After fleeing Estonia during WW11, my family went to Germany and were in a Misplaced Camp. I never could understand WHY Germany as this was still wartime. But my family said the German people were very nice to them. My mom later met an American GI still stationed in Germany and that is how she came to America. My daughter-in-law in from Germany and my ex-inlaws were of German ancestory.
