Great review,Hans !!! By the way,I'm enjoying my passive Rubicon 2 's a lot.Great speakers for sure, and it's interesting to try different amps with them.
Thanks for the introduction of the R2C. I’m enjoying my R2. I was allways wondering if the R2 performs better at 2,6khz(like the crossover of the high frequencies to its big brother R6 but with the exception of adding a ribon tweeter at 13khz) The crossover of the passive version is at 3,1khz. Hi Hans, thanks for the review; the reason I bought these Dali’s. I also have the Bluos module. But… the Bluos can be set at a sample rate(f.e. In Qobuz) of 24bit/192khz. However, the Dali’s can process upto 24bit/92khz. So how do I set the Bluos? At its highest rate, or also at 24bit/92khz just as the Dali’s? To all people who are interested; you don’t need the Bluosmodule to stream from a phone/tablet/laptop. Enable bluetooth and everything works just as fine. You can also stream hires via bluetooth.
Hans - Great reviews that you - do very informative. I am deciding between the Rubicon 2c and the Callisto 2c. I can only position the speaker 150mm from the back wall. Will this be a poor placement and render the speakers not good sounding? Wit my room would you reccommend one over the other? How far can you place the Hub from the speakers? I can plug in to ethernet cable about 8 meters away? or within one meter if i use Wifi. Would a Roon Nucleus improve this system with Bluos?
As the owner of the Callisto 2C, I am also curious . It’s a big jump in price , and it begs the question what is the difference . Keep up the good work ! Alvast bedankt .
And the 2C’s are also being heavily discounted in the Netherlands. I asked a dealer and they said it is because there are too many problems with the system thus the price dumping . No problems with my system I can report.
Bluesound node 2 allows it to learn 6 commands, say 1 for Jazz Playlist, 2 for an Internet radio station, etc. It's a pity the Dali handset does not appear to have 6 dedicated buttons to do the same thing. Does the Dali box allow it to learn from another remote, say my Harmony, so I could use that to have presets?
No, doesn't have the 6 commands and it can't learn other remotes but using the BT remote lets you choose an input rather quick (the remote has a display showing the chosen input).
Hans, You are the digital reviewer I ALWAYS check for digital equipment. Thank you for your clear explanations and humor, from James Brown taking you to the bridge to the aesthetics and finance committees. I wish you the best. Will a TT connect directly to the soundhub or to the sound hub through a phonostage? Either? Both? Also, would the SoTM clock regenerator be useful?
Hans; I am considering buying this system but have a few questions: 1)did you use the remote with the sound hub in an out of sight line configuration and how did it perform,2)you stated a price and just wanted to know if that included the VAT (and is the VAT 22% or higher), 3)did you get your system from a Netherlands dealer and what group do you recommend, 4)is the speaker power cord what color ie does it match up with the white speakers as that color looks nice to me as well and what are the specification for the cord--do you advise for any power conditioning, 5) what speaker stands did you use or not use to trial and positioning., 6)are you able to share more info on the expansion ports configuration and the ability of end users taking advantage of the second slot or is this precluded by firmware on the 'Hub' by DALI, Thank you I hope you are able to answer these questions as the the Dali dealers have no experience with these speakers and the lag on Dali responding is not good.
1) line of sight. 2) Dutch price including 21% VAT. 3) It was a loan from the Dutch distributor. 4)I don't remember. 5) Taarget universal stands. 6) No, I can't.

Is network interference from a router an issue? I was told to keep the speakers and sound hub at least 10ft away from my wireless router by a dealer. Thanks for the great review!
@@TheHansBeekhuyzenChannel Thanks! Also I suspect disabling the 5ghz radio signal on my router would also eliminate any issue but I appreciate the feedback.
I must say that you are a pleasant man to listen to and so much knowledge I wish you happy new year 2020

You should avoid double SF conversion so set it to 92 kHz
@@TheHansBeekhuyzenChannel thank you!
Sorry to reply to an older video. But would these speakers connect directly to a Bluesound Node?
Sure, o problem

Hi Hans, if you have heard any of the Dynaudio Focus active speakers, are you able to discern a digital DSP sound signature in them?
I haven’t
Thanks for an informative and fun video! How do you compare the Rubicon 2C with the slightly cheaper Callisto 2C?

Hans, why dont' you review the Kef's? Arguably the finest.
For KEF won't know me since I returned a set of speakers unreviewed due to the low quality. It were those ultra flat speakers, not regular ones.
How is this system when compared to edifier s3000 pro or the klipsch sixes when compared to sound quality ?
I have no hands on experience with those products
Is network interference from a router an issue? I was told to keep the speakers and sound hub at least 10ft away from my wireless router by a dealer. Thanks for the great review!
It's hard to give general rules, it all depends on the gear used. But 10 feet might be a bit over the top.

Hi Hans. Is the elac bluos npm-1 module equivalent to node 2 or node 2i. I am asking as node 2i sounds better. Thank you.
I don't know.
The Hans Beekhuyzen Channel thanks for your reply.
Do these require a wired connection between each speaker? If not, do you know of any other wireless bookshelf speakers which offer the same?
No they only need a power cord
Elac Navis ARB-51 might be an alternative
How are Dali In- wall speakers ?
Sound performance
I have not reviewed them so I can’t say.
do this speakers have Alexa or Google Assistance?
No
