Canoe Mississippi: 23 miles on the Wild and Scenic Black Creek (Brooklyn to Cypress Creek)

This was the first paddle of 2025 and a sentimental one for me. Years ago Cody and I literally guided hundreds of kids and adults down a section of this river when we managed the outfitter Red Wolf Wilderness Adventrues. It was wonderful to do it again almost 10 years later with my son and son-in-law in January of 2025. Black Creek is a hidden gem in the Deep South .
