Suggestion for gr1-13. Lightlocke and any tank. It's actually insane, he outdamages my zelus and eona easily. I was stuck on gr1-12 until I brought in LL and he brought enough damage to take me straight to 18 in a day. Edit: Oh I see you mentioned him now.
i don't know if they changed something but I'm stuck on 1-12 with a 250k team (beyond recommended) and still can finish it, even with Lightlocke@@FrogginHawgs

Thank you! I was stuck on stage 10 because I don't really have many powerful mages and this worked like a charm. The team I used was Eona, Sadie, Dolores and Livian (all 5*), Lightlocke, Laurel, Marri and Nero (all 4* - and I just used Nero for the lord ability) and Narvi (3*). I followed what you said to do exactly and it worked on the first try so now I can at least auto farm a little legendary gear and progress in the storyline.
Hey Mabucket, may I suggest maybe a QnA video. I have a few questions and maybe you can answer them. Does Healing effect affect life steal and self heal? Which is better for Cost Regen heroes, reducing cost (rapidity gear) or Rage Regen? Does Valkyra's attack count as AOE attack? Does Lightlocke ultimate count as AOE attack? Does Regulus skill work on the wall?
Hey man I'll try to help with some of these questions. Healing effect is always better than heroes that scale with HP or Atk (Vortex for example). +86 healing provides more than HP bonus healing. Rage regen would be a preference depending on the heroes and situations, but this one is more so my opinion. Valkyra is definitely AOE damage and you can use the 18% bonus AOE gear for her. From my knowledge, Lightlocke is single target only that includes his ultimate. I don't own Regulus as yet so I won't attempt to answer that one, but if I had to guess it would be a yes on the wall. I appreicate you responding @ricosirju9759! - HP/ATK actually scales better than Healing Effect I have to disagree @ricosirju9759, my friend managed to workout the formula. Healing Effect increases the scaling of the target's HP and the healer's HP or ATK stat. So it's scaling off of what exists, maybe very early game Healing Effect is better I suppose - I put the -1 cost on the Cost heroes so I can deploy them a tiny bit faster, rage regen as a stat does not effect passive rage generation so it's not very useful for them. On other heroes I would always choose rage regen though - Yup Valk is AOE. - Lightlocke's ultimate should be AOE damage but I'm just assuming - That's a really interesting idea, it's incredibly hard to test but I assume not

I definitely trust and respect you both in this space but have to admit, your in depth analysis makes it easier to side with you on this particular matter.

I'll upload one tomorrow, I just beat it with Lightlocke in Yellow gear without Dolores :) With Dolores it would be a cake walk EDIT: Either way the strategies used in my Lightlocke run were already explained and described in this video so yeah, it's nothing new everything applies

I have some red gear accessories and all yellow proper atk% gear on all mages 6 stared Eona and I 6 started voltus and using Valkyra( also 6*) even gave lightlock a shot in full dmg gear with this team and added a friends Zelus (II.) and 13 is still impossible. this gotta be the most unbalanced GR. I guess I could have better crit but this supposed to be such an early game thing.. trying gatekeep red armor is super bad for the game... the gap seems crazy between Gr1 and rest of the GRS

Thank you so much! I was finally able to push through with the tank+Lightlocke combo! I used Ardeth (Esotericist) with HP-based aoe damage! I have basically no mages (Eona + Shamir) but I have an A3 Maul that was superb! Finally I can upgrade my entire game! 😊😊😊

I get stuck much earlier at 10. I get the same problem you had in test run without P2W heroes: get bashed through. I use Livian and Lightlocke, Abomination, Marri, Midan, Dalyn for team cost gain, Laurel, Niro and Voltus (Never got a better mage, sadly). 5 star all and cant get it done :/ Hope to see a f2p /easier attainable version
Yup! I'm a little harsh on him, he's okay I just don't like investing heavily into heroes that I don't use in other content at the start at least. But he should help! Lightlocke can definitely help clear through GR1, he won't get you to 18 by himself without some serious gear and a Dolores but he's fantastic to support :)

@@MaBucket I cleared it! Not with anything close to these strats but a backwards hitting Valk 6 star and Lightlocke 5 star helped me out a ton. I had to 5 star Osiren and Niro tho BUT the gear and set bonuses are worth it!
@@MaBucket it helped me a great deal. My melee array for single target arena is Wrath with Ares behind him and Valkyra behind both of em. In sustained arena when some get past wrath and end up killing Ares, she brings him back immediately so I stopped having a healer for that arena

