How does that work ? If she dies doesn’t the effect go away? I thought it if I hit someone with an aura that gives 1+1+ for example, and she dies then that creature goes back to the opponent?
With Riku, if you choose the same mode 3 times with mystic confluence (draw a card 3 times), you get to choose all 3 of riku’s abilities because you chose a mode 3 times
Obeka’s exactly the sort of card I want to see more of, for the same reason I like Grenzo: Not too generically powerful (we’ve got plenty of that; it’s not that interesting) but encourages you to scrounge up a mix of cards people aren’t used to seeing because they’d be unplayable in any other Commander deck.
Taii doesn’t just care about opponent’s creatures, nor do you have to end up destroying the creatures to get the draw, so if you throw indestructible stuff on your side, or just a bunch of soldiers or goblins that have a 1 toughness, suddenly earthquake can become 2 mana draw 5, or more.
Eriette is underrated! Make a deck last night and Had Ondu which copied my auras which triggered an effort i could play them for free. Followed up by killing Aura Thief when I had Enchanted Evening and killed everyone with their own permanents. Everyone was like wtf is this commander and it’s super fun having a different strategy for each game!
Obeka deserves more love. I think she's gonna be a beast with the number of "At the beginning of your upkeep, you win the game" cards she has access to
Yeah Decent into Avernus and Revel in Riches only takes 3 upkeeps to win. The problem I found with Obeka after I built and goldfished her for a bit is that there are sooo many hoops to jump through. No only do you need at least 1 upkeep trigger to take advantage of her ability, but she is going to need haste and unblockable to get that trigger off. Anyone in their right mind with decent threat assessment will see it coming a mile away, so not only are you telegraphing your plan as you set up, but you need a ton of interaction and essentially and entire control shell to keep her and yourself safe. I decided against her after about 50 goldfish runs that she's almost complete jank and not really worth it if you play with people that know what they are doing.
@@alextelfer4215 Just no. If you want her with haste and unlockable, they've been printing those in low CMC for ages in enchantment format. Sword Coast Sailor and Rising of the Day is a good example. I found if you take a decent amount of the grixis shell from goro-goro and satoru, then add in the upkeep cards, she's pretty great.
I played her at the weekend, got 2 wins and 1 loss. Mechanised Production win in one game. Plarg and Nassari basically won me the other bit the actual win came from Court of Emberth. The game I lost someone stole her before I could do anything, I spent 7 turns waiting for a chance to get her back, and the turn I did I had the win only for someone to board wipe and set the game back. She's scary good.

I think you might've underrated Obeka. Apart from the fact that some of these upkeep trigger cards are just decent cards on their own (which will give you value even if she's off the board), you're in red and blue which gives you access to tons of protection spells
Unfortunately she needs all the protection spells to function. She's very slow and there are a ton of hoops to jump through since she will very likely need haste and unblockable to get any triggers at all. Plus your opponents will be gunning for you the entire time. I goldfished her a bunch of times and decided against her for these reasons.

Obeka just looks very unfun to actually play. Either you draw the protection/haste enablers in your deck on time and then just win the game on the spot or you don't draw that stuff, get her killed twice and then you're just completely out of the game. Way too swingy for my tastes.
Im actually super excited for Wylie, i have an Emmara "tap my commander" deck that struggles with card advantage, probably literally swapping the commanders out because Wylie greases the wheels
For taii wakeen, I kinda feel like you paid way too much attention to the first part. The second ability is super strong by itself, and the fact that if you want to buff something to just the right amount you get to also draw cards is crazy
I’m under the impression that the creatures you steal with Eriette are no longer linked to her being on the battlefield. So whatever you put auras on, if Eriette gets sniped, you still control the creature for as long as the aura is attached to it. Ups the power level a tiny bit I would say, and it’s a cool effect, Esper theft is an interesting deck and I’m excited to try and build it
Taii Wakeen's static ability works with your own creatures. It's another commander that profits from cards like brash taunter, stuffy doll, and marauding raptor
I'm confused at how people are always busy looking at Taii Wakeen's drawing ability. Taii doesn't focus only on sniping creature. Taii also burns your opponent life points. With some rituals, Taii can buff Thermo-Alchemist's dmg. Taii is like the red Ojeer, but 1. Taii got card draw build in and 2. Taii got the dmg buff build in.
Literally, all the usual suspects become nightmares with Taii. Electrostatic Field, Thermo-alchemist, guttersnipe, prodigal pyromancer, etc. suddenly they're all hitting for however much mana you had sitting around on top of your shock to get it going. Even if you only pump the spells by 4, you could be looking at 6 from shock, 5 from Thermo (twice), 5 from electrostatic, and 6 from guttersnipe. And if you have more than one low cost burn to throw out, my God.

