I will say this. Lifesteal still activates even when your unit is on full HP. So giving them a damage shield(If they're full HP) or multistrike is counter-intuitive.
@@WaterCat5 That depends, it is only a downgrade if you have additional sources of damage on the floor such as other units or thorns. If you do not have those things you aren't changing anything. It just hits twice and wastes a lifesteal instead of trading the the boss and full healing an additional time, there is no difference in that case.
What a great run. This is why I love the Umbra's emberdrain themed cards. Who needs to play cards when you can make an unkillable slaughtering incarnate of darkness.
i pogged out so hard last run with onehorns tome. got double stacked for multistrike 2, and the purchase the removes consume in exchange for +1 cost. what made it work was the artifact that rerolls every cost on card draws between 0-3. duped it 3 times. by the end of the run, my prince had a stupid amount of rage, almost 300 armor because of +armor on slay, and like x20 hit per attack phase. it was truly nutty
Lifesteal gets consumed per hit of multistrike btw so having multistrike 2 on the crucible collector would actually make it do less damage vs relentless bosses due to the healing being wasted. Much better to apply multistrike on non-lifesteal units if you have the option.
Multistrike also doubles the unit's damage output, so it wouldn't deal less damage it would just deal the same amount in a shorter time. The second you add any other damage source (or quick), it's just strictly worse i.e. spikes, another unit, etc.
