3. Invest in other modes (make pro clubs fun again, introduce a coop manager career mode you can do with friends)

its crazy how so many of us actually care about this game. im sure you notice it as well, the content about the idea of the game being changed through a community revolution has been more enjoyable to watch than any actual gameplay/packs/rewards! you can see yourself the incline of viewage on this topic has attracted more views than other videos. that ALONE shows that bringing this conversation to the table is WORKING.

I’m 35. I’ve been playing FIFA since FIFA ‘97. Had a small Hiatus in winning eleven now (PES) in high school circa 03-07. Came back to Fifa in college in ‘07 and bought a ps4 just to play with R9 in Fifa’ 11 with Corinthians. Between the tornado mess in FIFA ‘19 and EAFC 24 these two installments have been an absolute embarrassment. Started getting into ultimate team in Fifa ‘17 because of weekend league and legends. I am now contemplating buying a PC just to use icons and hero’s because I want to play with them. I have to resort to buying a pc and playing career mode just to make this happen. Do nba2k players need to do this to play with Kobe and Shaq??!! The last fifa I played thoroughly was FIFA ‘22 and had fun because it was attainable to get r9 and Zidane. Went back to school to get my masters, so haven’t had the time to play the last two years as much as I wanted since I was so busy. Can’t believe the downfall of FIFA. We all saw this coming and now I am resorting to just play career mode and buying a PC. It’s unplayable. Just to get a fix I’ve been playing seasons online because i don’t want to spend the time or money to play with good players/icons.
The power curve is crazy. If you miss one to two weeks of play, your team becomes outdated. EA has created this unhealthy fear of missing out. A lot of gamers just want to hop on and play competitively without having to spend hours and effort to be back on track.

I actually disagree. It’s super easy to get tons of low rated fodder and along the way packing some usable promo cards. There’s exchanges for a reason and that’s due to excessive cards being granted. You can take time off and pack a useable card that’s just as good or even worse than last few promo cards. The game is very easy for casuals to get into competitive modes but hard enough to create the top 1%

This is the exact reason I don’t play Destiny 2 anymore. Who has time to spend weeks grinding to catch up just to then get set back even more because you don’t want to pay to catch up faster.
Depends how good you are at the game power curve is an excuse , you can’t justify me beating your main team with Hegerberg Veerman Teze Balotelli in my team while your whole team is your go too

Scripting/momentum call it what you will. It has to go! It's SO frustrating being in the lead for most of the match, but then in the last ten minutes your players can't control the ball, dribble or make a pass, so you're just waiting for the opponent to equalise through a 30 yard shot with their weak foot. You can see it coming every time. Do not tell me scripting/momentum is not a thing. It's disgusting. No skill gap anymore.
but that is not the main problem, thats in the game since literally the start even in the best era of fifa where 90% of the community was happy.
But I think it's even worse this year with the random ping pong balls always coming back to them till they score

What we want from EA.
1. Consistent high level intelligent game play.
2. Less store packs (keep the regular promos)
3. Allow us more freedom to create in our teams and stadium atmosphere (kits, boots, stadium creation, celebrations, a created player that you can upgrade with evo's and individual performance rewards)
4. Better rewards for consistent play and better objectives.
This exactly and it seems like maybe these guys don't even agree with that last one. The best players should get better rewards, that's fine. But they make it sound like the best guys are the only ones that should get good cards and I couldn't disagree more. I'm ok but not great at the game. If I put 100 hours in I should still be within a stones throw of the top guys team wise because otherwise why should I even play. If all the good cards only go to the best players who are already better than 99% of people then how in tf is anyone else even supposed to have a chance when playing them.

