Excellent advice, Karen. I, too, am of a "certain age" (72) and I still get my yearly mammograms and Paps. And as I have since the beginning of our wonderful "female" journey, I still hate getting them done. But it's just not sensible NOT to do it. One of my besties and I now make our appts together and then treat ourselves to a lovely lunch afterwards. It really helps to make the day end with a smile. I'm wishing you ALL the very best for positive results and fast healing from your surgery. Take good care. Steph from NJ.
Praying for you Karen. Believing with you that there is no cancer etc. precautionary surgery is all. I watched your first episodes and have followed along the way. You are an amazing stitcher and I have learned much from you. Looking forward to more from you. I’m a 66 yr old in Florida.
It was wonderful seeing you today Karen. All my prayers are with you. Have a wonderful holiday with your family and try and enjoy yourself with your grandchildren.
Your daughter's shall is really lovely. And your stitching is as always, amazing. Right now is a hard time for you. But know that you have so many people praying for you. I am one of them. God Bless you. We care about you and we all want you well and happy again really soon.
Hi Karen! So good to see you! I enjoy seeing your projects. The shawl is very pretty. I'm feeling positive too, Karen. I was shocked when my dr told me that it is now every other year. I'm going every year too. I hope you will have a "stitch with me" before surgery. You know we all love you and pray for you. Take care, my friend ♡

Amazing pieces you are working on! Question, as a nurse, how long does it really take to recover from the anesthesia? Merry Christmas!
Good question! Everyone is different. Usually takes me about a week or so. But then you gotta factor in the pain meds which also effectthings