I'd probably still go for Azhor due to his base stats (They must be higher, haven't checked) but either should be fine :)

Great question, I actually made a gr1-13 video with Lightlocke, I didn't have an Autumn so I used Nunea in the end. You could actually use both, not sure which would be better! My account is going well thanks, getting absolutely rubbish gear though saldy
My problem is I kinda got shafted with pulls for mages. For Lego's I pulled Torodor, Salazar, x2 Valerie, x2 Siramim (that crappy water mage), and Abomination. I have Eona as my only Mage AOE dps. I'm considering using AI just cause I'm desperate. And Lightlocke just so I can break into mythic gear grinds
Would have been more helpful for new players if you had started at an earlier stage like 8 or 9 where it gets more difficult. To be honest this doesn't help at all if you can't get past stage 9
19 is really hard right now, there is no way to reduce healing currently as the artifact is broken - you're best just overpowering with raw damage output, it's tough but you can get there with a good dolores and great gear
@@TheZ990 The artifact is not working, sadly. I've not tried Maul ult to interrupt and I'm not sure how to line up that ult to even hit her as she's out of his range?
I just can't seem to damage quick enough, I have Laseer, Eona and Voltus (granted they are all current 5 star) as my magic damage dealers with Abomination and Ardeth as my tanks. I have Lightlocke and Vortex as my healers and Narvis as my cost pumper. Ain as a Lord booster and Marri as my staller. I've tried this positioning, I've tried a similar set up trying to pump Lightlockes healing damage but when the boss turns up I get ran through.

You obviously just haven't tested Osiren vs Sylus much. I have both him and Sylus and use both. With both at 6/6 star, equal gear, Osiren actually deals more damage ( With both not awakened, and 4/5 skill ups on all). Just read his passive, it's massively better than Sylus, because yea sure it relies on enemies being below 50% hp - but if your struggling to have enough BP to beat this, that's gonna be like 100% of the time soon as you get some below 50%. Sure his stats are a tad lower as an epic, but his superior passive makes up for it. Anyways if you got both, use both. Your recommended positoning leaves the top slot for him, so he could hit both sides and that spot is safe so no need for heals. There very close on my final damage output, Osiren just wins by 5% or less, so im sure right different skill ups, or more awakenings, Sylus can pull ahead. But yea there are so close it makse no sense you hard recommend sylus, but not Osiren. And yea they are both equally useless in any other content, other than basic trial, where both can eliminate the big stack of heavy defenders with there ult. They are functionally identical except I think Sylus has +1 range so hits 2 more, but you can use just any cheap mage like Voltus to get the last 2 anyways, the boss will be out of there range to matter so you have tons of time to do so. Because Osirens ult cost is so much lower, he gets the job done on the important front line faster anyways. Or I think there is some way to boost his range perhaps with a artifact so it hits them all, not sure. But also ya your so OP for this, you may see lower numbers because you'll nuke them past the 50% to dead mark faster than players struggling with this., making Osiren's passive less effective.. But if your more or less on the cusp of winning, slowly melting mulitple waves down, His passive is mathematically and in practice, just much better than Sylus.
Yeah I think you're right, Osiren is better than I gave him credit - specifically in GR1. The reason I don't value Osiren is because I tested him in end-game gear in Stage18 compared to Eona and Greed, and Osiren was miles weaker than them. Though those tests were in isolation - so perhaps alongside a team Osiren is okay. But in general with Eona being so accessible I wouldn't recommend Osiren as he's useless everywhere else. But, who is Sylus? I'm assuming that's a name translation
@@gramash35 Ah in that case it's just wrong. Maybe there's a weird overlap but overall Zelus outperforms Osiren, also Zelus applies a great debuff that helps the team increasing the dmg output overall
What about if you dont have these heroes or the curse faction? Cause thus guide is for if you are very lucky with the pulls or you are p2w with pulls. Im lacking some aoe heroes
The dps in my video can be replaced by any dps - this video is about tactics and team composition which is important no matter what heroes you have. You have Marri, Narvi, you can fuse Livian and Lightlocke. Eona is a very cheap pack. If you don't have Eona or any AOE mage mentioned at the end when I covered every hero then yeah - you're out of luck and will need to wait. Otherwise you can 6* Lightlocke and use him with Dolores/Autumn and have Livian tanking

