The Wensleydale Railway - featuring Pacer 143623

The Wensleydale Railway is a heritage railway in Wensleydale and Lower Swaledale in North Yorkshire, England. It was built in stages by different railway companies and originally extended to Garsdale railway station on the Settle-Carlisle line. Since 2003, the remaining line has been run as a heritage railway. The line runs 22 miles (35 km) between Northallerton West station, about a fifteen-minute walk from Northallerton station on the East Coast Main Line, and Redmire.
Regular passenger services operate between Leeming Bar and *Redmire, with a shuttle to Scruton, occasional freight services and excursions travel the full length of the line.
*services to Redmire are suspended at the moment due to ongoing track maintenance

OH, and I still hope the wensleydale railway, (which also appears to have become quite a newfound hub in pacer preservation in recent years) can successfully re-open that stretch of line from leyburn up the dale to redmire, let alone onto castle bolton, Also to the west of Northallerton as well,
I bet it'll be ever so great to see the entire remaining wensleydale line between redmire and northallerton fully resurrected in it's current surviving length, which is sure to go from strength to strength.

Indeed, I was lucky enough to do a trip to Redmire a few years ago when the line was open, I'll put a link in the video description to that video. I guess it's a question of money and volunteers. ....Drew
