I forgot to ask you if you know where to get a rebuild kit for the 451, specially the valve, valve guides, springs and what not. I been looking all over the place and no one seems to have a rebuild kit specially for the head on this model. I would hate to use, used parts to rebuild mine, engine is pretty worn out and throwing misfires all over, everyone is telling me to get rid of it but I can't, is my baby, I can't let go
@@viralbull8085 Hi mate, parts are hard to find. I searched online and found most things on eBay, mainly from Germany. Some no tree common parts I bought from my local dealer. Not sure there’s a kit though as I don’t think these engines are commonly rebuilt. Also try searching online for the part numbers for what you need as having that number makes searching easier
Holy hell he's back... This year I changed the clutch on my smarty and I did this th-cam.com/video/zzNmcAL9oZc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=bZmXkyR6WcGWPkmb To the clutch actuator and the reverse is now flawless, I didn't even use the scanner I just follow the procedure and the clutch was re learned again. This is the video I was talking about in your last video th-cam.com/video/Dlp_j37XGmg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=uIX3GatYLapm77u9 If you want to make more content about this car. I been wanting to get a steel front bumper where I can mount bigger lights on mine, the stock headlights are crap in this bugs, maybe you can make one to give us ideas. Good luck with your project, keep us updated
Thanks mate. I checked out those videos, I had so many alarms that I decided to upgrade my scanner software so I could clear them all. Another video not far off, now have all alarms cleared, clutch sorted as well given it a good clean. Pretty much back where it was 3 years ago. Next mod most likely a tow bar then front winch and later big wheels, maybe side step etc. have t looked at the front closely but will see what I can figure out.
@Mezzmoengineering This little bugs are bullet proof that's why I wasn't surprised it fired right up after 3 years sitting, don't let it die trust me, if you start driving it you're going to love it. Wish I had I shop to do the things you can, I'll probably be there fabricating all sorts of things for the car but we city dwellers can only circle jerk through videos like yours Good luck, will be watching
Gday, stoked to see you can back to the smart car build, definitely sounds better with that new muffler mate, cheers
@@MattysWorkshop Thanks Matty, can’t believe it’s been outside for 3 years and started first go….so nice to finally have a space to work in…
