She stayed that way for months, barely even doing anything in several matches because she had nothing in her arsenal. She has actually improved A TON in a relatively short time, I'll give her that. That said, nearly anyone on the entire planet could work a better debut match than hers was. They put her on TV way too soon.she was practically put on TV with next to no training. She should have still been taking lessons and working dark matches for at least one more month before she hit TV matches. Still I'll say it again. She has improved a lot in a fairly short time.

(No problem with Rollins, but I'm fucking sick of him by now.) No one is able to break into the Top 10 because McMahon is too afraid to push them and risk his moneymakers looking bad. The last 4 guys who had the full support of the fans are retired or pushed so far down the roster they might as well retire: Punk, Bryan, Ziggler, and Ryder. Is it true that Triple H runs everything NXT? Cause even though he has a major ego, if he can do this to a bunch of people only famous to Internet fans, I hope he takes over the company soon. McMahon is out of touch and washed up now that he has nothing left to fight for. Triple H can actually run a company without a rival there to push them to survive. HHH being a wrestler himself knows what pleases the fans and what they want to see. on the other hand, i have no freaking idea why eva marie was even on NXT, that really puzzles me. that being said, NXT's crowd is also smaller and more hardcore compared to regular RAW and smackdown's crowd. NXT's crowd makes NXT a lot more fun to watch, RAW and smackdown's crowd are more diverse (with casual fans, children, parents, etc) and they don't always have a clear cut bias over who they like, classic example would be cena. if cena were to be in NXT, he'll just get boos, definitely no cheers. so if HHH were given full control over RAW and smackdown, he might not be able to bring those 2 shows to NXT's level. it will be difficult to please the crowd, since the crowd is pretty diverse. next would be the long hours he needed to fill, to fill 5 hours every week compared to just 1 hour for NXT, RAW and smackdown becomes difficult to write for as they need a lot more feuds and storylines to fill those hours and viewers also tend to lose interest over time, so writing compelling stories to fill 5 hours weekly is a difficult task. we will never know how RAW and smackdown would do if HHH takes over 1 day. we can only hope for the best that he makes the right decisions and take eva marie off tv until she is really ready.

Bayley hadn't gone 1 on 1 with Sasha, Balor had never been in a ladder match, Crews debuted. Takeover Respect, as good as it was felt like Extreme Rules (the ppv after Mania)
Is anyone else is as impressed with Baron Corbin as I am? For a dude with almost no background in wrestling, he is one of the best in NXT, and that's amazing. WWE shouldn't push other guys over this home grown talent as much as they have.

Cae back to watch this. Totally agree. The main event was one of the best matches of year. Not just womens wrestling matches but any wrestling match. Hell, Baylee and Sasha put on a better 30 minute ironman match than most men have in the past. It was an incredible performance.
sasha banks making Izzy (the little girl) cry was the FOR ME the greatest moment in nxt to date (not talking matches just moments) because when sasha mouthed off at her Izzy started to cry in this corny family friendly era of wwe most wrestlers probably would've broken kayfabe and said sorry then carried on with the match. Sasha banks however decided to rub salt into the wound by stealing Izzy's headband and parading around the ring with it, at this point i thought i couldn't get better it was already the best thing i had seen during nxt. Oh how wrong i was because not only could it get better it did get better because sasha banks threw the headband (not lightly either) back at Izzy a moment of pure happiness for me watching that sasha banks you are a legit boss and my new all time favourite women's wrestler almost for that moment alone
What Saha Banks did to Izzy Bayley's Super fan was the most Heelish thing i have ever seen anyone do in the WWE for a long time and a part of me quite enjoyed it haha. The best thing about the IronWoman match was i was hesitant about if they could top what they did at Brooklyn and i was wrong and they did top it and it was on my birthday too which was a bonus. That Bayley and Sasha match was epic. Sasha is such an amazing heel. I can see a really awesome feud between Asuka and Sasha Banks down the road. The buildup would be incredible and so would the match. Both are technically sound and have submissions in their arsenal. This match would bring down the house for sure. I'm hoping the Boss gets the divas title soon.
As fans we got to have patience too, Jim Ross said it: "fans righ now have little to no patience" Gable is gonna shine. We don't have to riot for everything, this is NXT, not WWE .
Some of the best pure wrestling I've ever seen. It just shows that when story-lines are just kept simple it has far more affect than a complicated story-line. Women's wrestling has never been in safer hands than it is now. Apollo Crews continues to impress me, Breeze has definitely grown on me in recent weeks. This is the best show WWE has right now.