The biggest thing in the gameplay is that people depend solely on their AI to tackle and make interceptions. If you try controlling all your players it’s worse. The game forces you to stop switching players and trust that the AI will do their thing. And when players run down the wing, there is just this feeling that if you miss the tackle with your Full Back, you will get scored on. IT’S RIDICULOUS
You get penalised for actively defending, what a joke of a game
Biggest thing for me is to fix the servers. I hated logging into the game just to have to restart it to do anything from an sbc to mixing up my starting lineup.
All we need is mainstream media coverage to reach as many casuals as possible

Angry Joe is the perfect guy to start with, he hates EA so much with what they do to Madden. Getting people in the general news and info industry and not just the FIFA community is how you start change. Get Phil Defranco talking about it. Get news stations talking about it. Reach out to younger gov officials and talk with them about it. It’s literally hurting the American economy that microtransactions exist. It’s putting money directly into a board of directors’ pockets with basically no cost to them, no value to the consumer, and no regulations on them.
I played FIFA yesterday. When I tell you that it was the most clumsy, unplayable, shit game I've played in a while is an understatement. I have a 91 rated team, nothing crazy, but my opponent had R9 and Pele. Both of our players looked like 9yo girls playing football for the first time. It was painful. No one could score. In the 80th minute, I scored an OG and quit. I really hope they fix this because I'm tired of playing with bronze players in May...

Nick - I think talking about pack weight and cosmetics is a completely different conversation. It doesn't matter what EA does unless the gameplay is there. If you get Mbappe TOTS - it doesn't matter b/c gameplay is shit. Just focus on 5-10 gameplay fixes and direct communication with EA. Make a short, concise list. Every content creator is delivering 10-20 minute responses with what they want to do, and while it is better than remaining silent, it is not going to take this anywhere. Get every creator who wants to boycott EA to post the list of 5-10 requests, and say they will not do x,y, and z until the conditions are met. You have to keep it clear, concise, and consistent to get this to work amongst all participating creators. You need to make a post about the list, and get the community to provide feedback until you get a finalized product. Get community feedback to refine the list. Get everyone involved.
Bro I miss fifa 15 when we only had totw, Toty, tots, motm, futties. Not all these promos, this meant that a majority of our players wouldn’t be outdated every 2 weeks
But then if EA go back to that then there will be a whole bunch of people complaining about the lack of content.
The majority of players aren't becoming outdated every 2 weeks. I bought Thunderstruck Loftus Cheek back in November and he's still decent enough to this day. Most of the cards from the Future Stars promo are still viable. The problem is just because a card doesn't have 5 star skills or weak foot and doesn't have completely maxed out stats you people think they are outdated. A midfielder can have 83+ all stats and people will call it mid just because it doesn't have 90+ pace and may lack one or two playstyles lmao.
I'm 1 hour into the video. There's some problems that we still need to address. Problem that are E-A-S-Y to fix. Someone leaving at 0-0; 1-1; 2-2 etc... Whoever left got the loss, the other just played all this time for NOTHING. That's easy to fix. In Clubs, this doesn't happen, in normal seasons, this doesn't happen. So why does it happen in UT? Another one, draws in rivals. What's the point? Just make it go straight to pens, I'd rather loose the game than draw the game. At least there's an outcome to this game, we didn't play for 15 minutes for nothing. Pens are 50/50, you will win and loose 50% of the time.

I got banned for this very reason.. someone did this to me when I was coming back 3-3 then he quits in 80th min. That made me toxic and I was using profanity to the other player... Got banned for it.. I then gave a ticket to EA saying (in short) "i deserve the ban for being toxic I don't want anything to do with that, if he is abusing the system he deserves a ban too, this is toxic and shouldn't be acceptable" ... But all EA replied to me is "we think the action taken towards your ban is justified and we do not have any intention to change that" ... They didn't address anything I actually wanted to be done. I haven't been playing since then ... It's been a month or more.

My biggest problems with fifa/FC are 1. Extortionately Priced Store Packs
2. The Glitchy Menus, And the constant crashing
3. The inconsistent gameplay from game to game

