Jay, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Nice clearing. Corn you say, I thought only drain clearers in the UK found corn. Thanks for posting and sharing brother. Trogna....
Stopping the cable just as you hit the problem? There could be a good bit more roots the next few feet, which could cause a clog in a few more days/weeks. And didn't camera it to know? We had a big name company in town doing just that, knowing they would be back in a few months with grease in commercial kitchen drains. That company did that to a friend of mine, used a auger and a jetter in a main drain, yet the next day it stopped up again. That's when I started drain cleaning. 1 year later, those drains have not stopped up since.
Here in Ontario, you're not allowed to snake into the city. Line and um, I believe if I would have went any further, then what I did. I would have been on city property. If I get my cable stuck on city property I am to at fault and II have to get it dug up and repaired on my dime, that's not the Owner of the house's fault That would be my fault. I get. I'm there doing a job for somebody right, but I would have went past the blockage and yeah. Therefore, it would have been my fault. Also I mentioned to the owner about a video inspection. And they said, no, this happens every year, they said they pull out roots and it's good for a year and then they get it done. They know there's a break in the line. They don't want to pay to get it. Dug up at this time. Thanks for watching Steve. I really do appreciate your feedback and your criticism. But in this situation I did what was right. I've had people tell me on TH-cam that it's not my job to give the option to video. It's my job to tell them it. Needs to be video. I know that's not my job. My job is to inform them all the options out there and let them decide on what they want to do with me. Telling them all of the Pros and cons to everything once again, thanks a lot. Have a great day.Happy new year
I know, 90% of customers want it done as cheap as possible for now, although it will cost them more in the long run, and a lot more aggravation with a stopped up drain. As long as they are happy, and they pay, that's all that matters. I have thought about several options to a customer for camera inspection, like say, normally I charge xxx, but after we clear the clog, if you want to be sure all is clear, I can do that for 1/2 price, or if you offer say a 30 day guarantee on a drain cleaning, say with a camera inspection for $xxx, I can give you a 90 day guarantee. Since I usually do commercial or family, I always camera. By the way, love that snake, although I don't even own one, I use the jetter or the flex shaft.
@Jaythatdrainguy I'm good are you looking forward to the new year? I'm like watching your content on TH-cam and please keep me updated on the video contents thank you and god bless you
one more thing Jay, looks like you ran milwaukee cable through a k-60.....i have a milwaukee 2818 sectional that will run 5/8 and 7/8 cable.......i currently dont own any 5/8 cable for it though...my question is, since i like the attachments that ridgid makes for their 5/8 cable, do you suppose my milwaukee machine will run ridgid cable through it ?...I would think it would but just figured id ask....thanks jay
@bennyboyy850 so basically. the Milwaukee cable will go into the rigid K60. There is also the Milwaukee sectional machine that will run the 5/8 cable and the 7/8 cable, just like the K60, we'll run the 58 and the 7/8.
So I have a total of a 135 feet. I did have a 150, but one of my cables got pretty kinked up and I don't know, I threw it out and just haven't replaced it. Thanks for watching. Have a great day.
@mathieuverschelden4525 i have, but it's not very seldom. We have to typically, if we can't reach it with that amount of cable, we tell them we have to get the Jetter truck in.
Drain cleaning australia sent me here! Love the drain cleaning action in both hemispheres 😊

This was the 7/8 thanks for watching have a great day

K60... roots in the drain... what channel am I on again?
One of the best channels in the drain industry. Yeah that's right Jay That Drain Guy lol thanks for watching have a great day Andrew.
How much 15ft cable coil do you have? I mean, you used 90 ft worth of cable and I wouldn't be surprised if there was more.
So I have a total of a 135 feet. I did have a 150, but one of my cables got pretty kinked up and I don't know, I threw it out and just haven't replaced it. Thanks for watching. Have a great day.
@Jaythatdrainguy That's a lot of cable. Did you ever had to use them all at once for a job?
@mathieuverschelden4525 i have, but it's not very seldom. We have to typically, if we can't reach it with that amount of cable, we tell them we have to get the Jetter truck in.
Total hack job.
From me why may I ask. Never mind you're a wannabe youtuber who just criticizes other people work
