Judes Nudes huh okay, welp for me I've been seeing a lot of broken augs at my field just left to rot, its gotten so bad that some of the refs just ask the owner and they even said "keep it i don't want it" and its like the JG or even ASG augs

    • @pengertheartist
      @pengertheartist 6 ปีที่แล้ว

Judes Nudes no its mainly due to the trigger unit, the metal piece breaks easily and people done want to work on them, but that's due to using semi auto too much

    • @Geilswijk

Problem with the AUG is TM's design choice to have the gearbox just lying lose inside the receiver, and the electric trigger than shoots semi always...
This combined with a barrel that only connects to the lose gearbox and then to the notoriously lose gasblock makes for a very inaccurate system.
All companies that copied the electric AUG, just copied the design flaws.
      Electrical issues.
The problem with the AUG design is the electrical trigger system always do semi, this causes wear on the switch surfaces and this increases with power, so if you dont use a 8.4V 600mAh NiCd battery, it is going to fail.
The easy fix is to install a mosfet relay to take the power load of the switch. Do that and your trigger switch lasts for years.
      Accuracy.
I recommend drill a hole through the gasblockbehind the slot for the front grip and screw the gasblock and upper together.
Afterwards, make padding inside the upper that supports the barrel.
Remove the fake boltcover/spring system and install a normal flat ver.3 box rail, make two spacers in the recivert that supports the gearbox and hold its down. these needs to be two parts as the gearbox needs to pivot to come out, so two parts that supports the very front and back of the gearbox when in position.
Side to side travel of the gearbox is less of a problem, but it is held in place by a slot on the over side of the roof in the magwell, take this out and make tigth fitting spacers to grip the gearbox, but also to make the "roof" part fit tight in the receiver.
Stabilize the inner barrel inside the outherbarrel, the in between shroud is to lose.
      Failure to feed.
The magazine needs to be tight into the magwell and slightly forward, more than TM did originally.
First, remove the magazine locking hookm glue about 1/3mm plastic card onto the surface that connects with the magazine, to lift the magazine in the well.
You want it as tight as possible, enough so that you need to firmly insert it to make it click.
Secondt, remove the "roof" plate from the magwell.
Connect a magazine to the roof plate and see how much play theres is back and forth. Eliminate this by glueing about 1/2mm plasticcard on the front of the step in the magwell to push the magazine forward. you don't want the roof plate to flex (as this leads to stress and failure).
With these simple fixes the magazine feeds perfectly.
Fix these issue and the AUG becomes a AEG to compete with all the best.
I used mine as a compact marksman's platform to great success over the years, with 8/10 within a A5 size target at 50 meters and all within a A4 on a 2J gun.
So the AUG have its issues, but they are not un-fixable and whey you get past those it's a really nice gun.

    • @dwon031
      @dwon031 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

The reason why the AUGs break is the plastic that holds the electrical contacts are melty. Even the ones holding the full auto contacts are melty.
Most melty ones are the Classic army, followed by JG. The Marui's do melt but they take a while.
The issue is finding a set of electrical contact that isn't melty, and then custom fitting it into the AUG as the contact block is different so normal V3 contacts don't fit directly onto it and work as intended.
Aside from that, the loose barrel trunion/gas block issues can be remedied with aluminium shims and installation of shimming screws to minimise movement. The only real issue is the barrel warping issues with the plastic half barrel and the heavy metal front, can be minimised with a more solid outer barrel liner. More drastic fixes are to re-lathe a new half barrel but thats somewhat OTT.
      Anything is possible.

