Hi, it might be blatantly obvious for regular twitch viewers, but as I do not have the time at the right spots so I am going to ask here: I, as a CS student and aspiring Game Developer, am curious and would like to experiment and really dig in to Jai. I am very interested in the resulting assembly of programming languages and how Jai does that. I know that I do not have any merit for you to invite me to the Tester-Circle but I was just wondering if there was some official ?application? to become a Tester. Keep up the interesting work, Qwendo
@@DemonixTBI doubt that's the reason , once you have the number of levels you already have selected/created, I'm sure putting art on top of them takes less time. It also depends on how you want the presentation to be, if there is going to be a hub world type with portals at each individual level etc. If you look at 2:47:57 that level looks finished to me, let's say there are 100 levels, 25 with each art style like Castle, Desert, Forest, Caves etc. I could see the game finished by this year. But i get the impression the game is going to be bigger than that. I remember he said once that his next game wouldn't take as long to be created as The Witness, and he has been working on this project for a couple of years, so i do not deny the possibility that by next year the game will be finished and with the level of polish that characterizes it.
I started understanding John's mentality recently and can't stop consuming the wisdom
Really love these, seeing the development process and the pushing through issues
I'm so glad you upload these! Lots of valuable knowledge being shared in these sessions.
like not to use the explorer to delete *.anim files ^^
I learned alot, thank you.
I feel old.

quick question, is this the real Jonathan blow account or a fan account ?
It’s his own account.
holy s#6& i thought Jonathon had quit game dev and TH-cam. Good to see him back
Is there any estimates to this games release? Love Braid and The Witness! :)
Maybe a couple of months, it already looks good.
@@A-ZoneG4ming only like 15% of levels have any art done at all, it wont come out for at least 3 years
Definitely not a matter of months, maybe late 2023 if wr are lucky

What's the "xx" syntax i see often?
That means cast to anything.
@@kaksisve4012 pretty odd choice for a token to use chars instead of a symbol 🤔
@@flamendless It will probably be a wand emoji once syntax is final.
What theme is that on his Emacs?
Maybe `append_pointee` instead of `append_by_pointer`? Not sure if that's any clearer. Your name is quite okay.
50:04 I do.
good ol' python!!!!!
jai, actually
