    Many wood crates I see people making on youtube do not look very strong. Your design which includes nails and glue, looks very sturdy. Good job. :)

      Thanks man! They are a bit heavy but shure they are strong and I keep using them!

    Super Design! Thank you! As you mentioned, the only cost is wood glue, pin nails, sealer, and time spent actually creating something! The results are much better than anything anyone could ever purchase! It should be noted your design does not require any plywood ($$) * Sizes can be adjusted slightly, for your intended use. I can see the benefits. *These storage crates are simple project, don't build just one, build 3 or 4... You won't be sorry :-)

      Thanks Bob! Actually we have been using the crates quite a lot in the last months. 😀👍

    Wouldn't recommend putting your fingers near the opposite side of a nail gun when pulling the trigger. Great project though, i got some old pallets that need to be used for something

    Sem duvida que as caixas são muito resistentes e devem durar uma vida so as acho que devem pesar imaginando elas cheias de fruta. good job

      Ricardo Nunes - Criador de Soluções obrigado! Já foram usadas várias vezes e sim são muito resistentes e aguentam bastante carga. Mas claro que se tornam um pouco pesadas.

    What do you say to the pallet to make it disassemble like that?!!!
    I like the crates very much. Thanks for your video.

    • @DMaker_builds
      @DMaker_builds  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      😃 That’s a trick! But I’m actually thinking about publishing a video on how to dismantle a pallet with simple tools. Thanks a lot! 👍

      @@DMaker_builds that would be useful. I'm using a crowbar only....good exercise! But need some tips. I don't want to buy anything electric. :)

    I want to make some crates like these except I can’t afford to buy all the specialist saws you use

    • @DMaker_builds
      @DMaker_builds  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi, you can make them all with hand saws. It takes longer but it’s possible. Go ahead and try it 👍

  • @aleshamunk1100
    @aleshamunk1100 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    About how long would you estimate that it takes to build an entire crate? Obviously you’ll be faster than most, but a rough guess would be helpful for planning a Saturday work flow. Thanks for the video! I can’t wait to get started!

    • @DMaker_builds
      @DMaker_builds  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, I would say around 3 hours for the first one, and then you can batch them and maybe reduce to half the time, if you're going to build more than one. I'm assuming for these calculations that you already have dismantled the pallets. Good luck! 😉👍

    Never use gloves when using power tools. If a blade grabs the gloves it will pull the gloves with your hand and it will do more damage than if you didn't have gloves on

    • @DMaker_builds
      @DMaker_builds  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Kevin. Thank you for your advice! Actually I'm not using gloves anymore when using power tools. 😉

    I have taken pallets apart before. How did you take them apart without damaging them? There could be a useful video on that subject alone.

    • @DMaker_builds

      Actually I have a video on how to dismantle a pallet. 😉

    Thanks for the helpful video. I realy like your crate design. I need crates for fruit, veg and jar storage. I'm thinking to do a range of heights.
    Is your crate size an industry standard size that would stack with other crates out there or a sensible size for you and you pallet wood size?

    • @DMaker_builds
      @DMaker_builds  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi, thanks. Actually this is not a standard size, it’s just a size that suits my pallet wood size. But you can adapt the size to any standard or to your own needs. 👍 😀

    What size brad nails did u use on the corner supports( the ones u cut at a 45)

    • @DMaker_builds
      @DMaker_builds  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi David, I used 15mm nails in the corners, which is around 5/8 inches.

      That tool is called a band clamp, you can find a similar one here: geni.us/n8i1 👍