Will it be possible to clear the stages with only 5*50 epics and legendary champs without maxed skills + no awakening? I'm still stuck in the middle not at GR - 13, yet.
The video discusses starts for everything and replacable heroes to use. I've had a few people complaining that I had legendaries in the team I ususall use - so I beat GR1-13 using Lightlocke in yellow gear and even no Dolores. the moment when you realise that your issue is that you thought you got bless by RNG (salazar, elowyn hatssut) ... except you have no defender and you struggle on all thoses trial that make you get a chance to get epic gear...
What do you think of torodor as my defender? Only a week in to this game and pulled him over the weekend. His aoe stun seems good but he doesn't seem to be highly rated in general
it is just me or the monthly quest just got reset? i am currently in my 17th day sign in, yet my monthly sign in says it is day 1. my target is to get the legendary summon on day 25. and it goes back to day one just today
Yup yup, by being placed she'll boost allies attack by 10% when they cast their ultimate. Also if you can place her covering your allies, her ultimate will increase their rage regen to help get them up faster - really nice with mages :)
Hi, I am stuck on gr1 - 19 for a while now, I do not have vierna, morrigan or khamet. I tried to do it with ajax, leya, dolores, zelus and eona, but still did not manage to. I even tried to use the 4 star that regenerates rage upon death with valkirie to sacrifice her twice to get multiple ulties one after another, but still no luck :( Could you help me with this?
Assuming you're following decent placements, it's largely going to be a gear issue - I'd advise focusing on GR2 to gear your Ajax/Zelus up as best as you can first

All guides you do are based on leg heroes. How I pass g1-14 even if I have not a single aoe dps except eona. Yes not lucky. So I failed the game?! All this fancy leg are mages are cool.BUT If I don't have any?!
That is simply not true. In this video I explain how to use the epic heroes. I have a video for gr1-13 using a lightlocke strategy as well. GR1 is just a heavy DPS check, you can use whatever heroes you have at your dispoal to achieve that, but it is a dps check. Dolores, Laurel, Hollow etc are supporting heroes that can make a huge difference in progressing here. If you don't have the gear, focus on other GRs to farm up gear to make up for the lack of mages here. Abomination is a fusable legendary that deals good aoe damage and can do great in GR1 as well
@MaBucket I have, maxed a Osiren ,gave +9k atk and still 4k dmg each, I maybe wrong sorry if I'm, but without this shiny orange stuff in hero list it's semi impossible. About fusion, 2 of them are not obtainable by a finger click. And I avent pull unfusave stuff for over of 800 summons. - no aoe, no fuse maretial. No mage. So at this rate I should just zilutuxand calypso to strike for 300k/shot to kill fast waves?
These videos are entierly focused on discussing strategy. I did not have all my mages at the start when I initially progressed, nor on my old account when I beat it before. But I'm not going to delete my heroes just for videos. The entire video is focused on placement strategy and heroes to use.
Aeon in your team for sure, she's a Curse lord so will give stats and great damage amp to the team. But maybe I'd place Marri over placing Aeon - would be worth experimenting with both to see what works :)
Narvi can be naked unleveled, she's only there for passive cost gain. Autumn and Laurel just need to survive - so stick them in hp% gear and maybe max level them - but don't invest much in them at all. Their buffs don't need stats to work
@@MaBucket well I already maxed autumn and narvi skills. Rare stuff about useless for me now so it’s all good. When you say max level do you mean just keep them at 3 and 4 star?

its such bullshit that they have changed these gear raids now and everything is different so its hard for content creators to go back and figure out a strategy for beating them because everything they have is super over powered for it so no guides would really be good for it

The Fatality Gear Set is really good for dropping the defence of the enemy.
It helped me do way more damage .

I get stuck much earlier at 10. I get the same problem you had in test run without P2W heroes: get bashed through. I use Livian and Lightlocke, Abomination, Marri, Midan, Dalyn for team cost gain, Laurel, Niro and Voltus (Never got a better mage, sadly).

you can hit first wall monsters form every tile because whall dont take whole middle tile but let monsters step up on it.

