I like that he has stealth and a range 4 attack. I feel like a lot of characters with stealth top out at range 3 attacks which kinda negates the advantage of stealth.
His leadership looks cool and . . . well, ninjas! . . . But I think he would slot into defenders quite nicely. Strange can boost his defense and Matt can use the portals to isolate and eliminate a pesky backfield control or support piece by tailoring his attack type to their weakness. Plus he's tough enough to probably make it out again.
New to the game thanks for the consistent well thought info..... also where do you go at the beginning and end of your videos you always walk to the right.... do you keep snacks over there ...
An evil Daredevil just feels weird. But...I like the shenanigans you can do if you have Daredevil and Elektra. Activate one, use the Ninja Vanish ability, then activate the other later to bring the ninjas right back along with that free attack.
Yeah, that part is a bit odd, but I’ve really been enjoying him on the table, and there has always been an appeal to a fundamentally good guy trying to run the evil organization to be less evil. The Arrow show, and Red Hood from DC are a couple of other instance that come to mind where I enjoyed it.
I have been messing with SDD quite a bit. Kraven feels great with him. He is my first pick when I choose my squad. I like my pet character Green Goblin quite a lot with him to give him a better chance to get a wild on its pumpkin bomb. Feels good to get him out of Spider Foes. And with Green Goblin I bring Doc Ock with Well Laid Plan. He doesnt mind the extra reroll because if he gets a wild thats double value. I have not tried it yet, but Crystal seems interesting since she can attack 3 times in a same turn and has a beam that incinerate and has a innate reroll with Inhuman
Another interesting possibility this character brings is the Shuriken Arashi tactics card which can give him a devastating alpha strike from his Coordinated-Strike/Hand Ninjas combo totaling 19 attack dice with a possible 3 rerolls and before criticals for 2 power if the enemy can’t short move behind cover. Or simply get an extra 10 dice attack at a back line character within 3 of the ninjas. It takes some forethought to use properly, but could be devastating.
Also if he hasn’t moved this turn and an enemy is still in range, he can follow up with another builder/ninjas combo(because the ninjas disappear after the Shuriken card) for another 9 dice of attacks and bring the ninjas back into play. You could even top it all off with Twist the Knife(5 dice for two power) from the Cruelty tactics card for a total of 33 attack dice(39 including rerolls if he’s attacking objective holders)in one activation, which I reckon would make him one of the greatest single round damage dealers in the game for 4 power total, which he can feasibly generate in the middle of all of this.
Add on top of this team abilities like Kraven’s Expert Tracker power for 6 more attack dice across the combo(for 45 total with rerolls), Baron Mordo’s Ferocity of Cyttorak for 2 more attack dice on the Hand Ninjas for no downside(because they have 2 stamina), the Blind Obsession tactics card(which applies to Shuriken Arashi because it is Daredevil’s attack even though LOS is drawn from the ninjas) or the Bitter Rivals tactic card and the incinerate special condition. Shadowlands Daredevil could easily KO a Hulk or Daze entire teams of clumped up characters with average dice.
Thanks for the video! My top 3 characters would be quicksilver, modok and mystic. I think modok can still hit many targets with his big attack which means lots of extra rerolls! Mystique has that rapid fire (although so does moon knight and at R4🧐) and i think quicksilver has a better chance going “infinite” with some rerolls. Put zemo mext to him and always in R2 and you got a KO’s few modes maybe :) lol
I think they are a good compromise of not having to deal with activation spam, while still having the thematic element of bringing in goons to back up their bosses or at least buy them some time.
Another really good analysis! It seems that DD+Hand is a little better than Fury+Shield agents, but that may be just a question of playstyle. My suggested top 3 characters to try with Shadowlands DD: Winter Soldier Baron Zemo Vision HM: Rocket
I’m thinking Scarlett witch, Corvus w/ reality to make use of skulls & use rerolls on other results than skulls & probably vision as his beam is amazing
How do you think he would do in Dark Dimension? He would have access to easy power and bringing the ninjas in and out for help with extracts would be great.
