Travis thank you brother for your help, everything went well with the application process. I sent the application and all the info DNR needed last week and this week I received my registration and title. Thank you brother again for your informative and very helpful video!!
WOW I have registered many kayaks in SC GASTON and it's never that easy they want so much more information than what you said in this video. I always had to bring in so much more paper work glad yours went so easy
I have heard this before. Wild! Everybody seems to have one thing in common: if you want it done the same day and no pushback, you almost have to go to Columbia.
Heck yeah man I need to do mine but wasn’t sure how to go about it because I bought it at academy and didn’t get a bill of sale. Keep us posted how it goes and thanks for the info brother!
I keep hearing that people can sometimes face issues with registering their kayaks. I have had a couple say that they are required to provide more and get their money order sent back. But I feel pretty good about this. I don't owe taxes, I had the SCDNR staff walk me through what I needed and followed every instruction that was provided to a t. I think I get my numbers back, however, if it goes sideways for any reason, I am driving to Columbia to do it in person on my next off day.
Awesome buddy. Thanks you for taking me for a ride with you to handle some business man . I enjoyed watching this . I like thinking like that man. I like how you handle your business in flip flops 🩴 like I have to do man. I Thought that I would say that because I had some one say to me ( MACK I worn my flip flops 🩴 for you because I know how you love flip flops 🩴& you didn't said anything about me wearing my flip flops 🩴? ) so I apologize but I thought that I would just say it . Not trying to make you mad or anything like that buddy .

I have so much footage from my vacation my computer being down. I am likely looking at next weekend. I have a tournament this weekend. I also want a few people to go out so scheduling with them is big too.
Hey brother thanks for the info I have a Pelican Bass Raider that I want to register and I have a few questions for you thats on the application you completed?
I'm in the Charleston area and on the application for the propulsion type what must be checked if I'm using a trolling motor and did you include 5% taxes with your application, dnr stated that it should be included. I'm new to this and boating the website wasn't much help.
@@kevincampbell4450 No worries. I didn't give any more than the $20 stated on teh application but if the DNR said to, I think I would and just write it in on the casua excise tax line for good measure. They will send back any extra funds. Once they start processing your application, you get an email and you can follow up on anything they need there. You want to use propeller on the Propulsion Type and select other for Engine Drive then write in the box 12v trolling motor. That should take care of it.
@@TravisDoesKayakFishing I have in the past for many reasons. No MSO/Bill of sale, incorrect fees, paperwork mistakes. An included typed and signed narrative of your situation definitely helps. One time it was returned by one person only to be accepted by another after speaking on the phone. I've got the system down now but it wasn't easy. You may get lucky.
I just realized who you are. I really appreciate you stopping by. I motorized my kayak and even bought the same wireless RF polarity switch from Gama because of you. I literally learned everything I know about motors and installing them on kayaks from watching your videos.
Received my replied via email today and I am approved. I plan to do a follow-up once the stickers arrive to go over the process but I must have gotten very luck on the first try.
Yeah they payout for the ads being watched all the way, but I don't worry about that. Skip them if they let you IMO. I make a good bit of my money from the TH-cam Premium Members that watch. Because they don't get ads, I get paid for what they would have watched.
No. I have been stopped on Hartwell once in four years and twice on Greenwood. The Hartwell stop was surprising as it was the dead of winter. I did't have a motor then so the check was fast.
Thanks for stopping by. Shoot me a comment if you are looking for more information or have information about the process.

Thanks for posting this. The instructions on DNR's site were not very clear to me. Looking forward to upgrading my yak with a trolling motor soon!
Thanks. I plan to follow up when the stickers come in. I was lucky enough to go and be get help as to what to do.

Thanks! I was having anxiety about this. Haha
It doesn't seem that bad. Still waiting on my stickers, but I was told that takes a while.
I've been trying to figure out how to do it thanks
