    Ay! That parking brake wire into the ground wires hack was great! Was trying to figure out a way around that myself, more because I just didn’t want to have to deal with running the wire under the floor mats. Haha. Great info! 🤙🏻

    This install seems backward. You said the first thing we are going to do...but then I see all the wires connected. What was connected to the factory wiring harness kit in order to wire to the stereo?? Was there an adapter? Thx.

    I have had no success finding any sound shop that would touch my 2007 Sprinter. Car Toys mulled over it for days, then came back bust. So I guess I will take a crack at it.
    Does the Pioneer unit you put in include alarm or camera functions, support backup camera, have Sirius-XM, Any additional major features ?
    Will the as-built non-operative PHONE button ( Lower right buttons of steering wheel ) enable the Bluetooth phone functions on Pioneer head ?
    Does this hookup interfere with any future vehicle diagnostics, or is the adapter/pigtail plugged into the OEM Connectors, allowing me to do a hot swap back to old radio when sending vehicle in for any services that the hookup could interfere with ?

      @EXPLORISTlife 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      1: Not sure. We really only used it for the music functionality. We were indeed also able to wire it up for our backup camera. Our van didn't have an alarm, so I can't speak to that. If you check out the product page, that SHOULD tell you all of the features it has.
      2: I think so, but we never really used that functionality.
      3: I'm not sure what specific plugs you are looking for regarding 'future vehicle diagnostics', so I can't say. It doesn't use the OBDII Port, that's for sure. lol

      Me too! I just ordered one of these: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VAIEAUM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and I am debating where to put it. One option is to remove the cigarette lighter and replace it with this. Alternatively I am thinking of poking a hole somewhere in the paneling... decisions...

    I've got a pioneer MVH-A200VBT. I got a plug n play kit for it and now my head unit works when the car is off no keys in. But as soon as the keys are in or the car is on the head unite doesn't work. Any suggestions?

      You need to make sure your permanent and switch live wires are going to the right place. Often these are on bullet connectors so they can be swapped, historically they were yellow and red

    If you hook the yellow and blue wire together instead of grounding your stereo You can watch tv and video. As the truck is driving and not in park. That's what I had to do for my jennson stereo ....

    Great video but I think I will stick to the stock radio and my iPad with Waze or Google maps for guidance, music etc. Yeah, and it even does email, phone calls at my command. Now if someone would come up with a way to mount an iPad into that nice space where the old radio is, I would love to get rid of that Becker piece of junk. How MB gets away with selling it in these nice vans is beyond me. But I am glad some has alternatives but just looking at all those wires made me dizzy. 😂

      Adventure in a Backpack Good point. Our new Sprinter has the BT and back up camera screen so I hadn’t thought how lucky we were to have that part out of the way.