EA's main goal for this series is to implement the most abusive, dark-pattern predatory microtransaction elements to make enough revenue every year to satisfy shareholders. Just recently EA flew out almost every creator for the small Need For Speed community to visit Criterion and help them develop the next game. They have the systems in place, there's no reason or excuse not to do the same for the football releases, but they know that creating a fun experience directly contradicts their goals. They. Do. Not. Care. Stop. Playing. These. Games. That is the only way they will give up and pivot to a redesign.
All for the revolution as the game is not even a shadow of what it once was. At the same time, streamers were what started the issue with microtransactions being the driver of the game. This applies for almost every game with microtrans. Happy to see nick and co taking accountability and now demanding change.
Microtransactions needs to be classed as Gambling in all Countries and regulated as such. If that was the case EA would HAVE to change the core of the game. - - A little handshake from EA to TH-cam and Twitch and this will be shut down. I admire your love for the game and your efforts, however it will go nowhere. The only way EA or any other game with microtransactions will change is if people speak with their wallets, and , unfortunately, that wont happen either.
Honestly, if we contacted our federal government representatives they could table a bill to go after EA

They had a loot crate system that was so disgusting that the federal government sued EA and got them to change it. When call of duty infinite warfare came out. Its loot box system was so bad the government had hearings on micro transactions. We just need to replicate that for FC24 and we will get what we want. It’s honestly not as hard as people think it is.
@oyziryhs1303 even in a country like Belgium they're impossible to regulate even when illegal. 90% of new games being released in Belgium still have loot boxes anyway.
In a lot of countries Loot boxes can only be classed as gambling if there is financial gain, its not that easy to illegalise them. Even in countries where they're banned they're still very popular amongst all games. It's a stage where it's very very difficult to regulate

Another point that I would like to add is that they need to also take care of career mode. So much features were removed from their original career modes that its such a basic mode that it's just boring. You have my support Nick!
All good things come to an end! Honestly there is no solution tbh,the only solution is quitting, I know everyone in here loves FIFA like me but trust me just don’t buy it again. I didn’t play Ultimate team for 5+ years and it didn’t make a slight difference to my life. I Jumped back on in the last couple years and spent thousands of pounds and trust me it wasn’t worth it at all. This is what I would do. I'm not a Fifa content creator, but I am a creator that plays fifa since 20 years+. I would stop giving special cards and return to the special boost to any player you whant. Let me explain. You play weekend league and if you get rank 1, you get an evolution to any player you want with small boost in stats you choose. Also, I would do that player raitings are always live based on their current performance every month, that way a 90+ could get down, and a 83 could eventually go to a 90+. That way you would be changing squads based on fandom and live results.
Also, yo could train players in your squad, like in carrer mode. Now, for EA to still make money, I will give store packs with special cards or special evolutions with more stats, in the end, you pay for save time. But it the end, people could get eventually there without spending money. Ofc every evolution or stats boost resets every month, and every promo will bring diferent stats boosts, so it must be controlled. And finally, I will add that if your oponnent disconnects from the match, you get the win. That would be my ideas to try to make the game better, more fun, competitive, and profitable for EA. 1. Fix the servers - make the players responsive to what you actually press on your controller. Tone down animations and random events.
2. Fix the menus - make them as responsive and smooth as an iphone
3. Tone down any code for script and SBMM. We get it, it’s here to stay, but don’t make it so aggressive or obvious.
4. Stop with the BS megapacks that cost 50+ dollars. Don’t ever have a day of content where store packs are content. We’d rather have no content.
5. Give much much much more detailed and truthful probabilities for packs.
6. Reward the grinders. If someone goes 20-0 in champs, make the rewards worth it. If you want us to play BS modes for 20 full games, make sure the reward isn’t always the same discard promo card.
7. Be more active. If you have Mbappe or VVD that has been extinct on the market for a week, go press that button to increase their prince range.
I’d have 10 more but they are more personal opinions. I feel like these would have the majority of the people backing.

My biggest problem outside of gameplay has been how quickly everyone had good players.
The first few months of the game are usually the best when youre using like gold Malen, or Hwang Hee Chan. That phase of the game passed so quickly this year, most people had teams they were happy with by January.
There's nothing to grind towards if youre satisfied with your team after Christmas. The Icon picks were a big part of that i think.
I want to be using up to 86 rated players until around Christmas.
If these kinds of topics are covered more frequently, I'm certain changes could be made. You are in great positions to speak for our community, and I thank you guys for leading the way 👏 👏 👏

