The strings weren’t the only thing grigor snapped that tournament, he also snapped a six year title-drought 💪😂😮
Dimitrov's overhead is insane
Yeah lmao and so accurate too 😮
Of course it is 😊
Nishikori,what a sportmanship from him 🤣.
Sampras was the biggest string breaker in the history of the game.
His strings broke FIVE times during that match against Agassi.
I think he played with 70 lbs?
@@radiohead2206 Yup 17 gauge natural gut at 70 pounds
Might as well change the title to Murray and the broken strings lol
I love these unique type of Tennis TV vids
murray the string popper...
What blows my mind is those strings are all brand new! It takes me 3 weeks of 3-times a week playing to break a string. These guys do it in a few hits. I know they string tight or whatever but dang they must hit hard!
Well, it’s a combination of hard hit and a heavy spin at the same time. More the spin, more strings are rubbing each other.
Also to consider atp pro’s use natural gut strings mostly, or a combination of natural gut and polyester. Natural gut lasts way less than polyester, and the cost is way higher.
3 times a week, 3 weeks for a polyester string is not a bad result tbh, it seems you have a decent snap.
When I play hard knocking matches it usually takes around 3 hrs to brake a string. But I’m used to play with 18-19 gauge which are quite thin. 1.15-1.20 mm, which is not quite durable obviously.
Played natural gut also. Amazing feel of the ball on a racket but lasts only an hour or so.
dimitrov and sampras were the goats
It's not fair for the referee to advise breaking the string. That was a break point.
I play full poly 16 gauge and have never broken a string with this setup. I've always cut it out before breakage.
I play full poly 15 gauge and break them every 3 weeks. And what I mean is they break during matches. I have yet found a string that will last more than 3 weeks if I’m playing 3 times a week. But I know many other players that use full poly and never break them.
have you tried kevlar strings?@@adamcravets5408
What was wrong with Dimitrov's strings? The humidity? Bad string? Bad string job? All the above?
Because of the string pattern. His racket has less cross strings than normal.
Hope, they change the rule to replay the point if the string breaks mid point
Meanwhile Mannarino is confused about why these silly people with their silly string breakages...
Seriously!!😂 he strings so low he’s practically fishing with a net!
An umpire telling a player he has a broken string is one of the most unprofessional things I've seen an umpire do.
Ain’t that deep
By the rules, you can’t start a point with a broken string. Umpire has the right to say it before the point.
1 like = pushup
Telling a player their string is broken should be a point penalty for the player immediately. Notice how practically none of them lost control with a broken string besides Djokovic too..... Skill issue 😂
why should the player be penalized if the umpire says something? they did nothing
@@isthatrubble it's effectively coaching a player. Which umpires should not be doing. It's up the player to notice it themselves

@@sdstewart87 again, why should the player be punished if the umpire does something they're not allowed to do? it's not the player's fault
@@isthatrubble same rule for when a coach does something they're not allowed to do, for example..... Coaching from their seat, and that effectively was coaching
What about kafelnikov and ivanisevic? Atp you need to search for more if you want i can doit for half a price ylu paid the person who edited your videos i have the pasion for the game and the knowledge