I build a Spellslinger control deck with her and it is so easy to deal >35 DMG in one turn. Last time I played her, I dealt 50 dmg to all opponents on turn 6 and it was not even my turn.
15:33-ish you guys realize you dont have to cast the one drop commander on turn one, right? It's not a requirement. You can spend the early game reving up like Mia said she wanted to and then cast the one mana commander for 1 on a later turn. I feel like he's placed too low for a made-up problem
I have went full on Burn but I also have toyed with impact tremors, warleader calls shenanigans and it looked amazing both way. You just have to accumulate mana or cast thing like Jeskas Will and make big activation and now begin the pinging
You definitely ranked Kellan, eriette, obeka, taii wakeen, and DEFINITELY vihaan too low. They should all be top 10. Kellan is basically Chulane without the card draw but since you’re in bant colors, you have access to the best card engines in the game and also since you’re going to want to use adventure, plot, foretell, cascade, discover and cards that let you cast spells off the top of your deck, you don’t need the card draw on Kellan. Obeka has sooo many cards with busted upkeep triggers. Taii wakeen is cheap cmc and can so some SERIOUS damage. Creatures stolen with Eriette stay with you as long as your aura is on it. And wow, vihaan at 15? You definitely committed a crime there. He’s busted. I guarantee you vihaan decks are gonna get out of hand. People will fear him at tables. Turbo-ing out treasures while you have cards like Murkwood bats, reckless fireweaver, disciple of the vault and various other aristocrats and those tokens come out as hasty vigilant 3/3’s that you can attack with immediately, then sack them in your second main phase for mana which will also trigger whatever aristocrat card you have out. Also goes infinite with pitiless plunderer. He’s gonna be nuts. Your Stella Lee is overrated, but she is going in the 99 of my Niv-Mizzet parun deck. I’m willing to bet when these decks get play tested against each other, you’ll find out she definitely isn’t the best.
Something I really like about Vraska is that she kind of works like a bootlegged Bootlegger's Stash as well, turning your spent mana into permanent token mana. Even if you don't really need a creature that died, it's still probably worth spending, since it lets you carry over mana for big spells on later turns, which Golgari loves already.
Vraska doesn't make things tokens! Super important note, since it means you can't make full use of golgari token cards like Doubling Season or Second Harvest
What You do with Calamity Galloping inferno is try to win when it it hits the board, I guess it would belong as a combo commander rather than a casual where theres more of a grind to the game.
The reason for seeing Tiny so low makes no sense. He's on board turn one and taking out minion's or dealing damage. He'll be taken out early in turn now you're being him back turn 3 or 4 hopefully haste or evasion is on the field by then and boom it's paying off.
Calamity makes two tokens as it repeats the process and you get to keep your non legendary creature safe while you get two of them to do stuff with. It’s a good card
I think taii wakeen is an alternative to some torbran decks. Impact tremors, raid bombardment, goblin bombardment, hellrider, sunshot militia… with six mana, every ping of damage is 7 damage to everyone’s face
As a person who plays with a Vihaan Deck, I dub it many, many names. I usually dub it "The Mr. Krabs Special" or "The US Defense Budget". One Commander Podmate has also called it "The Penguin Deck", because I would love to think that the Goons are your Outlaws you're giving Haste and Vigilence too, and your Assassin Constructs of Treasure is your Little Mechanical Penguins.
Calamity doubles TWICE btw so I think it's definitely a bit more useful than you gave it credit for, especially as redundancy in like a Delina deck, etc.
I think Obeka is really underrated, I played against it and realistically you will win the game 1 or 2 turns after casting her, the amount of value even a single trigger with her brings is absolutely insane
Kirri is 🌵🏜️🥰🎖️ Returning sacrificed lands to hand each turn is excellent ramp and having access to plants and treefolk in the graveyard is great. I’m riding the high of my first win with my Kirri deck. 24 lands on the board by turn eleven. Cultivator Collusus and Multani, Yavimaya’s Avenger on the board, Kirri had 9 +1/+1 counters on her from Felidar Retreat. Then I played Gisela, Blade of Goldnight into Treacherous Terrain and hit everyone for 48. It was my best game of magic yet.
We like them too, but it’s practically impossible with how many legends are released these days vs how many views Ranking Every Commander has been getting
For some reason i cant escape mono red commanders, and calamity is doing my favorite thing to do in mono red. Those army in a can commanders are my favorites in the format
Satoru works with Ninjutsu, Evoke, Scam cards, Plot, Flicker, Reanimate, multitude way of put card from your hand to battlefield like Aether Vial and probably more. It’s so versatile and cheap to get value. Fblthp, Lost in the Range works on deck that want to cast multiple spell in turn. Probably find spells like Delayed Blast Fireball where it does more if cast from exile.
Satoru also works with Undying & Persist and any effect that brings creatures back from the graveyard (loads of effects in zombies, skeletons & vampires)
as the world's #1 fan of the impulse draw theme (faldorn, pia, prosper, thirteenth, possibly kellen) I feel i must apologize for how much impulse drawing is in this set. I am eating good in OTJ
Tinybones has been an amazing card for me. I usually save it for the late game when I have a mana base and it’s cheap enough to cast that it doesn’t mess with mana base. Usually I make him unblockable so that I can get that hit in. I find if no one has anything for me to steal I’ll still force a fight to kill something that has caused me trouble. With enough graveyard back to hand I almost never put him back to the command zone But I do understand that purely on a power state and looking at it alone it is a very weak card when compared to everything else
I was a little disappointed that you did not rate with your usual categories like fun uniqueness etc. Not everyone in Commander only looks for power, especially in casual.
As someone who's played the Yuma precon a lot since I bought it, I can confirm that he's a powerhouse of a commander even when you're playing a bit more laid back.
I think calamity, galloping inferno is getting snubbed because it’s not a broken/ combo card. It’s so easy to get to 6 mana anyways but if you’ve set this up with warstorm surge or terror the the peaks it could win right there since it’s so late in the game. That’s not even including the etb effect of the copied creature. I guess someone could delay you winning by 1-2 turns with a kill spell they somehow have still at turn 6 but they have a pretty limited window to do that.
Agree, sadly it seems like recently the nerds are blinded by powercreep and if it's not broken then its garbage. Honestly i think i might need to search for a new channel.
I recently made a Calamity deck. It is extremely solid. It can generate very good value on top of being a lot of pressure on the table. The turn calamity comes in it can easily generate multiple treasures or ramp with simuacrum, or do some insane damage coping calamity bearer, make a lot of pressure with a couple of balors attacking. And a turn later when you can get a spawn of thraxes down, or a stalking vengance, maybe a red dragon, the board is getting very low on life. Can it be removed? Yes, as basically everything and is a commander that does something the turn it comes in. I have found it very strong overall.
Building Lilah actually seems pretty easy to me: Build it as a boardwipe deck where if your opponents have the gall to try and rebuild their boards you just boardwipe them again
I got to play the new Satoru at my LGS this week (Rule 0'd him in) and I have to say he's absolutely fantastic if you want to play ninjas and not run Yuriko as the commander. Yuriko was the second deck I built and I never got to play her because she was just WAY too strong for the pods I typically played in. I then tried the original Satoru, but he doesn't really want you to even play ninjas. After that was Goro-Goro and Satoru, which was definitely the best of the 3 for a casual table, but the dragon payoffs just didn't feel very ninja-y to me. The new Satoru is easily my favorite ninjas commander though. He comes down early, gets you a ton of value over time, but also usually doesn't justify targeted removal. I am honestly just so stoked to have a viable commander for a full on Dimir ninjas deck that isn't Yuriko!
To be clear, Kambal only triggers the drain once for each group of tokens, so you can't make 3 spirits and drain for 3, it would only drain for 1 instead. One or more SUCKS

