I am from Arkansas, grew up in the Detroit area, and am now 81 years old. I listened to the 57' championship on the radio. I have definitely lived through a ton of bad times and some good times. My Lions were always at hand, via a huge satellite dish in my backyard and today's IPTV with a zillion channels. Tonight on the big screen, it will be a family affair with the Wife, Daughter, and grandkids all in the house watching the Lions start their journey. Which should have been last season, had it not been for some ego choices on offense. Shout out to your fine show, which I watch daily, and the folks in Michigan who have long suffered with me. Go Lions!!!
I think most fanbases get nervous. It is just the nature of the beast. We are in a different place now. We are favorites now, so a loss would be devastating. The Lions are now where the Packers were 4 or 5 years ago. The difference is that the Packer relied on one player we have a whole team.
The Lions will win. But, for me, it would suck, but I wouldn't say devastating. One thing I love about the Lions is that they are still "building". They have all their big draft capital, their starters are basically under control for a while yet, the coaching staff is solid and smart (they've been prepping for awhile now for AG and BJ to jump), and their leadership is very good. As long as they have MCDC and Holmes, they will be fine no matter what happens on the field. That said, the Lions are gong to run over Jayden with a lawnmower (metaphorically speaking).
I watched the Commanders play the Eagles on Thursday night and neither team looked great. The quarterbacks could run but be neither team had any consistent offense until Barkley broke a couple long runs. Neither of those two teams is near as good as KC, Buffalo or Baltimore.
This game is a battle on the trenches. I think the LIONS DL has to make Daniels a pocket passer and apply pressure, and make him throw over the lineman, just like they did to Darnold.
I wouldn't't call Jaydon Daniels a rookie, he started 50 college games in a row. He is very familiar at QB position. He can read the field, run, and is poised in that QB position. Go Detroit, get yours tomorrow night.
Bobby Wagner is over the hill. He's still has a bad ankle. Washington is ranked 30th against the run. DeAndre Swift rushed for 154 yards against that crummy defence.
My prediction! Ag will stay loyal and we will get crosby as part of the trade for Ben. Hey!!! If I had to choose which to keep it'd be AG! He's pulled out the impossible! Whats his name (johnson, traitor) got the perfect Offense without issues!
Washington is a bigger paper tiger than Minnesota was this year. I didn't think that was possible. NFL games are won in the Trenches and turnover ratio. Goff must play better in this game , than he did against Minnesota. Lions win this easily (if they have no turnovers) 38-17 Daniels is one hit away from becoming RG III jr. Lions have to hit this guy early and hard. Get in his head, make him afraid, very afraid!
What makes you guys think that you have learned how to win it all yet, because all I hear from Detroit fans, and podcasters are the exact same things we heard from Philly Fans a few weeks ago, the same things said by TB Fans, that the Commanders have no chance. Keep believing you all know how to win, because I am 65, and I don't EVER recall you all receiving the Lombardy Trophy at the end of the year. NEVER!!! I promise you I will be back tomorrow to hear the excuses!!!! Please look at the Defensive Backs and believe they are the same unit from the first 6 weeks of the year, when they had Forbes (gone), they had St. J (never plays), and you all keep pointing at Lattimore, who has NOT HAD more than 3 weeks of practice, with a completely new team, with new Defensive System, and coming off a Hammie. Why does it take an elite athlete about a year to come back from.
@@nemesisbreakz because that would literally be the craziest twist. our 12 year qb who got traded to the rams and our new qb who used to be a ram meeting and then our old legend stopping us from getting to the bowl??? come the hell on that'd be terrible and i dont see the lions recovering from that
Washington only gave up 284 yards last week to a Baker Mayfield led team that beat the Lions already, and on the road in a hostile environment. Sometimes it's hard to recognize greatness until it's too late. What's coming up is back to back road wins in the playoffs by a rookie quarterback. JD5

Gibbs and Montgomery will rip the half arsed commandets defense.
Go lions go !!!
Ripp it clean in half brother!

I don't get nervous about something like a game when I have no control of the outcome.
Exactly
Matt Dery for Mayor. great episode
Its not Dee Troit. Its Detroit!!
Sometimes people want to accent it, let them
What’s there to be nervous about?? We’re by far the better team, at home and are favored by 8-10 points, period. We’re taking this game, let’s ride
First play of the game. Monty and Gibbs in the backfield. Play action. Deep ball to Jamo. Never look back.
Monty seems to run into the line, toss back to Goff, then TD pass to Jamo
Don’t forget if it wasn’t for that fumble they wouldn’t have won against TB
Don’t forget if, what if, but if, jesus… do you people not understand how football works by now 😅😅 let’s just enjoy this game and this moment ✌️✌️
Don’t fumble the ball 😉
😂@@YoVlade
And the DOINK!
@justincruise4080 for sure Dude... your absolutely right!
Matt, I am glad you did not burn that kicker list in your yard, never get rid of that!😃
Im not nervous because the Lions have better players and coaches. But I am excited. 2 weeks has felt like 2 months. LFG!!!
This game is a battle on the trenches. I think the LIONS DL has to make Daniels a pocket passer and apply pressure, and make him throw over the lineman, just like they did to Darnold.
Go Lions!
Lions 41-10 😅
33-13 lions

Lions 54, commandets 9
GAURANTEED !!!
It won't even be close at ford field.
Go lions go. !!!
We hope !!!!! STAY HEALTHY MEN !!!!!
Sure hope your right.
Lions in a walk over
I want the Rams!
Most of the games the commandets have won this year are only few point games.
Commandets are not that good.
Go lions go !!!!
😬
Wouldn’t say they’re “not that good”
Ya, they forget, that Raiders are offering triple what the Commanders offered last year.
Haha!!! 53 year old Bobby Wags on a bum knee?! Good luck trying to keep up with Gibbs and Port!
My prediction! Ag will stay loyal and we will get crosby as part of the trade for Ben. Hey!!! If I had to choose which to keep it'd be AG! He's pulled out the impossible! Whats his name (johnson, traitor) got the perfect Offense without issues!
Lions will win big - 14+.
I get nervous before every game especially this one don't take them lightly
If Ben goes to Chicago I'll be sick to my stomach
First!!!!!!!!
It’s DE-troit

Not true, minn has the way better front and LBS.

If we end up facing the rams and stafford beats us in the nfc championship this team is perma cursed
Why??

@@xer0Hackwhy even say that? Stafford 1-8 in snow games. Snow in Philly on sunday

Sorry, it's not going to happen. 34 17 , Lions.
That means absolutely Nothing, the same way it meant Nothing that Bucs also beat Commanders week 1 by 17 pts.
R u comparing a Ford field environment with A Raymond j stadium.?? U either don't watch football or have zero knowledge of detroit
This is the Lion's peak. After they lose Saturday to the Commanders they will lose their coordinators and NEVER reach the Super Bowl in your lifetime.
Wishful thinking
Yes my bro, you are the man! I’ll definitely be with you on Sunday morning to celebrate.
Ok boy
@@winnguyen443wishful indeed
You should be worried. Washington is for real. Detroit will probably win but it will be sooooo close.
We shall see
They said the vikings game would be close 😂😂😂
Pegging? 😂
In a big game you guys choke you never won anything
