Pure class. The definition of ' real music" not twenty plus people of the stage with the performer, not asking the crowd to sing, taking clothes off throwing in audience. Just pure, SANGING NOT SINGING. CLASSIC, HARMONIES AND STAGE PRESENTATION. I RARELY HEAR THE CLASSIC SONGS FROM BACK WHEN, MUSIC MAKE SENSE. THANKS PPL WHO POST.
I've watched this video a dozen times or more...I will NEVER tire of it. I love the Delfonics and love hearing Wilbert "oooooo" and "noooooo".....the best the best the best!!!
William Hart's voice in his prime was a instrument of pure beauty. Talk about smooth, the Delfonics are the poster boys of kool!! I"m so glad I got to see them perform back in the day and I wish someone would post them singing somebody loves you girl live-- back then!!!OH MY GOD!! talk about beautiful! RIP Randy Cain
Love this arrangement of the song.I fell in love with my husband over 18 years ago listening to The Delfonics ♡♡. I'll be seeing them with my teenage daughter's in two months. I grew up on this wonderful, beautiful and soulful music. My parents played The Delfonics, The Stylistics, O'JAYS, The Temprees, Blue Magic, Heatwave and I can go on an on. We love you Mr. William Hart☆♡♡. Thank you for all that you guys have gave to so many of us.
God is it possible for you to send me back to these times of my youth and leave me there or is that the Heaven that they talk about....Beautiful Memories.....
The Delfonics were one of the first groups to sing in the sleek, soulful style that became popularized (thanks to producer Thom Bell) as the "Philadelphia sound." A vocal trio made up of brothers William and Wilbert Hart and high school friend Randy Cain, the Delfonics roots go back to doo-wop singing at school dances.
This is the BEST music sound of this song along with their singing, it is so perfect how they sang this song in perfect sync/beat with the music, It's really incredible how perfect each singer in the group contributes to the song! I love that they are from Philadelphia, PA!
I keep watching this video over and over and over again. I love the understated way that the first singer opens up the song, his voice and his style of dancing (effortless, cool and casual) is pure brilliance. If only I could I could transport myself to the 70s... I'm off to invent a time-machine lol
That's Wilbert Hart, who starts off the song. He is the brother of lead singer, William Hart. The other singer is Major Harris, who had a breakout solo hit a couple of years later, "Love Won't Let Me Wait". Check it Out! Ciao!!!
So much passion.in their songs and performances....You could listen to them all day...especially on a rainy day, you just wanna melt into the music....These were the best years!!!
Thank You Major Harris You Moved Me when I was a teenage, and you continue to this day. RIP, for there will never be another voice the likes of yours.....
I feel so blessed to have grown up in the 60's and 70's. We had the most incredible bands and the sweetest music and 99% of them could really sing too. The Delfonics, Barry Biggs, Freddy Mcgregor, Heatwave and the Manhattans to name a few made a young girls life heaven.
Great to hear the real "raw" sound of a live band! As a drummer of 45 years, to hear the drums in their true acoustic splendor, and just the tonality of the vocals...Thanks!
This was the song playing the night I first saw the girl I would go on to marry, 40 years ago and still going, it should have been titled 'didn't she blow my mind' because I would never have blown any ones mind. Great memories of a great period thanks.
My jam reminds me of being a kid.i remember walking to school with my older bro.this was playing on the radio ..he died in iraq 3 yrs ago..i miss him so rip wm
I was born in the early 70s and am able to appreciate (very much) the music of the 20's and 30's (blues), 50's and 60's (rock and roll, etc). I think it just requires an open mind. What I can't quite get my brain around is how anyone appreciates some of today's more vapid music. There is still some good music being made-- just not as much (IMO).
I was a little girl my mom had all the music i remember it all this is music that .kept familys together Love Music and Slow Draggin........ yeah..... Lol
I saw the Delfonics perform when I was 5 years old at a park in a small town in Pennsylvania. They were smooth and dancing to the groove singing La La Means I Love You. The Philly sound is classy stuff. The old soul music is hard to beat for musicianship, songwriting, arranging and just plain soulful performances.
Fantastic, every word, every line, every beat, every lick - nailed. Beautifully paced, rare to see/hear it, no fear of being slow, no fear of the listener 'being bored', because the feeling, the emphasis was all that mattered. Best of old school
I used to play my brothers records while he was at work and denied it. Thank Goodness he never caught me.LOL Still Love the Delfonics today. PS I think my brother got his revenge by not letting me meet them when they use to visit his house when in Connecticut.
R.I.P. *Major Harris* of "The Delfonics" R&B singer Major Harris passed away last Friday November 9, 2012 at his home in Richmond, VA from congestive heart and lung failure. He was 65. As a solo artist, Major Harris is well known for his hit “Love Won’t Let Me Wait”. The Delfonics have been frequently sampled in Hip-Hop by many artists, most famously by, Ghostface Killah and The Fugees. His last performance was in 2011 when he reunited with the group. R.I.P. Major, there will never be another.
I agree. Those brothers were on point, in style, in dress, in moves, ad definitely in their singing. Some younger people may not get it though - at least at first.
8 people (and counting) who have no soul and choose to listen to music that has no soul... GREAT SONG, I danced with my girl at the jr. high (1988 they were playing tTHIS SONG not any bull@#$* remake) amazing how we as a collective country have such an eclectic mix of music now (yes that is sarcasm) versus the heart filled, soul stirring, emotionally meaningful songs that shaped our childhood back in the day.
OK . . . second post in three days: This is just an awesome, awesome performance. So much heart and soul. As these men sing, it sounds as if they may not make it out of the song alive. A truly devastating performance of an emotion-drenched Philly soul masterpiece. And this was a live show! All the more reason to praise its majesty. Too bad it cuts off during the break down.
Whoever is playing the guitar and drums deserve a standing ovation!!!
These guys are the total package. The outfits, the dance moves, the voices, the emotion seen in their faces, the beautiful melodies. Love it.
THIS IS MUSICS!!! Not the crap they throwing out today. COME BACK DELFONICS, PLEASE COME BACK!!!
Music don't get any better than this...God can you please take me back to these days of my youth...
Pure class. The definition of ' real music" not twenty plus people of the stage with the performer, not asking the crowd to sing, taking clothes off throwing in audience. The Delfonics had it going on. No two ways about it. This group deserves * * * * *, that's five stars!!!

GREAT MEMORIES. WATCHING THE VIDEO FOR THE FIRST TIME. THANKS TH-cam FOR THE UPLOAD. 5/2021. MY NEPHEW ANTHONY'S BIRTHDAY.
I've watched this video a dozen times or more...I will NEVER tire of it. I love the Delfonics and love hearing Wilbert "oooooo" and "noooooo".....the best the best the best!!!
Their voice just blend so well!!!💕💕💕
There is not much better music than Philly Soul.

R.I.P William Randy and Major Wilbert is the last man standing now to carry on their legacy

Philly's own no doubt! Love this song
God is it possible for you to send me back to these times of my youth and leave me there or is that the Heaven that they talk about....Beautiful Memories.....
You do have to be a child of the unforgettable music of the 70's to understand those times.
There is nothing corny about this or the times. I miss them everyday. Thank you for sharing the video with the rest of us.