eriette would work with the goad/impetus cards because you can’t have the power you put out used against you even if she’s removed but i feel like there aren’t enough of those cards in her colors
I don't understand putting Obeka at #37 because "oh just you wait until I untap" and "you need a bunch of haste enablers and upkeep triggers" and then putting Akul at #5 because "dummy dummy dummy, then cheat out an Eldrazi." You say Obeka is telegraphed, is Akul not even more telegraphed? What is stopping somebody from correctly identifying that you have 3 creatures out before turn 4, and just holding up instant speed removal because Akul clearly says "only as a sorcery." Obeka is clearly powerful, with a number of upkeep effects that can just outright win you the game if you even get just two more of them per turn, not even considering more if you suit up Obeka. This isn't 2016 where every equipment besides Sword of Feast and Famine or Boots or Greaves sucks and there aren't good ways to give something unblockable.
You guys are wrong about Riku, Mystic Confluence will let you choose all 3 modes of Riku no matter what you pick. It does not say "where X is the number of modes chosen" it says "Where x is the number of times you chose a mode"
If Kambal dies you still have a board full of tokens. He’s much better then you’ve put him. You politic with the one person you’ve given the tokens to. Also there’s a million treasure tokens in the format your opponents make incidentally. In fact, there’s tokens everywhere. Practically every deck makes them.
I feel like so many of the effects from Thunder Junction only triggering once per turn is a solid way to keep their power level in check. Wizards probably doesn't want to have another Krenko, Mob Boss situation on their hands where the card can create near infinite value in just one turn.
Definitely agreed with Stella Lee being in that position, the precon alone is like a power 7 deck. I've never seen a precon commander go infinite with so many different cards so easily. It's disgusting powecreep but man does it look fun.
A insta grabbed a copy of the precon for 37€. Last precon I picked up was intentionally a battle cruiser deck, which is fun to play (against). But deep down, I'm just a Johnny. And the price is still good for what you get.
Fblthp probably is a storm-esque commander, since plotting is essentially letting you bank up your mana into exiled spells, for a storm payoff like Brain Freeze or Radstorm. It's probably okay at casual decks because you can bank half a combo without making it vulnerable to removal or discard while you wait to find the other piece. But definitely not a strong commander.
Ertha definitely feels too low, especially with all the red “make a copy of target creature” cards like Kiki Jiki. Not to mention Zirda, Mother of Runes effects, fling effects, etc.
Fblthp, Lost on the Range doesn't work with "no mana cost cards" - They don't have a 0 mana cost, they have Null mana cost. Which means you can't plot it. They do however have a mana VALUE of 0. CMC != CMV

