I picked up a dryer from a very nice old lady's house, and I tore it apart as well. I ended up finding her mother's valuable ring she lost 2 years prior. Once I found it, I went back to her house and returned it to her. I could have kept it, but I'm American, and I was raised right. Also, you have all those motors you should take them apart and separate the copper from the magnetron in the motor, put it in another bucket and the scrapyard will buy that separately from the copper. So you could make more $$ when you're not busy. As well as those tablets you can save those and take them else where & make $. Those electric scooter things have batteries in them as well.
That's awesome. You're a good human. I once found a wedding ring as well, but the customer got mad at me for returning because he already spent $5,000 apparently on a new one for his wife. He was very ungrateful for my find 🤦♂️😂
@JackofHaulTrades That's terrible that he was ungrateful for the good and honest in you. What a dirt bag. You Probably should have just kept it and walked away, I guess. That's stunning really. What do you do, though? That is one of those weird situations.
You’re a great role model for your brothers bro 🙏🏼 Your channel is exploding and you deserve it! When I get back from my military deployment, I’m gonna go get me a top shelf and start my side hustle! God bless.
Dude funny I just did the same thing with a dryer yesterday. I always take the wiring out of them. My scrap yard doesn't grade the wire so they pay 1.80 per lb for all wire so I take everything. By the way I only found a dime. Thank you for your content.
Like always trying to make a dollar cleaned up the yard and sold some stuff and did a job good for you my friend happy you posted my friend catch the next post thanks again

Thats nice that you get a upgrade on the log splitter , hope they get new shipment in soon . That mini skid sure comes in handy around the yard - it would take forever to load that scrap into the trailer without it 👍
Hey Andre. Good job always hustling, but what are your plans for the next stage of your business? Do you have any plans to expand to other type of work, buying more equipment to allow you to take on other work? etc.? Fun to hear of your logic in squeezing out more profit, but wondered what is your next business move.
For now I'm not planning on buying any more equipment. I would like to pay off some more debt first. I would like to get into more tree work honestly! I really enjoy it :) I appreciate the support boss 🫡
My landfills is 80$ everytime should I keep everything in my back yard until I get a big enough pile then go just once big time oppose to 2-3 times a week
Whenever Tractor Supply calls me saying my log splitter is finally in 😩 They sold out, so they are upgrading me for the same price. I just need to wait on them to receive another shipment of them 🤷♂️
Hi, I always enjoy watching your videos. I hope your business is going well. But I have a question. If you're already taking the electrical devices apart, why don't you cut off every cable and why don't you remove the circuit boards and take them to the scrapyard. You'll make more money. But keep it up
Hi! My yard unfortunately doesn't pay me more for the boards so I sell them at scrap prices. No point in taking them out in my area unfortunately. I appreciate the support 🙏
@@JackofHaulTrades Hi, yes, that's almost the same for me. But I've now found someone who will buy my circuit boards from me. But there are a lot of people on TH-cam from the USA who do that. Perhaps there is someone near you who can help you. Take a look at shark scrapper, perhaps he can help you or has another idea. I wish you lots of luck and success. Best wishes from Germany and if we don't hear from each other again, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
You should bush hog more of your backyard and cut down those small trees so you have more room and regrade a little to make a flat spot for your attachment. Good job overall.
Just think about all those companies that take washers and dryers to the scrap yards for free and how much money could be in them sometimes you never know and you probably never will now. $100 bill that came out of a pants pocket or jacket pocket and was stuck to the inside of the washer or dryer
Yep. I found so much good stuff in them when I did appliance repair lol. But I always gave it back to the customers. Someone got mad at me because I found their wedding ring lmao. Like what? He was like bro I already bought another one for $5k 😂😂😂
When a customer calls and says they need a dryer, fridge, lawnmower, or whatever scrap removed my prices start at $80. Some go for it, and some don't. I just can't justify doing it for free after the fuel costs wear on equipment and my time picking it up 🤷♂️
Well, that's not really what I meant. My parents live in apartments, so they don't really get to do any work like this unfortunately. They had fun when visiting my place :)
Love scrapping. My boy helps me a it’s quality time spent!

@nosk1984 Right, I was like dang! I should have just kept it after his response, but then I would have felt guilty
@nosk1984 I used to fix appliances for a living for 3 years. I found lots of cool things but gave them all back 😂

I’ve been towed by a monstrous semi truck. Actually it’s a tow truck. lol😂. Pretty good haul to the scrap yard. Great video my friend
Thank you sir! How was it being towed by one of those?
oh and the outside of the stater box you took off of the washer not only had valuable magnets but was also made from aluminum !!

Dude in my area we can sell pallets to scrap as well $3 a pallet they sort them and sell them and mostly shred for mulch.
Lucky!!! In my area scrap yards won't buy them. I would have to take it to a special place
Excellent job once again. If you want you could save all the change you find for your son.
That's a great idea! And then have him count it when he grows up 😂😂😂
@JackofHaulTrades we used a 5 gallon plastic bottle from Walmart. Hopefully you can find something like that yourself!
Always good to land a job when you least expect it! Waiting to see the splitter in action. Tractor supply didn’t finesse you did they 😂
I hope not 😂

Is there a different grade if scrapped whole? Because of the plastic content?
For metal no but for motors and wires absolutely!

I can only tell you the prices in Germany. And it's worth it. But just look at the videos of the shark scrapper. The worst board costs 1€ per kilo