I think between the two grunt types I would go with Fury if you are looking for grunts to help with extracts, mostly because Daredevil isn’t going to be able to spend all the power Dormammu is handing out.
I think they are a good compromise of not having to deal with activation spam, while still having the thematic element of bringing in goons to back up their bosses or at least buy them some time.
I really like him and think his crime syndicate leadership is great. Personally I was thinking of adding Nick fury to my brotherhood list just to have a bit more options for leadership.
i think SLDD teams will be a good place for The Punisher to shine as he has guaranteed rapid fire and grunt being KOd feeding him dice as well as his blood red and personal TTC working on enemy grunts will feed out VPs. Still hoping they buff OG Dare evil tho.
Punisher is currently in my squad, Winter Solider stole his spotlight the last time I played a game, but I’m excited to see what Frank can pull off. Yeah I wouldn’t mind a second rebalance look at some of the less than whelming characters like the original DD.
I don’t think they could go too crazy with the CS cards considering how strong Kingpin is as well, but I am happy to have a couple more cards added to the lineup.
@@TheGamersGuild True. That’s why I’m interested in your Elektra video as I don’t see any cards there that inspire me to take her for CS as a 4-threat when SLDD can already bring in the grunts
Man…. I really don’t know his durability fits with Kingpins strategy. I guess he could be cool with Midnight Sons or Wakanda since he isn’t really worried about power.
I think the hand ninjas are going to be really strong in kingpin since hes already about objective play and wants cheap mooks. That means giving up a second leadership but I think it still has play.
I think they are a good compromise of not having to deal with activation spam, while still having the thematic element of bringing in goons to back up their bosses or at least buy them some time.
I think he will see play and be a good out character for the Kingpin lead CS teams when the objectives don’t line up for Kingpins leadership and they switch to a more attrition style game plan.
Too bad his model is so ordinary compared to the original one. Those ninjas look sweet tho. They could have some common theme, like some more smoke on Matt's model. To visualise his vanish ability maybe?
My favorite two heroes to splash into SLDD have been ultron and red skull. daredevil loves having some range 4 turrets to support him. Daredevil and red skull are fast becoming BFF’s in my list. Daredevil loves red skulls teleport because it fixes his only weakness (not having free moves/teleports) and red skull loves having the ninjas around for hail hydra. It really is a match made in heaven and I suggest everyone try them out. I also believe that daredevil is better in red skulls leadership and vice versa. Daredevil loves the extra power generation from the cabal leadership and red skull benefits massively from daredevils leadership. I really cant see myself not taking these two heroes together. Other characters that have done really well with him have been black panther and killmonger. As for tactics cards I feel like climbing gear is the best card that daredevil he can take, being able to do a builder into deamons devastation is so essential on some turns that the 3 power is worth it for the move. Also i have learned that sometimes using ninja vanish is a trap. Learning when you want the ninjas to fight and when you just want to have them hold an extract and stay way in the back is still a work in progress.
Wow, i think he looks awesome. And the artwork on the injured side ist on top!
I'm new to MCP, so I really appreciate these reviews and build ideas!
Welcome to the game! I’m a bit biased at this point but it’s a fantastic one.
Thanks, I was waiting for your review before deciding to pick this one up.
I like that he has stealth and a range 4 attack. I feel like a lot of characters with stealth top out at range 3 attacks which kinda negates the advantage of stealth.
Yeah there are a few out there now, and stealth plus his radar sense is going to make him quite the durable individual.
After your review, I’ll be putting this group together and trying them out as soon as I can.
Haha yes do it!!!
Great breakdown. Can’t wait to get mine painted up.
Picked these guys up recently and will have to get them on the table soon.
Daredevil is so much fun! Have a good time with him!
Just picked up this box can't wait to build it. Love the review.