As a big WW2 fan myself I'm always looking for new guns. I have an S&T BAR that worked for about a week and then the shitty mags stopped feeding. The problem is that the BAR mags are just M16 A1 20 round mags that are placed in the BAR mag shell. So there is actaully about a 1 inch gap in between the top of the mag where the bb's come out and the hop up chamber. So the bb's just can't be fed into the gun unless you are constantly squeezing the mag up against the receiver.
I also have an S&T Spring Type 38 Arisaka. It's awesome and works perfectly fine for now. If ai upgraded it, it would probably kick ass.
I have an S&T Grease Gun and it's worked almost flawlessy for about 3 years now.
I have a King Arms Thompson, a Cyma Thompson and a Tokyo Mauri Thompson but they all really suck. Luckily the only one I've actually bought myself was the Tokyo Mauri. The bb's just float out of the barrel. I'm thinking about checking out one of the Cyber Gun Thompsons. Idk if they are any better ao let me know.
And lastly I have a G&G M1 Garand. It's by far the best WW2 gun I own. It shoots perfectly. It only has a 20 round mag, but what bothers me is that I wish I could load it in the top like the real rifle instead of on the bottom like a sniper mag.

    • @barrywatts803
      @barrywatts803 5 ปีที่แล้ว

That's the feeding stop on the mag. Had the same problem with my ICS m4. I have taken that feeding stop out. Just fill mag with bbs and don't wind the wheel and bbs won't fall out. Fit into magwell then wind tension onto bbs. Will always feed.

i tech mostly gas guns now and i had tons of WE guns come through my hands. Even though old, IE pre 2014-15, open bolts guns (and let's just forget the closed bolt ones existed) had LOTS of issues most problems i encountered came from the users (most of them have dried up seals all over because they were never maintained or people had used stuff like WD40 in them) some of them dont even know how to purge a gas mag before loading to ensure correct filling. Gas guns are not AEG's and some people can't understand that. Having said that (and owning several gas guns, stock and custom) WE m14's plainly suck, you can strategically mod or replace key parts to improve them but on the long run you will have to replace almost every moving part ... not at all like their AR platforms that run excellently (i had a 416 that i left in a closet for 5 months while i was away and then came back, dropped some lube on them and they worked amazingly). Just my two cents, if you're buying WE just make sure they are the newer ones or the redesigned models (2014-15 and up).

'Hi, my name is Zero, and I run a BAR...' (Groups responds..) 'Hi Zero, thanks for sharing'... Hahahahaha....sadly, or maybe not, I fall into the BAR club. I love it unconditionally. That said, when I got it, it was a complete disgrace. Underpowered and it couldn't hit an 18 wheeler in the next parking stall. The body was completely falling apart and so on, and so on....and that was pretty much out of the box. I rescued it from a frustrated previous owner who was getting ready to smelt it into fishing weights. It's hard to say how many hours exactly that I've sunk into this Browning, but it was challenge accepted. Luckily, I am the tech, so labour was free. It got completely rebuilt right down to how the body parts fasten together (they now stay together). It got a stainless tight bore, a home made mosfet (secret family recipe), a completely rebuilt and redesigned gearbox, ball bearing everything...in fact, if I did have to count engineering and labour, a real BAR is significantly cheaper! Hehehehe. That said, now it shoots like a BAR should. Hard and steady (415fps with .2's and range well, well over 200 ft.). It feeds to the last BB in all 6 of my mags and hungers for more. So, the point? It is possible to make this a seriously badass and competitive rifle. Price point? Mass production would definitely bring the cost down a bit, but certainly not cheap. Not Matrix cheap, that's for sure! Is it worth it? Every single time I pull that trigger, it's absolutely worth it. I wish the manufacturers would just do it right out of the box...like you said. Otherwise it tarnishes the legacy...

Wow, I have half those guns and I've upgraded most of them to 30+rps at 400fps at laser beam accuracy (all rhop-ed).
I should make a video on them. But here are my thoughts:
    AUG (32rps at 400fps):
I like the AUG's disassembly because the gearbox is in the back and can be pushed out without unscrewing the gun apart.
Changing the gearbox to a quick change spring gearbox will make the gun amazing. I actually did not have any problems when I was using it stock for 3 years.
    XM8 (33rps at 400fps):
I don't know if you've held it before in person, but I've definitely yeeted the gun on asphalt and its its body holds really well. Most people might not know this but most airsoft polymers are much much more durable than the pot metal used on 99% of airsoft externals. Internally it does suck, but that is my opinion on every single gun out there (except some Krytac stuff, no fan boner)
    S&T/AGM MG-42 (43 rps at 420fps):
Yes, it sucks, a lot. I've got mine at 40+rps, it required me to machine some parts since some parts almost fit. The electronics slowly become a unbelievable hassle since the drum is powdered by a weak motor and its not a winding hi-cap. Its like an impeller feeding bb's or a pump so if its too fast it will burn the motor if its too slow it will not feed. I would not recommend this gun unless you have a metric buttload of teching skills.
AEPs in general (~25 rps at ~300 fps):
I have an MP7 and UZI and an M93r.
Nightmarish to work on these small near proprietary parts. I've 3D print in nylon powder and 3D printed in metal some of these parts to make them usable. I've even bought some high end RC motors ripped the neomagnets in them and shoved them in the AEP motors to make them better. Not to mention you have the space between two rubbing nickels to fit the electronics. But my god does it feel good to have rare guns usable on the field.