Im not peofessional or anything, but for having a tinybones the pickpocket deck, its better than it seems. Imagine a ragavan, but that getd better as the game progress. I didnt put discard and mill cards like crazy, simply mono black good stuff and good ol swords. It becomes a mid game menace that rewards you for hitting your opponents. Having a great time so far !

Doesn't work. Ertha will not trigger for the copies because it only triggers when you activate an ability, and you are not activating them. The copies are directly put on the stack.

Impulse drawing 3/4 cards a turn in addition to your normal draw seems much more powerful than you are giving it credit for. Typically you hit a land you can play a ramp spell you can play and permanent based removal you can play in the 3/4 cards each of your turns….

In my playtesting, Taii Wakeen is so oppresive that people often want to scoop. And people are really gassing up Akul, but sleeping on Rakdos because they get to put a creature into play for free. But people forget that you need to actually win the game. Which Rakdos does very easily. Both are ranked high here but a lot of people think Rakdos is trash.
Stupid question incoming, sorry for that. Will Ertha Jho, Frontier Mentor copy the ' tap and ping' ability from Kelsien the Plague? If yes, how does that work exactly?
It does work, and it works exactly like you would think. Let's say your opponent has a 2/2 on board. You tap Kelsien while Ertha Jo is on the board. Kelsien targets the 2/2 dealing one damage and creating the effect that, should or die this turn, you get an exp counter. Ertha Jo sees Kelsien's activated ability and copies it. You can basically do Kelsien's ability again, so you target the same 2/2 for another 1 damage and exp counter effect if it dies. The creature then dies and you get 2 exp counters because the exp effect attached to it twice.
So you can play cards exiled with Gonti even if he dies? Does that mean every past card with a similar mechanic does the same? I had always been on the fence about cards like that because I assumed if the creature with the ability dies the cards I exiled would be stuck because they rely on the creature being around to cast it.
Any similar effect that says "you may cast the card for as long as it remains exiled", will allow you to play the card even if the source of this effect leaves the table. The only cards where them getting destroyed locks you out of the card you exiled are the ones that have the "you may play" clause as a separate ability or specify that they must remain in play
Eriette's effect doesn't end when she dies. You control the creature as long as the aura is attached to it.