Good summary video, Nate.
Thanks! He is one I’m really excited about.
looking forward to see him on the table
I can’t say much about his abilities, but the model and especially the ninjas look sweet!
Sin, Omega Red and Mysterio are 3 I'd like to try with SLDD. He's definitely got me looking at Syndicate
Nice! Not sold on Omega Red, but I’ll give him a spin.
New to the game thanks for the consistent well thought info..... also where do you go at the beginning and end of your videos you always walk to the right.... do you keep snacks over there ...
Not yet, but now…. Maybe
I'd like to pair that leadership with M.O.D.O.K. and Doomsday Chair.
Ooohhh that’s a fun one
Super stoked for this model. Og daredevil model and card never did it for me
I’m a fan of build around leaderships, so this DD is definitely calling to me 😂

Well thanks to the Crystal suggestion I tried her and loved the work she did for me on Demons! Kraven will be the next experiment.

Oh man QS wasn’t even on my radar… that could be fun…
I might get this im not sure if I like the grunt mechanic though
I think they are a good compromise of not having to deal with activation spam, while still having the thematic element of bringing in goons to back up their bosses or at least buy them some time.
I hope they do more alternative evil versions of the Heroes like this
I would love to see a norman led Dark Avengers team!
@@TheGamersGuild The Superior Spider-Man would be one I'd like to see added
Another really good analysis! It seems that DD+Hand is a little better than Fury+Shield agents, but that may be just a question of playstyle.
My suggested top 3 characters to try with Shadowlands DD:
Winter Soldier
Baron Zemo
Vision
HM: Rocket
Vision could be crazy good. And I bet it’s a playstyle thing because Fury’s Agents are quite potent at the extract game.

Really I'd be using the reroll to help fish for those wild triggers. MODOK, Mysterio, and Sabertooth could be fun with DD
Ooohhh and all are in affiliation, guess it’s time I put some paint on the fish bowl
I think Captain America (Sam Wilson) and Winter Soldier would be a fun package to run with SLDD
Can confirm WS is great. Might need to give Sam a spin.
While I don't think I'll be playing SDD soon, I am excited to see who else gets grunts. Super Skrull with skrull agents would be cool.
Man so many possibilities! Doombots, AIM Beekeepers, a Ronan led Kree strike team. I’m excited!
I'm still not sold on grunts. I do like the minis tho gota give it to amg they made some cool looking models.
I think they are a good compromise of not having to deal with activation spam, while still having the thematic element of bringing in goons to back up their bosses or at least buy them some time.
Deadpool seems like a clear contender. He already plays well with Kingpin, and rerolls for every BANG! he does will be great.
Oh man…. I didn’t even think of that… yeah that’s going into the list
Gives criminals so much more flexibility
I really like him and think his crime syndicate leadership is great. Personally I was thinking of adding Nick fury to my brotherhood list just to have a bit more options for leadership.

The hand do just look awesome. And love the Elektra model but a bit disappointed with their tactics cards compared the SHIELD’s

@@TheGamersGuild True. That’s why I’m interested in your Elektra video as I don’t see any cards there that inspire me to take her for CS as a 4-threat when SLDD can already bring in the grunts
Any idea on an out of affiliation shadowland daredevil, who do you think he would be best with and would it be worth taking him there?
Man…. I really don’t know his durability fits with Kingpins strategy. I guess he could be cool with Midnight Sons or Wakanda since he isn’t really worried about power.
I think a swarm of low thread brawlers could be work really well with his leadership ability.
I’ve got a list coming out Friday that squeezes every bit of value out of his leadership. It’s a bit janky, but fun.
I think the hand ninjas are going to be really strong in kingpin since hes already about objective play and wants cheap mooks. That means giving up a second leadership but I think it still has play.
Nijas might be cool, but what about pirate ninjas?
What… there is no such thing 😂
Still not sure how I feel about grunts, I do like DD though.
I think they are a good compromise of not having to deal with activation spam, while still having the thematic element of bringing in goons to back up their bosses or at least buy them some time.
Modok, x-23, killmonger
Ohh Killmonger is spicy, might have to try that out and see what kind of work he can put in.
How impactful do you think this character will be in the meta?
I think he will see play and be a good out character for the Kingpin lead CS teams when the objectives don’t line up for Kingpins leadership and they switch to a more attrition style game plan.
Too bad his model is so ordinary compared to the original one. Those ninjas look sweet tho. They could have some common theme, like some more smoke on Matt's model. To visualise his vanish ability maybe?
That would of been a great way to tie the models together! Hmmm now how good am I with Green Stuff?
