I just want to say great video, great explanation and detail! thank you for not being dogmatic in views of scripture that aren't 100% one way or the other but just putting out the certain facts and separating the probable things. Also I'm glad you pronounced Michal correctly and not "Michael" like most people do for some reason. My wife's name is Michal and we always have to tell people how to pronounce it especially since they seem shocked when a woman goes to pick something up after they called for "Michael" haha. Anyway thanks for the content and sharing your knowledge!

The simple truth here is that he was not sufficiently covereth enough to the point that it shamed his wife. How many wives will like their husband appearing partially clothed in public - especially if he is the president of United States or the PM of UK.

Isn't there a famous statue of David naked. It is sometimes covered ( the genital area) I think he was naked. It was probably acceptable back then. Think about it. There are several statues of naked men.

You must be referring to Michaelangelo's David, but you must keep in mind the artist didn't strictly adhere to any description of King David in the Bible. Rather he depicted him in the classical Greek fashion, that is, nude! Greeks had no moral taboos when it came to human body, which is why they excercised naked as can be inferred from their term for an athlete ie "a gymnast" meaning "nude". The Renaissance artists like Michelangelo held the art of the Antiquity in high regard and emulated it.
