worried, if Lisa starts to put out all the things people have been asking for (nail polish, blushes and what not), I am going to go broke this way! :D

Lisa please, would you consider creating more warm shades? Pink is not flattering on every skin tone (expecially on mine), I own Velvet Fawn but it's slightly too light for me and Velvet Affair sold out so quickly... I would love love love some peachy tones from your brand!

I've coveted these lipsticks for over a year and a half; both previous times the collections have sold out too quickly, and I was also intimidated by the price (I don't own much high-end/luxury makeup), but this time...this time I finally pulled the trigger. These aren't just makeup, they're something very special, a once-in-a-lifetime experience. So much thought has gone into these beautiful colors. I'll cherish these little treasures so much.

Apart from the amazing quality of these products, which we've all seen by now, I'd like to say that the service is impeccable as well! The shipping and the support team are all amazing! Oh!!! My true velvet lipstick in the shade BLUSH arrived yesterday. I am in love, over the moon, swooning. Ordered it as my birthday gift to myself. Agonized over which shade. It is perfect. My lips but a tad deeper. The formula is creamy, but not sloppy; pigmented, but not dry. Now I want them all! Brilliant like their creator! 😍🥰😍

@@Nausithoe88 there’s no reason to make bitter comments about someone’s new release. What should she do? Keep the stock in the warehouse until they expire and she can’t sell them anymore? She’s releasing again older shades as well, so she’ll probably do the same thing in the future.

I can definitely confirm that these lipstick don't budge! I've been wearing them under the mask for months now and I love them! Also, I wanted to say that Muse is the ideal nude colour for my olive skin with neutral undertones that doesn't make me look dead!

@@rdpcl I haven't tried Fawn, I was afraid it might be too light/beige but having tried many of the shades now, I think they are very versatile. Also, Velvet Beauty is a good pink for my skin tone (pinks and my olive skin don't always go well together!)

I bought two of the lipsticks last launch, and if you’re on the fence about buying, just do it. I have perpetually Sahara desert dry lips and generally can’t wear mattes, but the lipsticks are so emollient that it really disguises my lip texture and feels amazing. I wore velvet jazz for an entire night at an event, drinking wine and all and my coworker asked if I had touched up my color because it had held up so well.
Jazz is so stunning. I hardly wear it in full vava voom mode but as it’s such an outstanding lip stain. Lasting power is unreal but never goes dry.
Yeah, I wear Jazz now in the autumn - especially when it is murky outside - just 2 layers of dabbing. Fairly enough. And lovely!
I’m so excited for the Blush color! It’s an effect I’ve been trying to replicate as well - that soft flush in paintings is just lovely. Your lipsticks have also pushed me to explore outside of my beloved neutrals and embrace the more pink and bold side of the color spectrum!

I didn’t have enough money in my budget when these launched the first time, and most of what I wanted was sold out by the time I found out last year, but this year I finally bought all the shades I love! Can’t wait! I really like all the thought that went into the design of these colors, and the complexity of the undertones. And I can’t wait to try the pencils and glosses. I do hope the pencil range expands to include matching options for each color.
I missed your collection last year before everything sold out. I managed to snag a couple of shades this year, and I am so pleased I did. The packaging was so lovely and diligent, the floral bag is just gorgeous! The lipsticks though. I have never felt a formula like this, ever, and I have tried so many. It doesn't drag, doesn't dry my lips out, and the shades were masterfully formulated. I couldn't wait to try Velvet Fawn, despite it being the end of day. I expected my lips to be quite dried out from my earlier lipsticks, so I was prepared to lower my expectations. I was so incredibly wrong. It brought my lips back to life! The feel of it when I press my lips together is plush, soft. This has become the only lipstick I will ever need. I suppose I'll have to snag some more before they're gone for the year!

Aging myself but how I wish I had had Velvet Carnival in the 80s!!!!! I know you said it was inspired by Warhol pop art, but I had my first apartment decorated with Patrick Nagel art (which imo was Warhol inspired also) and my colors of my entire apartment were that fuchsia, black and white! MANY cosmetic companies tried to produce that lipstick color and failed! Lisa, you NAILED it!!!!!!!! My party girl days are far behind me and at 56, that color might not be such a great look on me, but it is going in my collection for the pure joy of nostalgia (and to kiss my love notes to my hubby who will appreciate that it SO would have been my signature color had it been available then!!!! This alone would have made my year but the GLOSSES!!!!!!!!!! I am chronically dry lipped and you just saved my lips this winter! You are a genius!!! Oh and Velvet Dragon is freaking amazing! Never seen that color in makeup before and I am intrigued! Obviously you have my entire monthly budget (after bills, I am 56 and responsible now 😂) and I couldn’t be happier to spend it!

I never buy anything that goes a bit orangy or too warm (no matter if they are nudes) because they always seem to look extremely orange and unflattering on me. I came only for a single lipstick for a gift (I bought almost all last year collection already) and just bouthg three rather warm shades, two of them with orange with them (for me). My bank account is not empty just because the lip pencils were not sold by themselves!
It happened to me last time - I only ordered some shades I thought I loved the most. And then a few days after, I had to go in and buy the rest of the new shades anyway, I just couldn't sleep. :) I just had to have them. And I am using all of them too. Of course, some of them more often than the others (Velvet Jazz is so omg, or Muse for just everyday), but I do use each and every one of them every now and then and all of them are gorgeous. I am also so happy that I didn't hesitate buying the Go Lightly while it was still available. I feel like anything Lisa puts out is like a collector item for me too. So I feel a tiny bit like Lisa. :)
I am just a bit worried, if Lisa starts to put out all the things people have been asking for (nail polish, blushes and what not), I am going to go broke this way! :D

Lisa please, would you consider creating more warm shades? Pink is not flattering on every skin tone (expecially on mine), I own Velvet Fawn but it's slightly too light for me and Velvet Affair sold out so quickly... I would love love love some peachy tones from your brand!

(Though honestly, you could probably be selling screwdrivers and I'd buy them 🤷♀️)
Apart from the amazing quality of these products, which we've all seen by now, I'd like to say that the service is impeccable as well! The shipping and the support team are all amazing!
Firstly, the support team helped me fix a mistake I made in my order and then, I received my package the next day even though I live outside the UK! Talk about record time! I also like the little sign of the person that packed the order; it's such a nice little touch!