I spent an hour debating with myself over what match was better, Bailey vs Banks 1 or Bailey vs Banks 2... I would say 2 was. 1 was great, and extra amazing because it was completely unexpected. But I had to give it to 2, because it had a lot of expectations building up to it & it lived up to the expectations if not beating expectations.
That Tilt-A-Whirl End of Days was enough to make me go "Ok, Baron you win. Well done". I wish Gable and Jordan would've won, but Corbin and Rhyno earned it.
Asuka's chain submission wrestling was extremely impressive. I have been watching wrestling along time and that by far was the best performance by a woman wrestler. Her style makes her look and feel like a legit fighter. Asuka vs Sasha Banks would be a great match at Wrestlemania.
Even though people may have not wanted Rhyno and Corbin to be in the semi-finals (personally I didn't mind because how much it helped corbin grow as a wrestler) you have to admit that End of Days.....My God... that End of Days...... amazing.
WWE uses the Diva's revolution as a story point, where in NXT it is used to describe what they are actully doing. 2 totally different things and it's easy to see which way is working out

I'm not a Corbin fan, but he was very good on Takeover: Respect. And Gable on that deadlift German Suplex... wow. The thing I was slightly disappointed with was Full Sail, to be honest. What was once a big plus is now slowly turning into a problem for me. The impact of the matches in Brooklyn was better because of the atmosphere in the room. Not just the bigger audience, but also the fact the Full Sail audience has slowly grown to be a third player in the one v one matches. The dynamic has slowly changed. That third player was taken out in Brooklyn. I think they need to take out Full Sail for more live specials. But if they were to have this match anywhere else, we wouldn't have seen Sasha Banks' masterclass in heeling when she included Izzie in it. It was amazing. I loved that so much.
Probably the only let down for me about this Takeover was the Tag Team Classic ending. I loved that Baron and Rhyno went over, the two have some of the best in ring chemistry in NXT, and Gable was SO over. I think that it would have been a perfect show if Balor and Joe weren't in the finals. They're rivalling for the NXT championship, I don't think it's fair that of all the brilliant tag teams in NXT, they take the two main guys and have them outshine those teams. It's poor booking in my opinion.
I think what they were trying to do with the Dusty Classic final was have a traditional face vs. heel dynamic with Joe and Finn against Rhyno and Corbin. However, Jordan and Gable (especially Gable) are SUPER over and maybe the NXT brass just hadn't noticed yet. Oh well, a slight misstep in an otherwise flawless night of wrestling goodness.
WWE biggest wrestling threat is NXT if someone brought it out for an absurd amount of money I honestly think, WWE would be 2nd place in the US, which would be the best thing for the industry, WWE always needed WCW

This is what you get when you book a rivalry well. The first few matches between the two, and the angles leading to the end are suppose to build heat. That final match shouldn't be used to build more heat, the heat should already be there and it certainly was for that main event.

It was amazing! It's been forever since I had been so tuned into a women's wrestling match. I loved how dangerous Asuka is as well. She is super gorgeous yet also terrifying. The other matches were great as well. Although I wish Jordan and Gable were in the finals of the tournament. And did you hear the kurt angle like gable chants?? The guy so well over with the people!! He's going to be huge if the creative team on the main roster don't screw him up. Same with Jason Jordan!

Asuka is a miracle worker. I didn't think any match involved Dana Brooke could be good, but Asuka managed to make that really entertaining.

Bayley hadn't gone 1 on 1 with Sasha, Balor had never been in a ladder match, Crews debuted. Takeover Respect, as good as it was felt like Extreme Rules (the ppv after Mania)

Is anyone else is as impressed with Baron Corbin as I am? For a dude with almost no background in wrestling, he is one of the best in NXT, and that's amazing. WWE shouldn't push other guys over this home grown talent as much as they have.
NXT takeover respect is the first nxt event i ever watched i got wwe network and i decided to watch nxt where it was recap episode hyping takeover respect. I absolutely loved it especially asuka match i want to see her pushed more than anything

Cae back to watch this. Totally agree. The main event was one of the best matches of year. Not just womens wrestling matches but any wrestling match. Hell, Baylee and Sasha put on a better 30 minute ironman match than most men have in the past. It was an incredible performance.

sasha banks making Izzy (the little girl) cry was the FOR ME the greatest moment in nxt to date (not talking matches just moments) because when sasha mouthed off at her Izzy started to cry in this corny family friendly era of wwe most wrestlers probably would've broken kayfabe and said sorry then carried on with the match. Sasha banks however decided to rub salt into the wound by stealing Izzy's headband and parading around the ring with it, at this point i thought i couldn't get better it was already the best thing i had seen during nxt. Oh how wrong i was because not only could it get better it did get better because sasha banks threw the headband (not lightly either) back at Izzy a moment of pure happiness for me watching that sasha banks you are a legit boss and my new all time favourite women's wrestler almost for that moment alone

What Saha Banks did to Izzy Bayley's Super fan was the most Heelish thing i have ever seen anyone do in the WWE for a long time and a part of me quite enjoyed it haha. The best thing about the IronWoman match was i was hesitant about if they could top what they did at Brooklyn and i was wrong and they did top it and it was on my birthday too which was a bonus.

totally agreed, when sasha said she wanted to stay in nxt in a post match interview that summed it up for me. Nxt is so so much better than the main roster and bailey/sasha have had the best 2 matches this year, total respect.

