- This is a good one. The Word Bearers push hard up the centre while the Raven Guard do Raven Guard things. A close battle between two completely different legions. Warhammer Horus Heresy at its finest.

Anyone else like HH more than 40K atm? Feel like it plays better
Absolutely. Building up all my forces for HH now
I don’t know! I like it all!
Jup 40k never stuck on me.
Yep, have only played two games of 10th ed 40K now, as I've pivoted to building, painting and playing a whole army army for HH 2.0. Much prefer watching HH battle reports too, because fewer re-rolls, more randomness and with the way Victory Points are calculated, generally much closer games.
Hh is so much more flavoursome than 40k. It can be swingy but with the lower number of factions to try and compare, i think the overall game balance is generally better. The rules make it seem much more like a real war/battle, reactions are great, things go wrong, 40k just doesn't feel like a war game somehow on comparison, although not easy to put your finger on quite why.
Every time someone says Mhara Gal I hear Marigold. Difficult to be intimidated by someone called Marigold 😂
I always imagine someone wearing those yellow Marigold kitchen gloves, which also doesn't help 😆
Same here! 😂
Tell that to Triss lol

That was really enjoyable to watch; engrossing also. Thank you to both.
What a fantastic guest.
Great game! This guest was super cool.
Best one in a while. The Deredeo duel was really fun.
Man I'm not even that interested in the game but with everything going on in my life right now I just appreciate these videos Winters as a relaxing break in my tough day and shit, salute
Sky hunters have firing protocols(2), can you shoot multi melta and also bolt pistols? Brilliant batrep, SteveNotRob is always a great guest :D
Great report! Was expecting an Istvaan V report! Maybe we might see Lorgar vs Corax in the future?
Thanks for making this, painting up 20 Gal Vorbak at the moment for a Heresy event!
Loved this game. Thanks
That was a good one. Felt really fluffy.
Great battlerep. As a Blood Angels player I really feel the pain of a Deep Strike Assault gone horribly wrong. But I think you made a quite big mistake: As I remember (currently without my book), the Biomancy buff only works in the "Current player turn" meaning it would be gone in the opponents turn.
Excellent stuff! Something to listen to while I build 40K terrain!
Always love the Heresy, and hello Steve-Not-Rob! Long time no see.
Turn 3 combat for Raven Guard, at 55:46, the bikers should have run -? They lost the combat by two wounds, Sergeant was dead in the challange, and they rolled a 6 so should have been swept unless I'm missing something?
Hi matey
I've been watching more and more Heresy battle reports from you, winters, and I am struggling to pick a Legion to build an army around. I'm stuck between Blood Angels and Imperial Fists as I love Sanguinious and Dorn in the books so much. Any suggestions/picks from viewers would be amazing!
Both solid picks. You gotta go with your gut - or which colour you prefer painting.
Blood Angels have a lot more options for painting because they're so stylish, but Imperial Fists are the single best legion in the edition.
Really fun game. Thank you
Mhara Gal dread looks so damn cool...
Wow I really like that terrain !
Winters if you make another member tier for extra Heresy videos i think you'll find most of us will throw more money at you. Think about it
Definitely
The randomness created by the lack of CP re-rolls and the botched deep strike chance really added huge narrative layers and talking points to the game, I get that they wanted to iron out the randomness in 40k to make it less 'feels bad' in comps, but twists make gaming great.
Plus you can just stick a master of signals into an army to fix the deep strike problem. I'm actually surprised that an army with as many deep striking units as this RG force doesn't have one.
Loved this ❤🤘🔥
Heresy gang assemble!!!
Great game. I love the heresy games more than the 40k, but continue doing what you want. I'll watch it either way. Ps doesn't biomancy only work for the current players turn, and it is a 3d6 fallback for warhawk jumpacks unless I am wrong. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong 😅
Sadly, biomamcy only works in Your own turn. Still, what great battle report! Love the style and enthusiasm you bring!
Good to know. Fortunately, it did not change the shape of the battle or affect the final outcome. Cheers
@wintersSEO indeed. I just thought I'd flag it. Either way, I'm loving the HH content!
I’d avoid dunking resin or finecast in biostrip. I left a chaplain for too long and eventually the biostrip eats resin. It should be ok for short measured dips but over 30 mins and you’re in trouble.
The chaplain never recovered and the resin never fully hardened
Glad to see Raven Guard on the tabletop! Especially when the Ravens take the win in the end! Thanks for another great battle report.
1:09:40 Correct me if i'm wrong, but i'm pretty sure that in HH 2.0 you can't allocate wounds to the models outside of challenge, even if another challenger is dead
Was it changed somewhere, but in core book biomancy enchancment works only in controling player turn.
Marigold would be a great name for a nurgle deamon
Thought I read that models killed in overwatch count towards the combat resolution which would mean the speeders would of won the combat. If I’m wrong please tell me.
Doing that with the Jet bikes is a lil naughty…. Conga line feels a bit meh

HH > 40k. 40k can learn a lot from HH. 40k also has some huge imbalances. HH seems very even in comparison. I love that tactics is a thing in HH. 40k is being 3 of your best units and hope the dice gods are with you, especially if you plag space marines (with exception of 1 maybe 2 armies)
Some of the legions are definitely better than others (looking at you IF), and Solar Auxilia are terrible unless you spam Vanquisher Leman Russes. But in general ya, HH>>40k. Plus GW doesn't completely overhaul the rules every few months in HH.
Like and comment to support the best wh30-40k as usual)
Spoilers:
After such an unlucky drop i thought it's game over, BUT!)
146th! Yay!