  • @BryanHectic

I have the Matrix/AY B.A.R. Mine actually functioned beautifully,( no misfeeds, great hop up, and solid internals, came stock with a mosfet system). What wasn't soild and downright awful, were the externals: the wood kit I opted for didnt fit right: the fore grip was wobbly, no matter how much to tightened the screws, the exterior barrel was 2 pieces and the front piece wobbled a lot, the metal was made from, as you mentioned, cheap pot metal, the stock had screws on the inside that constantly loosened up(you have to take off the lower reciever to get to them). And to top it all off, the battery was wired to the stock, but the stock had no room to fit anything beyond a stick type nunchuck battery in it. It looks as if they've discontinued this aeg on evike, and it's probably for the best, because its frustrating how well it performs, but how poor and mediocre the external craftmanship is on it.

I built an ASG AUG with a gate titan in a LCT v3 and man it’s an absolute beast with 25 rps. Only complaint is that the manufacturers can’t agree on the barrel assembly so neither asg, jg, and aps have interchangeable grip slots. Also there is a little wobble with the front barrel assembly but that’s just the nature of the augs.

Here’s a story that I still feel bad about TO this day. Like, I feel REALLY REALLY bad about this. About 2 years ago I bought a Matrix B.A.R from Airsoft GI and it was faux wood. It worked great and had no problems. Don’t ask me why, but I came across a real wood one on eBay for 400 bucks that listed as a “S&T” and wanted to grab it also. I’m a collector and own about 58 real firearms and about 40 airsoft rifles. We’ll anyways, the listing said it was a S&T and was from a kid who wanted to play airsoft and didn’t that much so he decided to sell it. BUT WHEN IT CAME IN, IT WAS A VFC B.A.R!!!!!! I told the guy he made a mistake but he said it was okay. That kid didn’t realize he sold me a rifle for 400 bucks when they are selling for around $2,000 now a days because they are so rare!
It was never fielded and shoots like a DREAM, I will NEVER get rid of it. I feel bad the kid didn’t realize what he did and that he didn’t even care when I told him. What are the odds of that? That’s like winning the lottery.

I own an AGM mp44. First thing I did was dismantle the entire gun for refinishing.
I wont even comment on the internals as they are crap.
Because 90% of the gun is made from either aluminum and or zinc it made a proper refinishing much more difficult. After doing a magnet test on each piece the steel was separated out, it was blow torched and quenched in used motor oil for a stunning effect. A fine bluish and brown patina.
The magazines really sucked to finish as some of the shells are completely steel and some are patch work steel with aluminum....and it was completely random. The rest of the pieces had to be soaked in a chemical bath for 24 hours in a mix of potassium manganese, Iron oxide, and some other stuff...result was almost as good as the steel. I really wish (especially after my LC3 purchase) that we could just go all in with the steel on builds.
The mp44 is kind of a pain in the ass on tear down, no Bakelite grips (id settle for polymer), No metal option to replace the orange tip(closest thing is the "flush cap muzzle protector", selector switch is wrong and kinda wonky. The finish on the wood was a joke however the easiest to refinish.
The lack of mid-caps forced me to make my own using mp7 mag brands, shaving a few bits off, and fitting them inside the hi-cap shell and securing them with pins and shims.
I do love this gun, it is a definite attention getter on the field. Im 100% in agreement on WWII weapons need some much needed love....I want an mg42 so bad but after the lct3 wont accept lower quality anymore.