Yes, but if Eriette gets sniped before the aura enters the battlefield the ability won't trigger at all and you will just buff their creature

Even if you only pump the spells by 4, you could be looking at 6 from shock, 5 from Thermo (twice), 5 from electrostatic, and 6 from guttersnipe. You are correct Taii is a beast and to many see only the first ability.
I build a Spellslinger control deck with her and it is so easy to deal >35 DMG in one turn.
Last time I played her, I dealt 50 dmg to all opponents on turn 6 and it was not even my turn.
15:33-ish you guys realize you dont have to cast the one drop commander on turn one, right? It's not a requirement. You can spend the early game reving up like Mia said she wanted to and then cast the one mana commander for 1 on a later turn. I feel like he's placed too low for a made-up problem

You guys are grossly underestimating Taii Wakeen. Build a token deck around her with ETB/creatures dying damage effects and she's a MONSTER.
They seem to not realise how easy her ability makes it to make the damage align

I have went full on Burn but I also have toyed with impact tremors, warleader calls shenanigans and it looked amazing both way. You just have to accumulate mana or cast thing like Jeskas Will and make big activation and now begin the pinging

You definitely ranked Kellan, eriette, obeka, taii wakeen, and DEFINITELY vihaan too low. They should all be top 10. Kellan is basically Chulane without the card draw but since you’re in bant colors, you have access to the best card engines in the game and also since you’re going to want to use adventure, plot, foretell, cascade, discover and cards that let you cast spells off the top of your deck, you don’t need the card draw on Kellan. Obeka has sooo many cards with busted upkeep triggers. Taii wakeen is cheap cmc and can so some SERIOUS damage. Creatures stolen with Eriette stay with you as long as your aura is on it. And wow, vihaan at 15? You definitely committed a crime there. He’s busted. I guarantee you vihaan decks are gonna get out of hand. People will fear him at tables. Turbo-ing out treasures while you have cards like Murkwood bats, reckless fireweaver, disciple of the vault and various other aristocrats and those tokens come out as hasty vigilant 3/3’s that you can attack with immediately, then sack them in your second main phase for mana which will also trigger whatever aristocrat card you have out. Also goes infinite with pitiless plunderer. He’s gonna be nuts. Your Stella Lee is overrated, but she is going in the 99 of my Niv-Mizzet parun deck. I’m willing to bet when these decks get play tested against each other, you’ll find out she definitely isn’t the best.
Something I really like about Vraska is that she kind of works like a bootlegged Bootlegger's Stash as well, turning your spent mana into permanent token mana.
Even if you don't really need a creature that died, it's still probably worth spending, since it lets you carry over mana for big spells on later turns, which Golgari loves already.
Vraska doesn't make things tokens! Super important note, since it means you can't make full use of golgari token cards like Doubling Season or Second Harvest
What You do with Calamity Galloping inferno is try to win when it it hits the board, I guess it would belong as a combo commander rather than a casual where theres more of a grind to the game.
The reason for seeing Tiny so low makes no sense. He's on board turn one and taking out minion's or dealing damage. He'll be taken out early in turn now you're being him back turn 3 or 4 hopefully haste or evasion is on the field by then and boom it's paying off.
Taii Wakeen is honestly disgusting burn damage. Chipping in 2 or 3 mana to quadruple the burn damage of Impact Tremors and the likes is insanity.
Calamity makes two tokens as it repeats the process and you get to keep your non legendary creature safe while you get two of them to do stuff with. It’s a good card
I think taii wakeen is an alternative to some torbran decks. Impact tremors, raid bombardment, goblin bombardment, hellrider, sunshot militia… with six mana, every ping of damage is 7 damage to everyone’s face
As a person who plays with a Vihaan Deck, I dub it many, many names. I usually dub it "The Mr. Krabs Special" or "The US Defense Budget". One Commander Podmate has also called it "The Penguin Deck", because I would love to think that the Goons are your Outlaws you're giving Haste and Vigilence too, and your Assassin Constructs of Treasure is your Little Mechanical Penguins.
Calamity doubles TWICE btw so I think it's definitely a bit more useful than you gave it credit for, especially as redundancy in like a Delina deck, etc.
I think Obeka is really underrated, I played against it and realistically you will win the game 1 or 2 turns after casting her, the amount of value even a single trigger with her brings is absolutely insane

Returning sacrificed lands to hand each turn is excellent ramp and having access to plants and treefolk in the graveyard is great.
I’m riding the high of my first win with my Kirri deck. 24 lands on the board by turn eleven. Cultivator Collusus and Multani, Yavimaya’s Avenger on the board, Kirri had 9 +1/+1 counters on her from Felidar Retreat. Then I played Gisela, Blade of Goldnight into Treacherous Terrain and hit everyone for 48.
It was my best game of magic yet.
I think I like Satoru because he is the most fair ninja commander that’s actually going to be ninjas.

