Nice to see the sun shining there in South Wales, and again another place I've never been to so was interesting seeing and learning abit about it. Thanks for another great video 🙂👍
Nice to see you had plenty of room on the bus.😂! Your Roman knowledge is extensive 👌. Always lovely to see the varied architecture Alice. England does do statues well Alice. Plenty of stories to tell. Im a fan of castles and their stories. You tell them well. This one is a treasyred relic of the past. Another fascinating episode Alice. I loved watching and learning. Enjoy the rest of the week. 👌🇳🇱🙋🏼♀️🥝
Thanks Anita. The bus journey was terrible, and it was an old bus. Pleased it was quiet! Welsh castles are very interesting, and we're all attacked early in the fifteenth century, others sadly damaged after the English Civil War. More castles to come in this series.
Praying for some warm sun so you can enjoy your adventures! Marriot's are pretty comfy, nice to have a nice base to be able to explore from too. The square is nice, it has everything you could need! Nice to see the war memorial, definitely nice to see like you mentioned! William's statue looks quite impressive outside the castle entrance. Great that it's free to enter, but of course such a shame how destroyed the castle is. Still very impressive how much still stands considering the sieges and battles that pummelled the place! Completely agree about your comments from Fairfax and Cromwell, unnecessary destruction! The area is still lovely as was the church, so glad you got to venture inside. Those timber ceilings and pews, wow! Thank you again, enjoying this series! :D
It would have been nice to see the castle as a park, but a prison was built there then council offices. It was the main entrance that was interesting architecturally, so I'm pleased that this has survived. There wasn't too much to see in Carmarthen, but it's a nice little town with a varied history.

I dodged the showers that day, but after a stopping for a coffee the sun came out, which was nice.
Oh blimey the debate on Cromwell and Fairfax right or wrong!!! I would love to see you produce a video based on that topic.
I know where Fairfax is buried, so yes, there is a video to be made at some point. I just need the time to plan it.
Beautiful scenery and buildings! Just back from Dorchester, a place you had made a video on! You're looking well too
wonderful video Alice, have a great week, greetings from Argentina

Now THIS takes me back. In 1982, my family and I had a holiday chalet in Llansteffan which is near to Carmarthen.
It's a lovely part of Wales, as you will see in next week's video.
Lovely church, and the castle gatehouse is in a fine state of preservation. Interesting little town.
Yes, it was. Just the type of town that I look for. Didn't like the modern shopping area, but the old part was nice.
Great to watch this Alice, I'm a huge fan of trips to Wales so glad you’ve enjoyed it once again. Warm wishes wishes Millionaire Paul 🙏
Thanks Paul. There is a surprise for you in one of my recent videos - 4 years on TH-cam.
Shame about the rail replacement bus… it’s a very pretty rail journey otherwise