Love the idea of hosting a weekly hour discussion with a couple of creators and a guest from ‘the other side of the fence’ to help construct a dialogue with EA Sports. But you’ll never get an EA dev on. They’ll be restricted by NDA’s and their job will be at risk.
However, 1,500+ jobs have been lost from the games industry in the last year or two so there may well be many unemployed devs willing to join in these discussions to explain the dev angle. There will be games journalists that are probably willing to discuss what they’d been told from anonymous sources. There should be esport pros that can share their thoughts. There are probably many with insider knowledge that would be happy to help construct a conversation because it may very well save jobs in the future.
But ultimately it’s hosting a discussion that will help those that matter listen. It needs to be balanced and consider all the perspectives. It can’t be all rage all the time because it’s such an easy argument for the money makers to ignore. “Look at how angry they are and look at how much money we make. They. Don’t. Matter.” You can’t fuel that easy out.

Hey Nick great video as always, and again I'm leaving another comment just because again I love supporting your content I've been a viewer for the years you've been doing this even though I stopped playing FIFA years ago I love how passionate you are about this game and the fact that you're one of the few creators is actually got the balls to call out yay for what they've been doing for all these years and also the ball to call out the community cuz one thing that does disappoint me about the FIFA community is that they never actually stand up or take action and that's been the case for like a decade now because honestly the last good FIFA was probably FIFA 14 if we are being honest and unfortunately the community is never unified and we see for example recently with what happened with helldivers too for example when Sony announced the whole PSN account linking for PC players we saw the action that the PC players were able to take and they basically went and massed down forwarded the game and all sorts of things and they just started a whole campaign online and they forced Sony to basically backtrack on that decision with regards to hell divers too now Sony still going to have that requirement for multiplayer games going forward on PC like they're going to do it for the ghost of sushima Legends mode or whatever but not for the single player but for helldivers too that's the only multiplayer game that's actually not going to have that requirement because the community stood up and they made their voices hurt now for FIFA unfortunately I think there's always going to be a divide because like you guys mentioned a lot of content creators rely on this for their income right so for one they can't necessarily boycott the game because again that's their livelihood and then number two there's also a section of people because of how big the FIFA community is there's all social people who just don't care cuz again they're rich enough they they don't really care like opening packs whether it's the athletes or just like Rich folks and in general right they don't really care about all this other nonsense so they don't care cuz they're just going to put hundreds and hundreds of dollars into the packs and whatever and they're going to feed the beast in that case but for everyone else like every other regular person who just wants to enjoy a good football game feeding the whole packs and promos and all the sudden nonsense that EA has turned the game into just never ends well for us because then they're never going to prioritize the gameplay and and that's just the simplest things are going to go right so because the the majority of players are never willing to actually stand up and take action I think there's always going to be this perpetual limbo in the FIFA community where people are going to constantly complain about the gameplay and how EA does bad but then like you guys mentioned in the example at 6:00 or whatever they're still going to go and open promo packs and what not and still feed the money right so for free as long as their pockets are full they're not going to care right now the only thing that's ever going to make them sit up and take notice is when you hurt their pockets and unfortunately this community just never has a big enough voice so I do appreciate what you guys are doing and I appreciate that you're actually bringing attention to this and I hope you guys keep up the good fight cuz again as long as you do something then you guys can at least say okay we tried we did something we tried to help the community even if the community rejects that help keep up the great work.

No they don't. Atm. But if alot of people, not all, but alot stop buying points for several months (especially content creators whom can spend hundreds, or even thousands of dollars/pounds on a single video), all of the sudden they have to explain to their boards/investors etc., why they are losing 10, 20, 30% of in-game purchases, which are their bread and butter.
What I think we need is quick and open communication from EA and an active say in how things are balanced. You are going to always have balancing issues but what you really need is a system put in place that can fix those issues

