I have just found the best youtube channel!!!
Im a paraglider pilot, and I have a small paraglider repair shop too here in Chile, south america.
Going to take a look at ALL your videos, allways something new to learn!
I use an old pfaff 332 sewing machine, it can feed very slow, and works perfect, even if it's 70 years old now.
Thank you, and il be watching!

really interesting analysis on using tension. I improved my patching by dropping to 8 spi and pulling tension towards my side of the foot. For my first 20 patches, I used pins to meticulously place the workpiece, block by block. I found the pins constrained the workpiece and didn't allow proper shrinkage. watching these videos always teaches me something new. BTW, I'd like to request a video... double needle corners, with and without a split bar. thanks!!!

Simon Wade, great vid. I have an easy time patching round parachutes, but I have a harder time on ram-air, especially smaller (120 and below) ZPs because I have a hard time managing the rest of the parachute as I'm trying to patch deep inside a cell. I would really love to see a video of you patching a ram-air well inside a cell so that we can see how you manage the rest of the canopy in order to get your working surface to lay flat easily as you rotate around each edge. Cheers!

Will do. It's on the list. To be honest, and not to sound like an ass, you just go crazy slow. In extreme cases I will open the tail seam, apply the patch, then re-close the tail. s

These videos are gold. Thanks for showing the practicle side of it. My patches tend to look like bubblewrap.... Will you do line replacement also?

This is great! It would be also good if you could also make a video about the basics of packing.

Simon, what would you think about a canopy with 10+ patches? Is there any issues in the future by this several repairs? Canopy is almost new and last jumper has a bad landing. Thank you in advance.