Yup! I'm a little harsh on him, he's okay I just don't like investing heavily into heroes that I don't use in other content at the start at least. But he should help!
Lightlocke can definitely help clear through GR1, he won't get you to 18 by himself without some serious gear and a Dolores but he's fantastic to support :)

@@MaBucket I cleared it! Not with anything close to these strats but a backwards hitting Valk 6 star and Lightlocke 5 star helped me out a ton. I had to 5 star Osiren and Niro tho BUT the gear and set bonuses are worth it!
Valkyrie can instantly resurrect a downed hero too, say your blocking tank goes down, she can bring them back up instantly to full health.
True that could help quite a bit!
@@MaBucket it helped me a great deal. My melee array for single target arena is Wrath with Ares behind him and Valkyra behind both of em.
In sustained arena when some get past wrath and end up killing Ares, she brings him back immediately so I stopped having a healer for that arena

Baron is incredible, I've actually heard great things about Aveline recently too with her high block value and solid awakenings. I'd probably still go for Azhor due to his base stats (They must be higher, haven't checked) but either should be fine :)

Great question, I actually made a gr1-13 video with Lightlocke, I didn't have an Autumn so I used Nunea in the end. You could actually use both, not sure which would be better!

My problem is I kinda got shafted with pulls for mages. For Lego's I pulled Torodor, Salazar, x2 Valerie, x2 Siramim (that crappy water mage), and Abomination. I have Eona as my only Mage AOE dps. I'm considering using AI just cause I'm desperate. And Lightlocke just so I can break into mythic gear grinds
Lightlocke outdamages my zelus and eona, and he isn't even in great gear. Gear him like a DPS and put those chunky guys out front.

Would have been more helpful for new players if you had started at an earlier stage like 8 or 9 where it gets more difficult. To be honest this doesn't help at all if you can't get past stage 9

Need some aoe with that zelus heal reduction artifact, or freeze shark to interrupt heal skill cast
19 is really hard right now, there is no way to reduce healing currently as the artifact is broken - you're best just overpowering with raw damage output, it's tough but you can get there with a good dolores and great gear

I just can't seem to damage quick enough, I have Laseer, Eona and Voltus (granted they are all current 5 star) as my magic damage dealers with Abomination and Ardeth as my tanks. I have Lightlocke and Vortex as my healers and Narvis as my cost pumper. Ain as a Lord booster and Marri as my staller.
I've tried this positioning, I've tried a similar set up trying to pump Lightlockes healing damage but when the boss turns up I get ran through.

Focus atk%, pick-up cr% in the subs. cdmg is 3rd priority and only really useful once cr is over 90%

With exp boost farming exp raid is not a bad idea, getting heroes to 6* and max promotion makes a huge difference

You obviously just haven't tested Osiren vs Sylus much. I have both him and Sylus and use both. With both at 6/6 star, equal gear, Osiren actually deals more damage ( With both not awakened, and 4/5 skill ups on all). Just read his passive, it's massively better than Sylus, because yea sure it relies on enemies being below 50% hp - but if your struggling to have enough BP to beat this, that's gonna be like 100% of the time soon as you get some below 50%. Sure his stats are a tad lower as an epic, but his superior passive makes up for it. Anyways if you got both, use both. Your recommended positoning leaves the top slot for him, so he could hit both sides and that spot is safe so no need for heals.
There very close on my final damage output, Osiren just wins by 5% or less, so im sure right different skill ups, or more awakenings, Sylus can pull ahead. But yea there are so close it makse no sense you hard recommend sylus, but not Osiren.
And yea they are both equally useless in any other content, other than basic trial, where both can eliminate the big stack of heavy defenders with there ult. They are functionally identical except I think Sylus has +1 range so hits 2 more, but you can use just any cheap mage like Voltus to get the last 2 anyways, the boss will be out of there range to matter so you have tons of time to do so. Because Osirens ult cost is so much lower, he gets the job done on the important front line faster anyways. Or I think there is some way to boost his range perhaps with a artifact so it hits them all, not sure.
But also ya your so OP for this, you may see lower numbers because you'll nuke them past the 50% to dead mark faster than players struggling with this., making Osiren's passive less effective.. But if your more or less on the cusp of winning, slowly melting mulitple waves down, His passive is mathematically and in practice, just much better than Sylus.
Yeah I think you're right, Osiren is better than I gave him credit - specifically in GR1.
The reason I don't value Osiren is because I tested him in end-game gear in Stage18 compared to Eona and Greed, and Osiren was miles weaker than them. Though those tests were in isolation - so perhaps alongside a team Osiren is okay. But in general with Eona being so accessible I wouldn't recommend Osiren as he's useless everywhere else.
But, who is Sylus? I'm assuming that's a name translation

