With collision on I believe it only affects the person hitting the ball so you hit yourself out of bounds for example if your friends ball stops short of the hole and he waits for you to hit his ball in the hole his ball will stay in the same place but your ball will bounce of it. I base that off of the 2 video's you played with collision on
