Scams are on a next level since lockdown. They will even duplicate the banks number so if you have the bank number saved in your phone you’ll think it’s them. You’re not the the only one and not stupid. It’s scary in the moment. I hope you get your money back and I’m loving the styles you’ve had in the video.

My 72 year old mother recently got scammed on WhatsApp and she lost all of her pension that she has to live on. The bank wouldn't refund it because they said she "knowingly" handed over the money. So heartbreaking. These people are pure evil and make me sick. I'm so sorry this happened to you too :(

Calling the bank back doesn’t work! Don’t do that. They have a way of keeping your call and you go back to them again even after a re dial. Call the bank on a different phone if u can or go onto your online banking chat x

We all have to remember to never believe anyone calling us like that, just say "Thanks, I'll check it out", and call your bank directly. Oh honey this is a really scary scam, you really should not feel stupid at all. My dad had a call this weekend form the same people! Thankfully there were enough of us around that someone questioned it so nothing happened but it was scarily convincing. I’m so sorry for you and truly hope you get your money back! ❤

This actually happened to me earlier this year, and I even knew someone that got scammed off TINDER of all places!! If it happens to you please don't beat yourself up just remember you can ring your bank/other service providers directly to double check any info that someone is telling you. Thankfully I didn't lose any money but I very nearly did. These people do this 'professionally' as their stealing 9-5. Look after yourselves guys!!

They did it with my Monzo account and they even managed to CLONE the monzo app or something and sent me notifications through something that looked exactly like the app and I did everything they asked for! I only noticed it when they asked me about any other accounts that I might have "so they could call them and let them know to call me re suspicious activity", that was the moment where I was like, wait why would you call my other bank - surely that's not how it works and then I hung up. 5 mins later they emptied my account!

I literally had the same thing happen, except it was o2, they called me from a normal visible number and they were claiming that my tariff was being changed and bla bla, so I said I don't agree to it, and then they said there will be a text with a code, and it was from o2 but I was silly enough to not read the text as well which was telling me I shouldn't be giving the code out, and I gave it to them, I figured I was being scammed as soon as they told me they're transferring my call to someone else, I heard a rattle and it was the same guy but just changed his tone and told me a different name 🤣I felt like an idiot, and called for o2 for help, and luckily the scammers didn't manage to do anything to my account, but they could have taken contracts out with my account. Just letting everyone know in case they get this call too.
I'd love for you to get your money back but because you done the 2 step verification process from your phone it will be a lot harder to get your money back 😢
I did a similar thing with my laptop, it was a £2k laptop because of the memory. I didn't have AppleCare, but I put it on my home insurance so I just paid a £100 excess and they rebuilt the machine.

I had a text once about a transaction that I hadn’t put through. I then got a call from the bank which I ignored thinking it was scammers. It was an automated message so I thought 100% it was a scam. I rang the actual bank line and the call was genuine, apparently they use an automated one not an actual call. I still did the right thing not believing it though.
