Surrounding the cave are the 7 Arcos (Arches). beautiful rock formations along the coastline. The area is surrounded by beaches and coconut palms.
    HOW TO GET THERE:
    Coordinates: 18.493665781534162, -66.63828004567485
Take the expressway PR22 to the Barceloneta exit. The Barceloneta Outlet Mall is right off the exit if you need bathrooms, food, ATM, or just about anything.
Then follow the beautiful coastline to Cueva del Indio. There are several places to eat in this area. I have stopped at "Arrecife 681" several times,, which is an outdoor restaurant right on the beach, about 3 minutes from the cave.
    Enjoy and be safe!

When did Arawak Taíno Indigenous ancestors arrive in Borikén the island of Puerto Rico in the antilles between the Atlantic and Caribbean Oceans in central america
The first inhabitants of Borikén today Puerto Rico were hunter-gatherers who reached the island more than 1,000 years before the arrival of the Spanish. Arawak Indigenous, who developed the Taino culture, had also settled there by 1000 ce. The clan-based Taino lived in small villages led by a cacique, or chief.

Hi Marivel. Not at the moment but a good friend of mine does tours to cueva del indio, waterfalls, El Yunque rainforest, etc. He’s also a scuba instructor. I would definitely recommend him. You can see his trip advisor page on the link. Thank you so much for watching my video! All the very best 🙏

What time did you go at? Was it later in the day or are the bats active all day?

I have been in this cave multiple times, and have always seen bats. This particular day I was there in the morning at about 9AM. They usually just hang from the ceiling. Thanks for watching my video!

@@thebestofpuertorico Thank you for responding this is a great video btw! I think I could make the climb but am a little hesitant if bats might fly around and surprise me. Are there any tour guides who will go down into the caves with you? I will be going with 2 other people but they are both tall guys that are more broad than I am so I highly doubt they will even attempt to go in with me. I feel like it might not be a great idea to go by myself but maybe it'd be alright!

So treacherous. My concern is if there were a flash flood anyone would be in trouble & it would be deadly.
