  • On this edition of Curator's Corner, NRA Museums Senior Curator Phil Schreier joins John Popp to examine a new Winchester. The two take that journey back in time with a firearm that's not so old when it comes to production, just in design ... the 1873 Winchester Lever Action Rifle.
To find more than 10,000 zoomable images of the 3,000 firearms on the NRA Museums' website, NRAmuseums.com. www.NRAnews.com. (Originally aired on Sportsman Channel Cam & Co. 9/30/13).

Those chairs are a better choice than the stools you used to do.
More close ups of the guns.
That should be very popular with the cowboy action shooters

40 years ago I passed up a chance to buy an extremely nice original Winchester 73 at a good price I could actually afford and passed it up. The seller just struck me as just a little bit suspicious. I have never had the opportunity to buy one since and really feel I missed out on something special. I have always considered the 73 to be the most beautiful factory gun ever made.

If something doesn’t feel right it’s never a good Idea to make the purchase. Usually there’s something not right in those cases

I like Miroku but sorry, this is just another clone. No different than if Uberti had bought the licensing to use the Winchester trademark.

There are some changes that historically minded shooters will want to know about between an original 1873 rifle and the Moroku replica. Read this:

Wouldn't this be more of a reproduction then a replica?