Nice one. Always good to see people getting into corporate harm minimisation. It's been too long that video games been allowed to profit from gambling metrics as opposed to the quality of their product, Fifa/EA FC being probably the biggest and most shamelessly obvious with it. I’m just one person. I’m not a content creator or an EA affiliate or anything like that but here’s my experience. I’ve played Ea/Fifa since FIFA 96 on the sega mega drive. I’ve been the guy that hates the game these last few years and still dropped 1000s of pounds each edition and regret/hate myself for doing so. In December the switch got flicked. I deleted the game and didn’t look back and will continue to do so until I am 100% sure the game is moving back in the right direction and I can tell you hand on heart I feel better for it. Also though, these guys are correct in saying you can’t tell people where to spend their money but what I found out is! I used to genuinely feel vile every time I fell into buying a promo pack and I did so for years but what I’ve since learned now I’m off EAFC. I can piss away my money in any number of ways but I am much happier pissing it away not into EAs pocket. Now I buy another pair of shoes (which I don’t need) I buy Fortnite skins (but I don’t loathe myself for it) I go to more gigs. I eat out at more restaurants. Just because that amount of money I used to burn in one avenue I know spread around. Do I have much more to show for it? I’ve put on 12kg (which is a big deal for me but perhaps not for everyone) so I can show more stomach. But largely no not really in a physical sense but I do have more memories and more importantly I have a lot more peace of mind. I doubt many, if anyone will read this. But if it resonates with even a couple people I’d be happy.

All teams in irl football use 'drop back' , I think the defence ai is good its just the attacker ai is not good enough, so ea will have to 'upgrade' the atk ai to combat the 'op' def ai
Yoooo could u make an analysis video comparing this years game to a year where the gameplay was good? Specifically comparing the ai defending. It would be nice to see what we have been missing out on for so long.
I would say we need representatives of the eafc community to have a space where they can speak to ea devs and board members either face to face or on video calls. Call it the EACAB (the EA community advisor board), get people like nick, auzio and nep as members as well as devs to be able to voice our concerns and ideas on the game and finally get them heard. In the members’ streams vote for issues that the streamer can talk about in future meetings. Surely through this we could get some issues patched - or at least some closure - and maybe get the game we want and realistically deserve.

I deleted the game right after they changed fut champs rewards for Ligue 1. Should have done it much sooner I guess that just pushed me over the edge. Its a shame what the game has come to I've loved fifa since 2007.
If there is some momentum to the no fc point movement the bottom line will be hit, if that happens ea will have discussions to fix it
Giving much better rewards for rank 1 to 3 players just strenghtens the pay to win aspect of the game.
The rewards have to be better all around plus we need to do something with our duplicates.
And when we're at it, drop the Rivals/Squad Battles BS where we just get rewards on specific days.
In the old season system you got your rewards after every season (10 games).
Therefore, there was less FOMO and you could play the game on your own schedule. But you could grind more rewards, so this was just a way to reduce the packs, so you go to the store for more.
Ultimate TOTS week the top EAFC streamers could all play games that aren’t fifa together to make a big event and take eyes away from fifa on one of their most profitable pack selling weeks.
I wish they brought back the old weekend league rewards and made the tots better

If you can't click L3+R3 and move your players manually every 5 seconds, you're screwed. People can drag their cb to the center line, and he can get back and make a tackle.Press the tackle button like crazy but they can still get back and make a tackle after hitting the tackle button 4 or 5 times. You guys are forgetting the other currency...most of the content creators all have coin sponsors...money might not be going to EA but it's the exact same concept.
These servers have been absolutely horrendous for the past 2 weeks. I guess it solves the gameplay issue when you can’t play the game
what also needs to be taken into account when change is about to be made is making sure that ALL types of EAFC players are accounted for, like the players who hop on for an evening or two a week to play some fifa and making sure that they wont get left behind for not playing every night, but then also catering for the hardcore as well. Allowing for all types of players to enjoy the game to the fullest

1. Rank rewards for Division rivals
(Day 1 of the game)
10-8 (max 82×4) player pack
8-6(min 82*4) player pack
6-4(min 85*1) player pack
4-2(min 85*2) player pack
2-elite(team of the weak player pick)
This makes it better for players that grind...the higher you rank the better your rewards but people at rank 7 up still have a one in a million chance at striking gold like a 88 Bruno or so
2. Remove player packs from stores and put in like cosmetics like you can change Ronaldo's boots or kits
3. To make it possible for you to still buy players on the market and not being exstinct...increase the amoint of tradable packs you get in rivals and champs like instead of 1 make it 2 and increase it per rank