That Bayley and Sasha match was epic. Sasha is such an amazing heel. I can see a really awesome feud between Asuka and Sasha Banks down the road. The buildup would be incredible and so would the match. Both are technically sound and have submissions in their arsenal. This match would bring down the house for sure. I'm hoping the Boss gets the divas title soon.
As fans we got to have patience too, Jim Ross said it: "fans righ now have little to no patience" Gable is gonna shine. We don't have to riot for everything, this is NXT, not WWE .
Some of the best pure wrestling I've ever seen. It just shows that when story-lines are just kept simple it has far more affect than a complicated story-line. Women's wrestling has never been in safer hands than it is now. Apollo Crews continues to impress me, Breeze has definitely grown on me in recent weeks. This is the best show WWE has right now.

I spent an hour debating with myself over what match was better, Bailey vs Banks 1 or Bailey vs Banks 2... I would say 2 was. 1 was great, and extra amazing because it was completely unexpected. But I had to give it to 2, because it had a lot of expectations building up to it & it lived up to the expectations if not beating expectations.
It's very rare that something will actually live up to expectations when people hype it up as much the iron women match but they did just that.
which is exactly whyI had to say it was better. mind you, if was only for that reason, so it really was a very close call.

Asuka's chain submission wrestling was extremely impressive. I have been watching wrestling along time and that by far was the best performance by a woman wrestler. Her style makes her look and feel like a legit fighter. Asuka vs Sasha Banks would be a great match at Wrestlemania.

Even though people may have not wanted Rhyno and Corbin to be in the semi-finals (personally I didn't mind because how much it helped corbin grow as a wrestler) you have to admit that End of Days.....My God... that End of Days...... amazing.

I'm not a Corbin fan, but he was very good on Takeover: Respect. And Gable on that deadlift German Suplex... wow.
The thing I was slightly disappointed with was Full Sail, to be honest. What was once a big plus is now slowly turning into a problem for me. The impact of the matches in Brooklyn was better because of the atmosphere in the room. Not just the bigger audience, but also the fact the Full Sail audience has slowly grown to be a third player in the one v one matches. The dynamic has slowly changed. That third player was taken out in Brooklyn. I think they need to take out Full Sail for more live specials.
But if they were to have this match anywhere else, we wouldn't have seen Sasha Banks' masterclass in heeling when she included Izzie in it. It was amazing. I loved that so much.
The last match I saw and chilled out to like I chilled out to Sasha & Bayley was probably Trish Lita at Unforgiven 06.

Probably the only let down for me about this Takeover was the Tag Team Classic ending. I loved that Baron and Rhyno went over, the two have some of the best in ring chemistry in NXT, and Gable was SO over. I think that it would have been a perfect show if Balor and Joe weren't in the finals. They're rivalling for the NXT championship, I don't think it's fair that of all the brilliant tag teams in NXT, they take the two main guys and have them outshine those teams. It's poor booking in my opinion.
The psychology of that match rivaled that of Austin and the Rock. It was fantastic. Women's wrestling is hopefully here to stay.

I think what they were trying to do with the Dusty Classic final was have a traditional face vs. heel dynamic with Joe and Finn against Rhyno and Corbin. However, Jordan and Gable (especially Gable) are SUPER over and maybe the NXT brass just hadn't noticed yet. Oh well, a slight misstep in an otherwise flawless night of wrestling goodness.

This is what you get when you book a rivalry well. The first few matches between the two, and the angles leading to the end are suppose to build heat. That final match shouldn't be used to build more heat, the heat should already be there and it certainly was for that main event.
i think i liked Bailey VS Sasha Banks in their NXT Takeover Brooklyn event a little betr, but Sasha's heel stance at this PPV was amazing.

It was amazing! It's been forever since I had been so tuned into a women's wrestling match. I loved how dangerous Asuka is as well. She is super gorgeous yet also terrifying. The other matches were great as well. Although I wish Jordan and Gable were in the finals of the tournament. And did you hear the kurt angle like gable chants?? The guy so well over with the people!! He's going to be huge if the creative team on the main roster don't screw him up. Same with Jason Jordan!