Maybe there's a weird overlap but overall Zelus outperforms Osiren, also Zelus applies a great debuff that helps the team increasing the dmg output overall

What about if you dont have these heroes or the curse faction? Cause thus guide is for if you are very lucky with the pulls or you are p2w with pulls. Im lacking some aoe heroes
The dps in my video can be replaced by any dps - this video is about tactics and team composition which is important no matter what heroes you have.
You have Marri, Narvi, you can fuse Livian and Lightlocke. Eona is a very cheap pack. If you don't have Eona or any AOE mage mentioned at the end when I covered every hero then yeah - you're out of luck and will need to wait.
Otherwise you can 6* Lightlocke and use him with Dolores/Autumn and have Livian tanking

Defenders can only block 3 enemies at a time, so you need to place them at just the right time so that they block him

What do you think of torodor as my defender? Only a week in to this game and pulled him over the weekend. His aoe stun seems good but he doesn't seem to be highly rated in general
Torodor is great, I rate him pretty highly on my tier list. His lord benefit alone is fantastic
it is just me or the monthly quest just got reset? i am currently in my 17th day sign in, yet my monthly sign in says it is day 1. my target is to get the legendary summon on day 25. and it goes back to day one just today

Yup yup, by being placed she'll boost allies attack by 10% when they cast their ultimate. Also if you can place her covering your allies, her ultimate will increase their rage regen to help get them up faster - really nice with mages :)

Hi, I am stuck on gr1 - 19 for a while now, I do not have vierna, morrigan or khamet. I tried to do it with ajax, leya, dolores, zelus and eona, but still did not manage to. I even tried to use the 4 star that regenerates rage upon death with valkirie to sacrifice her twice to get multiple ulties one after another, but still no luck :( Could you help me with this?
Assuming you're following decent placements, it's largely going to be a gear issue - I'd advise focusing on GR2 to gear your Ajax/Zelus up as best as you can first

All guides you do are based on leg heroes. How I pass g1-14 even if I have not a single aoe dps except eona. Yes not lucky. So I failed the game?! All this fancy leg are mages are cool.BUT If I don't have any?!
That is simply not true. In this video I explain how to use the epic heroes. I have a video for gr1-13 using a lightlocke strategy as well.
GR1 is just a heavy DPS check, you can use whatever heroes you have at your dispoal to achieve that, but it is a dps check. Dolores, Laurel, Hollow etc are supporting heroes that can make a huge difference in progressing here.
If you don't have the gear, focus on other GRs to farm up gear to make up for the lack of mages here. Abomination is a fusable legendary that deals good aoe damage and can do great in GR1 as well

Osiren ,gave +9k atk and still 4k dmg each, I maybe wrong sorry if I'm, but without this shiny orange stuff in hero list it's semi impossible.
About fusion, 2 of them are not obtainable by a finger click. And I avent pull unfusave stuff for over of 800 summons.

These videos are entierly focused on discussing strategy. I did not have all my mages at the start when I initially progressed, nor on my old account when I beat it before. But I'm not going to delete my heroes just for videos. The entire video is focused on placement strategy and heroes to use.

Aeon in your team for sure, she's a Curse lord so will give stats and great damage amp to the team. But maybe I'd place Marri over placing Aeon - would be worth experimenting with both to see what works :)

I have narvi, autumn, and laurel. What levels should I take them too and should I use all 3? I’ll be starting this trial at lvl 13
Narvi can be naked unleveled, she's only there for passive cost gain.
Autumn and Laurel just need to survive - so stick them in hp% gear and maybe max level them - but don't invest much in them at all. Their buffs don't need stats to work

i dont have even 1 decent mage at all after 300 pull as f2p player (only got nauvra, marri and shamir). gear raid 1 is never going to happen for me

its such bullshit that they have changed these gear raids now and everything is different so its hard for content creators to go back and figure out a strategy for beating them because everything they have is super over powered for it so no guides would really be good for it

No thier not 6 star , and max skilled up but the critters destroy the wall so fast, 6star isn't gonna matter.
I think they buffed the levels. I would have to 6star every heroe and skill them up... I would hate to do all that just for one stage of the game.