Satoru works with Ninjutsu, Evoke, Scam cards, Plot, Flicker, Reanimate, multitude way of put card from your hand to battlefield like Aether Vial and probably more. It’s so versatile and cheap to get value.
Fblthp, Lost in the Range works on deck that want to cast multiple spell in turn. Probably find spells like Delayed Blast Fireball where it does more if cast from exile.
Satoru also works with Undying & Persist and any effect that brings creatures back from the graveyard (loads of effects in zombies, skeletons & vampires)

Tinybones has been an amazing card for me. I usually save it for the late game when I have a mana base and it’s cheap enough to cast that it doesn’t mess with mana base. Usually I make him unblockable so that I can get that hit in. I find if no one has anything for me to steal I’ll still force a fight to kill something that has caused me trouble. With enough graveyard back to hand I almost never put him back to the command zone
But I do understand that purely on a power state and looking at it alone it is a very weak card when compared to everything else
I was a little disappointed that you did not rate with your usual categories like fun uniqueness etc. Not everyone in Commander only looks for power, especially in casual.

I think calamity, galloping inferno is getting snubbed because it’s not a broken/ combo card. It’s so easy to get to 6 mana anyways but if you’ve set this up with warstorm surge or terror the the peaks it could win right there since it’s so late in the game. That’s not even including the etb effect of the copied creature. I guess someone could delay you winning by 1-2 turns with a kill spell they somehow have still at turn 6 but they have a pretty limited window to do that.
Agree, sadly it seems like recently the nerds are blinded by powercreep and if it's not broken then its garbage. Honestly i think i might need to search for a new channel.
I recently made a Calamity deck. It is extremely solid. It can generate very good value on top of being a lot of pressure on the table. The turn calamity comes in it can easily generate multiple treasures or ramp with simuacrum, or do some insane damage coping calamity bearer, make a lot of pressure with a couple of balors attacking. And a turn later when you can get a spawn of thraxes down, or a stalking vengance, maybe a red dragon, the board is getting very low on life.
Can it be removed? Yes, as basically everything and is a commander that does something the turn it comes in. I have found it very strong overall.
Building Lilah actually seems pretty easy to me: Build it as a boardwipe deck where if your opponents have the gall to try and rebuild their boards you just boardwipe them again
Magda has some interesting post board wipe synergies. Recast commander, sack as many treasures as youve stored up, surprise, its an army of dragons
I got to play the new Satoru at my LGS this week (Rule 0'd him in) and I have to say he's absolutely fantastic if you want to play ninjas and not run Yuriko as the commander. Yuriko was the second deck I built and I never got to play her because she was just WAY too strong for the pods I typically played in. I then tried the original Satoru, but he doesn't really want you to even play ninjas. After that was Goro-Goro and Satoru, which was definitely the best of the 3 for a casual table, but the dragon payoffs just didn't feel very ninja-y to me.
The new Satoru is easily my favorite ninjas commander though. He comes down early, gets you a ton of value over time, but also usually doesn't justify targeted removal. I am honestly just so stoked to have a viable commander for a full on Dimir ninjas deck that isn't Yuriko!
The best thing about the new crime mechanic is hearing so many people on youtube and podcasts talking about how easy it is to commit crimes.
To be clear, Kambal only triggers the drain once for each group of tokens, so you can't make 3 spirits and drain for 3, it would only drain for 1 instead. One or more SUCKS

eriette would work with the goad/impetus cards because you can’t have the power you put out used against you even if she’s removed but i feel like there aren’t enough of those cards in her colors
I don't understand putting Obeka at #37 because "oh just you wait until I untap" and "you need a bunch of haste enablers and upkeep triggers" and then putting Akul at #5 because "dummy dummy dummy, then cheat out an Eldrazi." You say Obeka is telegraphed, is Akul not even more telegraphed? What is stopping somebody from correctly identifying that you have 3 creatures out before turn 4, and just holding up instant speed removal because Akul clearly says "only as a sorcery."
Obeka is clearly powerful, with a number of upkeep effects that can just outright win you the game if you even get just two more of them per turn, not even considering more if you suit up Obeka. This isn't 2016 where every equipment besides Sword of Feast and Famine or Boots or Greaves sucks and there aren't good ways to give something unblockable.

