I had a lot of fun watching this. Thanks for sharing your sewing journey. I ignore the accuracy police/gatekeepers and just have fun with my clothes. I love to mix period with contemporary pieces. As I am very poor and living on disability,I go for a capsule wardrobe that covers business professional to casual Goth/Punk. Mostly it's done with accessories to dress it up or down. Sewing my own clothes gives me the maximum control over quality. Once in a while I find a high end dreamy fabric on clearance at the mill end store for $15 or less a yard, regular price was $60+. I am currently working on a stripe blouse from $1.50 a yard Walmart quilting cotton. Thrift stores in my town rarely have anything worth buying. My kids bought me ponte knit, stretch twill, rayon jersey and various cotton fabrics to sew a new wardrobe as I put on weight. Listening to you and especially your comments on classicism and other things was the first time in a long time someone sounded like me.
Everything about your videos is such a treat! 😍 Your methods, your resourcefulness, your music, even being able to see snippets of how you’ve decorated your home has given me so much creative freedom and inspiration for my own space! And recently started cooking and eating “goofy, doofy” after hearing how it helped you and it’s really made all the difference! Thank you for sharing with strangers on the internet🖤

We have a similar body type and I would love to wear corsets, but have no idea where or how to start! They just look so comfortable! 😅🥰
Hi!!! Yes I'm always down to talk corset 🤍🤍 I wear an Edwardian (1900-1910ish) style corset that I made using an altered pattern from altelier sylphe! It's called REF W. and it was made using an extant corset from that time period. I started by making stays, and worked my way up to the Edwardian stuff which is much curvier

hiiiiii! it was one queen size top sheet! I made the bodice first then used almost everything else for the skirt!
