Kingdom Hearts Nuzlocke Rules:
1. Must be played on hardest possible mode.
2. Run begins from the moment "From this point forward, if your HP hits zero, it's game over" prompt appears. If no prompt occurs in that game, then the run begins following the tutorial and/or departing from the first world.
3. Anytime the main playable character dies and is unable to continue via story (rescued by Mickey, etc), the run is automatically over.
4. Run is completed upon finishing main story ending (or BBS final episode). DLC, Olympus Tournaments, etc are optional.
5. Anything that can be nicknamed must be nicknamed.
Early Save Clause: If a Game Over occurs and a save file was made prior to the run officially beginning, that save file may be used for the next attempt.

I once had the idea of using your Keyblades as lives for a Nuzlocke rule. Made sense at the time.
I think I'll implement that later on. Dying in some of the earlier KH games doesn't happen very often so "Whiteouts" are extremely unlikely if we can cycle through a boatload of keyblades. I may require some more optional bosses in the rules to balance this out though, which would be extra fun.
So this is mostly just an Iron-man challange. It could have been that if a party member faint you have to bench them, but you can't really reduce the size of the party, and limiting youself to Don and Goof is not such an intresting limitation.
Essentially yeah. When I do the series all over again, I will be making it a Hardcore Nuzlocke series with so many more rules.
I cant beleive this guy didn't follow the hardcore no item nuzlocke rules that i dont even think exist yet
If attempt 2 happened to me I would not play this game for a long time lmao props to you for doing another round
I appreciate that lol. I was reckless on attempt 3 and thankfully did not get punished for it
Cool vid! Looking forward to the next one. If you try to Nuzlocke Re:COM, you could probably play around somehow with the map cards. Like maybe you can only use the first card you get that meets the requirement for the next room?
I don't know, just thinking out loud. Look forward to your next vid!
Great idea. I'll think about it and make a decision just before streaming
Super interesting stuff. Made me think about how I've done my own sorta Nuzlocke rules for other easier action games without realizing it, like the No More Heroes series (no upgrades, one weapon only, etc.).
Might start cooking up ones for the KH games now, sounds fun!
Sounds like a plan!
I would have figured a nuzlocke would be about keyblades. Dying means you can't use that keyblade anymore, making it less ironman and more about build? This might be more interesting in later games especially 3 tho where you actually upgrade keyblades and they have more unique abilities.
That sounds interesting. I am definitely not going to do that right now, but perhaps in a later series I may consider this idea. It's super easy to not die in KH1 and KHCoM so maybe I'll also require defeating all the secret and optional bosses to rebalance the difficulty.
@@BrandonKellogg22 Yeah this maybe makes more sense for KH2 and KH3 since the keyblades are much more impactful.
I would add the rule, Sora can't level up pass the level of the world he is currently in this can be easily checked in other games but im sure that it can be seen too in the code of Kh1.
Of course this rule would only aply to uncompleted worlds
That rule will be in my hardcore nuzlocke challenges 👍

Me a Xbox KH fan:
🤔
That's only been relevant for like the past few years lol
Great video!
I am a huge Kingdom hearts fan, but I've never tried a Nuzlocke in any game before. Seems like an interesting challenge.
Thanks for the Sub and your comment! Yeah it's super fun to try out. I'm currently doing a Chain of Memories Nuzlocke. Probably getting back on that sometime soon. Glad you enjoyed it!
GREAT VIDEO
Thank you!
Better way to play is no damage run this concept of Nuzlock doesn't make sense.
You're welcome to explore other channels if my channel doesn't provide you an acceptable level of satisfaction.
@@BrandonKellogg22 i like the content i just dont know why everyone lately is calling every video game challenge a Nuzlock
@@Commandgrab7 It's because a Nuzlocke is a fan made term with loosely arbitrary rules. Basic Pokemon Nuzlocke rules are negligible these days because everyone is currently doing Hardcore Nuzlockes, which puts normal nuzlockes to shame. It's really just a harder way to play a video game. That's how I define it.
@@Commandgrab7 That and I wouldn't be surprised if the TH-cam algorithm favors the word Nuzlocke over other words