You guys are wrong about Riku, Mystic Confluence will let you choose all 3 modes of Riku no matter what you pick. It does not say "where X is the number of modes chosen" it says "Where x is the number of times you chose a mode"
If Kambal dies you still have a board full of tokens. He’s much better then you’ve put him. You politic with the one person you’ve given the tokens to.
Also there’s a million treasure tokens in the format your opponents make incidentally. In fact, there’s tokens everywhere. Practically every deck makes them.

I feel like so many of the effects from Thunder Junction only triggering once per turn is a solid way to keep their power level in check. Wizards probably doesn't want to have another Krenko, Mob Boss situation on their hands where the card can create near infinite value in just one turn.

A insta grabbed a copy of the precon for 37€. Last precon I picked up was intentionally a battle cruiser deck, which is fun to play (against). But deep down, I'm just a Johnny. And the price is still good for what you get.
Fblthp probably is a storm-esque commander, since plotting is essentially letting you bank up your mana into exiled spells, for a storm payoff like Brain Freeze or Radstorm.
It's probably okay at casual decks because you can bank half a combo without making it vulnerable to removal or discard while you wait to find the other piece. But definitely not a strong commander.
In theory you can storm off yeah, in practice, once you have a few plotted cards and literally 0 board pressence, they are gonna kill you.
Ertha definitely feels too low, especially with all the red “make a copy of target creature” cards like Kiki Jiki. Not to mention Zirda, Mother of Runes effects, fling effects, etc.

Fblthp, Lost on the Range doesn't work with "no mana cost cards" - They don't have a 0 mana cost, they have Null mana cost. Which means you can't plot it.
They do however have a mana VALUE of 0.

Im not peofessional or anything, but for having a tinybones the pickpocket deck, its better than it seems. Imagine a ragavan, but that getd better as the game progress. I didnt put discard and mill cards like crazy, simply mono black good stuff and good ol swords. It becomes a mid game menace that rewards you for hitting your opponents. Having a great time so far !

Doesn't work. Ertha will not trigger for the copies because it only triggers when you activate an ability, and you are not activating them. The copies are directly put on the stack.
There is a lot of low cost creatures/commanders in this set that just have colored mana pips to cast them. Any specific reason do you think?

Impulse drawing 3/4 cards a turn in addition to your normal draw seems much more powerful than you are giving it credit for. Typically you hit a land you can play a ramp spell you can play and permanent based removal you can play in the 3/4 cards each of your turns….

In my playtesting, Taii Wakeen is so oppresive that people often want to scoop. And people are really gassing up Akul, but sleeping on Rakdos because they get to put a creature into play for free. But people forget that you need to actually win the game. Which Rakdos does very easily. Both are ranked high here but a lot of people think Rakdos is trash.
I think akul is the trash card of the two, tbh. Once a turn and at sorcery speed with that specific mana cost REALLY holds him back.

Will Ertha Jho, Frontier Mentor copy the ' tap and ping' ability from Kelsien the Plague? If yes, how does that work exactly?
It does work, and it works exactly like you would think. Let's say your opponent has a 2/2 on board. You tap Kelsien while Ertha Jo is on the board. Kelsien targets the 2/2 dealing one damage and creating the effect that, should or die this turn, you get an exp counter.
Ertha Jo sees Kelsien's activated ability and copies it. You can basically do Kelsien's ability again, so you target the same 2/2 for another 1 damage and exp counter effect if it dies. The creature then dies and you get 2 exp counters because the exp effect attached to it twice.

Surprised Eris is at number 9 for being a very run of the mill izzet token commander.
So you can play cards exiled with Gonti even if he dies? Does that mean every past card with a similar mechanic does the same? I had always been on the fence about cards like that because I assumed if the creature with the ability dies the cards I exiled would be stuck because they rely on the creature being around to cast it.
Any similar effect that says "you may cast the card for as long as it remains exiled", will allow you to play the card even if the source of this effect leaves the table. The only cards where them getting destroyed locks you out of the card you exiled are the ones that have the "you may play" clause as a separate ability or specify that they must remain in play
