ES paper is more beneficial as compare to GE paper. If u get rank around 200 then u will get IIT kanpur through ES paper but through GE u have to get rank below 100 so better to choose ES paper

Make sure you prepare for your primary paper well completing the full syllabus. You plan for your primary paper subjects, and insert secondary paper subjects when you are bored studying for the primary paper.

Yes, for example they allow this eligibility in IIT-B. Similarly you can check for all other institutes.