My first airsoft rifle was the Cybergun FAMAS. I loved it but it wasn't very sturdy and when it broke it was boneyard for good. If anybody brings it back they need to use a stronger polymer than the toy grade plastic on the old ones. And make it easier to access the battery or disassemble for repairs/upgrades. If they decide to go for a gas system, I'm all for it.

I totally agree what you said about the problem about WWII guns. Because when you see a good WWII gun you just stop in your tracks and just say.... Wow... That looks like the real thing! But by the time you get a High quality WWII gun you've just spent a ridiculous amount of money- if it even works. But what needs to happen with these companies is that they need to get accurate gun-a-holics to get a real gun and put it right in front of the designers, show them how it works, and say.. Make this work. Because if that happened then the whole airsoft community will go ballistic about it because the guns will be getting sold out and they will be making so many of them that the prices will go down and the guns themselves will get the credit that the real steel ones already have. But if theses tips just get noticed be the manufacturers and starts to focus on the Legendary Battle Rifles and SMG's of WWII..... the publicity will explode
and they will be a humongous profit for whoever does this.

I would love to see a remake of a Glock model 18. These were so prominent about 5-10 years ago when I first started looking around airsoft websites. But now they are all but non-existent. The only one I can find is the CP-030, an AEP with a pretty steep price tag (all things considered). I know that models existed, but after-market eBay auctions are also non-existent. There is a huge support for the 030 online, as Amazon doesn't sell the gun itself, but they do have a TON OF MAGAZINES. And this magazines are relatively inexpensive. So, that is my pick.

I think one of the biggest pitfalls companies step into is their seeming unwillingness to revisit their product their standing product lines and update them accordingly. As you rightly said, airsoft has moved on over the years and expectations regarding quality and performance have changed dramatically. Another area which companies really need to address is quality control, especially if a company is aware of flaws/weaknesses.
Regarding AEP's I wish these were better platforms as gas can become problematic during the winter months and even for a good chunk of spring where I am based.

I do agree a lot about the ww2 quality control.
My old Snow Wolf Thompson is still kicking just fine, but some of the external pieces just break, most importantly the selector switches sticks or whatever are quite flimsy, and one of them literally broke on the first day.
My Dboys K98k bolt literally blew up on my face, as it's made of some extremely weak metal (not to talk about the lackluster accuracy due to it's two different barrel sizes).
Or, some PPSHs would need a revamp urgently. Some are good, but lemons can be frequent. On S&Ts PPSHs the one piece that makes the bolt move back and forth is made (yet again) out of a really low quality metal, and tends to break. As for other personal experiences, I had an Hexagon PPSH and that thing just sucked major ass, the fps was bellow 200, the barrel was misaligned and one could leave marks on the wood just by pressing on it.
It's a similar story with MP-40s, some can be good and some can be absolute trash, lemons can be quite frequent with these things.
(and BARs too. And M1 carbines, how could I forget about those.)
And last but not least, mosins. I'd love to see the old Zetalabs spring mosin nagant models being remade and put into production once more, instead of some of the other green gas models that not only are overly expensive, but poorly built and outperformed by basically everything else.
So yeah, a proper Ww2 quality control would be nice.
On the other hand, I fully agree with you on the subject of M16A1s. I've actually managed to buy an old PJ M16A1 by pure chance, as this one rifle is pretty fucking rare here in Europe, so it hurts me to see that the one cool looking, GBB M16A1 is utter trash.

-famas:it would be nice if it only had a structure based more on the real gun,it would be sturdier, and easier to mantain/upgrade
-aug:just make it sturdier, with better quality plastic, and with a single piece barrel
    -GBBRs:personally not interested at all
-ww2 guns:src mp40,ics/g&g garand hit the mark, but make them more exact to the originals!do some research like reenactors does! bolt action guns:make them based on vsr10 spring rifles,is it so hard?
-uzi:use aep technology, just don't put too many proprietary parts!

My S&T ppsh is a god gun. I love it. No problems ever. Worth the money
